(a/n 1 - at @sturnslutz âs request, this is my first proper longish fic and iv made sure itâs as long as possible for my pussy lips kitten whiskers cuz she gave me the idea for this so yeah this is for u)
when you bumped into matt, he hadnât changed one bit. sure, he face was less defined and his hair was much shorter, more maintained than before. his style was more mature and put together, but he still hadnât changed one bit. you did try to talk to him, but he muttered something about having places to be and that it was nice to see you before wondering off.
this made you decide to dm nick on insta one night, just a small âhi, hruâ to see where things would go. that led to several chats over the span of two weeks or so, calling and whatnot, which led up to now. driving over to the new address nick given you, cuz apparently the triplets had moved from where yall grew up to an hour away from you three years ago.
you had changed a bit too much since you last saw the triplets. hair dyed to something unnatural, style n aesthetic completely changed, you went out a lot now way more then you used too. taking up things you didnât before, you couldnât last more then a few hours without smoking a blunt⌠or two.
you still didnât have a real job. you tried posting on social media but that failed. still living at home with the most supportive parents a woman could ask for, it was one job to another these days. you has an interview for an animal shelter next tuesday though, you were excited for that. a hint of normality, nostalgia even. you and matt used to love animals, always saying how you were gonna get a family of cats one day.
pulling up to a larger white house on a street full of white houses that you presumed rich people lived in, you checked on your phone to make sure it was the address nick had given you. and it was. you and nick were the bonnie n clyde of you guys time, the closest a straight female and gay guy could get. to this day both of you didnât how yall had drifted apart so quick after the breakup, despite how messy things matt made them at the time.
taking one more breath, you tried to smooth the nerves you hadnât felt in a while before grabbing your phone and car keys. getting out of the car, you walked up to what looked like the front door. you knocked twice, waiting for it to open.
the door swung wide open, revealing a very familiar chirpy face. âoh my fucking- no way, candy! itâs actually you- you came!â the male exclaimed, immediately pulling you into a hug. you awkwardly hugged back, it was definitely nick. you could never get over how strong that boyâs grip was when it came to hugs.
âof course itâs fuckinâ me, who else would it beâ you tried to be as authentic as possible but for some reason, there was a part of you that felt off. like something about this didnât feel right. pulling away from the hug, nick pulled you into the spacious house and took a proper look at you. âholy shit you look- different?â nick stuttered, unsure if he offended you as he studied your hair, your makeup, your outfit- everything.
âspeak for yourself, you look so amazing- love the tats theyâre propaâ coolâ you forced a smile as you eyed nicks tattoos, and how his face had changed a lot since you last saw him. he pulled you upstairs, and you entered what looked like the kitchen and living room all in one. a guy wearing a cap and a black hoodie sat on the cream couch, typing away on a laptop.
âchris get off your stupid laptop- we have a guesttttt!â nick nearly shouted, having new found excitement that he was reunited with his once ride or die. your stomach dropped, staring over at who was supposed to be chris as he looked up from the laptop, somewhat dumbfounded. you took him in, the outfit he was wearing. damn he looked better than he did a few years back.
after a few seconds of both you n nick realising that chris didnât fully recognise you yet, nick huffed, âyou dumb motherfucker- this is candy, remember? one of our bestest friend from highschool hello?â nick grabbed your shoulders and shook you slightly while you shot chris a shy wave, not what you would usually do when greeting someone now.
chris almost instantly recognised you afterwards, not being able to process how much you had changed, like he was checking you out. it was weird, gave you that feeling you got years ago when matt did the same thing for the first time across the room. you didnât like it. âoh shit- iâm so sorry i didnât recognise you, itâs probably the hair-â âchris, donât be so fuckinâ silly, your fine itâs nice to see you againâ you cut him off, grinning as he got up from the couch and walked over.
he looked taken aback by the way you spoke, you never used to curse. ever. you had more of an accent now, an accent he thought suited this new you. he glanced at nick, getting a confident look, confirming itâs definitely you before smirking awkwardly. âhow you doing now anyways-â
âchris you nearly ready to go mcdonaldâs iv been waiting for two hours- oh.â
you all turned around. silence. just pure silence, the tension so thick you could cut through it. you and matt made actual, real eye contact for the first time since graduation, and fuck it didnât feel good. at all. after all those things he said, did to you. you didnât think he was in, nick told you yesterday he was gonna be out the entire dayâŚ?
âwhat is she doing here-â
you both talked at the same time. shit. this was gonna be a long day.
there you go kids part two ????
