LUNA SENT A WORRIED GLANCE      , and it did not falter even when rose seemed to deny her advances . call her dense , but she was not so foolish she could not recognize distress when it was right in front of her .     ❛    you know that nothing is beyond my power .     ❜    and to a certain degree , this was true– so long as it was in the parameters of great britain , it was within her reach . after all , everybody bowed to the crown … especially rose’s family .

❛    … YOU KNOW I CAN’T     do that , rose .    ❜    her voice was just as gentle as her expression , but one look at her eyes and anybody could tell that there was no point arguing with her  –  there was no way the other could possibly fight back .    ❛    i’m not gonna leave you behind like that .    ❜

The moment those famous blue eyes latched onto the cookie, Ann knew she had to have it. She didn’t care if it cost all of the yen in her wallet–the chocolate smelled too good to resist. Of course, she’d also buy something else if she could for appearance’s sake… but after the long day she’s had of classes and Thievery of the Phantom variety? She deserved a treat. And, as it turned out? The violet-haired girl holding the delectable cookie was offering it to her for free.

“Really? You mean it?!”

A delighted smile graced the lips of the model as she nodded enthusiastically, all but skipping those few steps to join the Star. Oh, how something so simple could lift her mood right up! Extending her hand, the Lovers made a point of not just–snatching it out of the other’s hand. She had to be civlized, even if it was only a little.

“It looks amazing! Did you bake it?”

                    it was almost like giving an animal a treat. or a child their favorite toy. in all, it was adorable how the blonde stared at the treat and smiled at it. maybe she shouldn’t just stop at one cookie. she might as well give a bunch if this was the reaction to one. ❝  yep, go ahead. if you want more, i’ve got some out back.  ❞

The scent of something sweet drifted through the air–and Ann noticed it immediately. How couldn’t she? It all but smacked her in the nose, slowing her to a halt as she instinctively looked in the direction it was coming from. Was she imagining that beguiling aroma? A quick look around revealed that others certainly noticed, but none were following it… which meant she had a shot at getting some of whatever it was. Nodding to herself, the Lovers allowed the scent to lead her along, the bookstore she found herself standing before making her quirk a brow. Maybe it was one of the ones that had its own cafe? 

Only one way to find out.

Pushing the door open, the blond glanced around the interior to see if her guess was right–though she didn’t think she was about the cafe, that delectable scent had grown stronger. If It was one of those diffusers, she was gonna be displeased… okay, so she’d also have to buy whatever scent it was, too, but still.

                    To think that the ovens in the bookstore ( the bookstore, of all places ) worked. Apparently, they hadn’t been used for a while now, at least, that’s what the manager said. So, with permission, she decided to test it during her break, baking a batch of chocolate cookies for later on. And, they came out perfect. So, while waiting for them to cool, the Star picked one up, carefully covered in some tissue before pausing; the bell to the store. Someone was here.

            her frown is as clear as day, prompting creature of the night to intervene with comforting words of reassurance.          “   if i were her, i would think so.     as long as you gave it your all to return the favor,   &   put your heart into it too, that’s all i would ask for.     but of course, that’s just   me.   ”

                         “ i’ll be sure to do just that, then. ”  of course, she did make routine visits to the book shop whenever she could afford a new book or two for her collection. it was all beginning to pile up, and her bookshelves were beginning to become crowded. it would likely be for the best for her to soon donate a few things from her makeshift library. make someone else’s imagination a little more colorful with something she no longer needed, “ do you have any books on motorcycle maintenance ? ” an odd request, but makoto was willing to read anything from a manga to even a horror novel. books were books and stuffed with knowledge, no matter the subject.

she laughed a little, remembering a certain episode. “ i remember having to reject the offer of eating one of the dishes they too showed at the show. my friend was in tears because he was that amused once he heard as to why i did it. ” it took her a while before she could even think about the dishes without shuddering. she swore it was like she was under hypnosis! “ yes, sweets should be good. they don’t usually bastardize those in the show. ”

                        ❝ Yep, I gotta study virtually everything when I’m doing that stupid quiz show crap! If you even skimp out on one topic, they’ll get you with it! ❞ Pretending he was skeptical, he tilted his head and stared directly at her, opening his usually closed eyelids to stare directly into hers.

                        ❝ Ikigai is as bland as you’d expect! ❞ With a yawn, he shook his head at the thought of discussing those losers; those who thought he really might just be a cheater at the game shows since he struggled with staying awake during classes. Bah! ❝ If I could nap during class more often, I’d totally do that, but teacher is starting to get pissy about it… He even threw five erases at me for doing it! Heh! Other than that…guess the roof top isn’t all bad! With the fact I stole and made a copy of that key, I get to go up there whenever I want during lunch to take a well-deserved nap and eat my meal! Whad’about yours? ❞

          ❝ If they are ‘ stupid ’, why do you do it anyways ? And ... Don’t give me that look. ❞ Already, that ‘ skeptical ’ look he threw at her made her pout. Oh well, he’ll believe what he’ll believe. She couldn’t change that. ❝ Five erasers though, that must have hurt. And you’ve made a copy of the rooftop key ? Should I compliment you or scold you on that ? ❞
