First art I did for OCs I made a week or so ago, yeah that's a picture of my cat in the picture frame, I didn't want to draw one. They do have a loose storyline you can kinda see here, but it's not really like... fully planned out yet
I think the worst part of the tlou second season was just the complete mischaracterization of all of the characters. By seemingly dumbing Ellie down and having her be less cruel along with less motivated, you lose purpose of the 2nd game, as Ellie is not supposed to be a good person. By making this change, you also have the potential to lose Abby and Ellie being similar morally, which is such a key piece of the game, especially in the final part.
Also, Abby calling Joel handsome, no matter how true it is, really threw me for a loop and was so insanely out of character. 😭

The fact that so much e33 lore and boss fights are completely missable is so interesting to me 😭. It totally just depends on how deep you are into the game and the lore, but I remember being so confused on the fact that it just told me to go fight Renoir when I wanted to on my first playthrough, and I didn't end up doing much, but I did 100 percent the game my second. Both Simon and Clea are such good fights, and I personally feel like the Reacher should be a story line that happens within the main events of the plot, it is such a good area.
One of my favorite statements from E33 is "We're all hypocrites, doing the same thing to each other." Because it's true. The Dessendre family is.
Renoir wants Aline home. Aline wants to stay there. She comes home, and he switches his focus to Alicia. Alicia, too, wants to stay there. If you choose the Maelle ending, you force Renoir into living without his daughter, with her shadow always there but never accessible. If you choose Verso's ending, Alicia ends up in the life she doesn't want. Yet, if you choose hers, Verso is. It's all just a circle.
Clea is "getting revenge", and while it doesn't explicitly state what she is doing, it can be assumed. She's doing the same to the writers as they did to her family. Robbing them of treasured family members, partners, children.
So many more connections can be made, but those are just some of my favorites!
Real Verso. It was originally supposed to be painted, which is why he has the Renoir haircut, buttttt... I probably will do similar ones for the other two siblings.
Love how nonchalant everyone is all of the time about the stuff Clea is doing. I just remember in a conversation between Verso and Maelle them talking about it, just being like:
"Yeah, Clea is out getting revenge."
"Sounds like her."
And when you see Simon for the first time and Verso is just like, "Seems he met Clea." The fact that that's one of the first things you think of is very telling. Renoir always seems very calm about it all, too. All he says is "She's fighting a solitary war." Yeah? Go check on her 😭 . This is nothing against Clea, I absolutely adore her character and find her so interesting, I just always think this is hilarious.

E33 spoilers ahead 🚩!
One thing I find so interesting about E33 is the fact that the Dessendre family (and the painted versions) are the parallels between them that generally seem to go unnoticed and/or are not specifically gone into in the plot. Painted Clea is forced into a life of solitude, forced to keep working tirelessly without the support of anyone around her. Every time anyone in the Dessendre family brings up the real Clea, the conversation is always short. "She's fighting her solitary war." No one gets involved, and no one seems to be all that worried about it. She's doing what she thinks is right to help her family, which is the same thing she forces on Painted Clea, in taking Simon from her and locking her in flying manor.
Painted Verso lived his own life up until Clea entered the canvas. He was his own person, he had his own house, had a best friend, a woman he was heavily implied to be in love with. His true passion was piano, the same as the real Verso's. I find it highly likely that even the real Verso felt as if he was being forced into a life he didn't want as some points, due to his true passion leaning towards music and not art, and we all know that Painted Verso was also forced into a life he didn't want. He cared for his family just as deeply as Real Verso did, and he would likely have made the same choice Real Verso did in the face of the mansion fire. Painted Verso does seem to have the most autonomy of the three Painted siblings, though, at least during the time the game took place. The opposite happened to him as Real Verso. Painted Verso was forced to live without his family, while Real Verso's family was forced to live without him
Real Alicia mentions having no future in the real world right before the ending of the game. This could, in theory, be applied to her, Painted Alicia, and Maelle. Both Real Alicia and Painted likely believe they have no future. They're plagued with the same scars, the same struggles. While Maelle did not have these, the shadow of the gommage always hung above her. She, unless they defeated the Paintress, had no future past 25. Real Alicia, while in the canvas, is the only one who believes she can continue living without her burdens. Even in there, though, she will eventually be hit with the same sickness as her mother, and both Renoir and Verso state she will die. Painted Renoir is Painted Alicia's only constant support system, after Verso decides to walk away. This could reflect Renoir being the one to attempt to get Alicia to leave, him being the one to try to convince her to walk away to save herself. Both Maelle and Real Alicia are looking for an escape from their lives, believing they don't belong where they are. Maelle left Lumiere, and Alicia found Lumiere.
Probably the first full piece I've done in a while. I like how it turned out, it's pretty close to what I was envisioning. There's just something about the idea of Clea burning books that I felt I needed to draw lol.
It's so low quality, this took me forever, I hate it so much but I can live with it. He is living the girl dad life to the fullest.
I don't see any talk about how absolutely terrifying that giant sapling boss in the crushing cavern is, like? I screamed so loud when it dropped me down there, I had no idea it was coming and I had never seen anything about it previously, so I didn't know what to expect. The fact the walls literally crush your party instead of the attacks from the sapling too is absolutely morbid, like it was doing about 8 damage to me every time it attacked but those walls coming closer were absolutely freaking me out 💔
I don't know why my style changed so much on this, it just did. I'll also do one for the Verso ending, I just got the easier of the two done first.
