You know what is most fascinating about Daeron?
If he's an alicole bastard like some people theorized in the past, then he's basically a male version of Nettles. After all, HOW would a hightower/Cole blood boy be able to hatch/claim a dragon if he has no targaryen supremacist genes?
Not to mention the fact that show!Cole is part dornish, which means that this theory also basically proves that Dorne has always been able to interact/bond/tame dragons too (and that's why he spotted Moondancer in the sky right away in S2 /s)... The "don't let them taint our beautiful genes" gang would be crying in their sleep I imagine lol
Like, we all know that the show's established from the start that targaryen control over dragons is an illusion, but the audience insists on this targaryen exclusivity thing. So the more people try to demoralize Daeron and Alicent with this alicole bastard theory, the more they make fools of themselves.

but having daeron be a dornish dragonrider would be peak albeit a pointed message that would fly over 90% of this show's viewers
because targ fans are nothing but racist incels
