what we know:

Sylus was walking around the HA building at one point. Reason for why he was there was *deliberately* left unclear. [I genuinely think they will revisit this in the story at some point as a "plot twist"]

MC calls Sylus by a fake name in front of her coworkers

Sylus is a capable hacker, and has hacked into the HA comms system

HA collects unique protocore samples to study

Captain Jenna approved MC's mission to try to meet Sylus even though it was frankly insane & dangerous

HA hired Sylus's fruit merchant alter ego for the wedding event

Theories:

HA retains Sylus as a consultant/contractor

& perhaps Captain Jenna knows that, which is why she was ok with MC going into N109 Zone by herself. Jenna could have even alerted Sylus to MC's scheme. This would mean that Jenna is intentionally trying to keep Sylus's association with HA a secret

Maybe Sylus provides them protocores to research on occasion, in exchange for sharing information

Maybe Sylus provides them physical security on occasion, like with the wedding event

Maybe Sylus tests their security system for flaws. Ex: maybe the person who discovered the vulnerabilities mentioned in this screen cap was actually Sylus

MC and Xavier investigate an urban legend ghost haunting

You choose ending - was it a misunderstanding? A hoax/prank? An actual ghost?

If you want to add other LIs, you can even make it like a fun Scooby Doo-style mystery, or make it actual spooky horror like the movie The Bridge Curse or the game Phasmophobia

MC hosts a potluck at her place

All the guys bring something, and ofc are trying to compete each other

I saw a statue of Sylus from the scene in No Defense Zone, and the bottom of his shoes were red like Louboutin.
