Why is it not us though

I was searching through

my photo album

I could not find us in it.

Seven years,

Four together I remember

But no proof

Unlike the pack of stickers

Sitting in the corner of the drawer

Behind ages of nothing .

It had us- stickers of smiles

And thousands of stars

It meant nothing back then

It still doesn't

But it has potential

To make me care again.

We could forgive

If we could foresee .

If we weren't in

Each other's memories

We wouldn't be

hurt of the ones

we relive .

Smart enough

By the age of nine

I could feel

Lonely but I was fine

Smiling with the stickers

Stuck to my wall

That I painted blue and bold

To remember what we were then .

When it is just me though

It's easier for me I hoped

But it wasn't when I

Opened the photo album .

Two years

I'm still feeling a bit cold

But it's summer

Filtering sunshine in rays

Warm on my hands

Pride in the air enough to

Make me feel okay.

Its like Me - the sun of rays

Of million possibilities.
