I cannot guarantee that I am right about this, but it’s long been my belief that the un-named subject of John Lavery’s painting “A Long Lady at Rest” is of Christopher Lee’s mother.
first: “A long lady” - meaning a tall one. second: check the eyebrows, they way they sit on her forehead. third: the nose, also quite similar to Lee’s.
