So yesterday while I was at a hair salon waiting to get my haircut I witnessed a prostituted senselessly beaten up. What really outraged me the most besides the fact of this poor women getting beaten up was the way MY COMMUNITY WAS RESPONDING TO THIS ATROCITY!!! (I will leave races or any description of the participants out purposely as I describe my experience) People where gathering around to take video and laugh at the victim while they chanted and encouraged the perpetrators to beat this women. A women with a stroller and a toddler walking just stood there and watch this happen.... NO ONE, NOT A SINGLE PERSON SAID ANYTHING NOR CALLED AUTHORITIES. I was the only one who despite my fear of being attacked for SNITCHING picked up my phone and called the police. Of course everyone left afterwards, the perpetrators got into their car and fled the scene, the victim left running, all other bystander kept walking, the police didn't show up... HOWEVER, I refused to be a silent bystander!!! I called the police and reported a crime that otherwise would have been unreported! I BELIEVE THAT IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU ARE YOU ARE A HUMAN AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH!!! WE HAVE TO BE MORE HUMAN, MORE KIND, AND LESS INDIFFERENT!!! HAVE YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!! DO NOT BE A SILENT BYSTANDER!!!!
