warning signs that your relationship is not healthy
these are things I’ve learned from past relationships. (mainly for me to reference, but feel free to reblog and add on if you’d like.)
they often make you sad or upset to the point of crying or panicking
they turn things around on you and make you feel like everything is your fault
they use hateful language towards you (ex: “fuck you”, “I hate you”, “you’re a bitch”, “you’re disgusting”, etc)
they threaten to break up with you, then change their mind when you apologize
they don’t take responsibility for their actions (don’t apologize; don’t try to make it up to you)
they forget, skip, or sleep through plans that you made on multiple occasions
they let their friends treat you poorly, or they just have unpleasant shitty friends
they make you feel even worse when you try to talk to them about something that’s upsetting you
they make you feel like you’re losing your mind, make you question your sanity, or even tell you that you are crazy, insane, etc
they make you feel like you couldn’t live a life without them or make you believe no one else would be willing to put up with you
they pressure you to do things, whether sexual things, drugs, or anything else you’re not entirely comfortable doing
they make you feel like your interests are stupid or boring
they put you in danger in any way (reckless driving or driving under the influence with you in the car, bring you somewhere you don’t feel safe, force you to come out or out you to people, etc)
you feel overly attached to them, you have extreme anxiety when they take a long time to reply to texts, you feel that you need to hear from them during all waking hours, you’re constantly spamming them with texts, etc.
or if any of the above roles are switched.
