THAT IS until last night, ive dreamt of seeing through scara’s eyes as he watched my unconscious body in a coffin of ice after the tsaritsa puts me to sleep hundreds of years ago to preserve the only remaining lineage she has left. but this also indicates that the friends that i made has to grieve for me until the war between the tsaritsa and celestia is over. that includes scara cuz heh we were friends but he doesn’t like to admit it (even though he was always seen watching my coffin after he’s done with his missions)

until UNTIL!!! he took a page out of the storybooks that i used to read him- where in the princess wakes up from a kiss of a prince! of course the thought of him doing that is absurd, but there is no harm in trying. the moment he did it there was an inkling of hope and anticipation that surges from his body, but after a few minutes nothing happened so he just gets up a leaves with a level of irritation that he might take it out to his subordinates later.

The Senate Commerce Committee advanced a slate of “kids safety” bills, including the controversial and misguided Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA). Our coalition of dozens of LGBTQ+, human rights, and civil liberties groups oppose KOSA because it would empower the Trump administration to censor lifesaving resources and expand Big Tech data collection while failing to make platforms safer.

Senator Markey was not present for the vote, but he issued a statement echoing these same concerns:

This is very significant. Senator Markey is seen as a leader on children’s privacy and tech policy issues in the Senate, and he is one of the only Democratic Senators who has lifted up the concerns raised by human rights experts about this legislation. Senator Markey’s leadership on this issue stands in stark contrast to his colleague Senator Warren, who co-sponsored KOSA twice despite pleas from Massachusetts’ based LGBTQ+ groups and hundreds of parents of transgender kids. Earlier this Summer, the Boston City Council unanimously passed a resolution condemning censorship legislation including KOSA.

The following can be attributed to Evan Greer, director of Fight for the Future:

“Senator Markey is showing real leadership by lifting up the concerns of LGBTQ+ youth and parents when it would have been easier to stay silent on a controversial vote. KOSA will make kids less safe, not more safe and will embolden the Trump administration’s crackdown on free speech and marginalized communities. Senator Markey is right to criticize it. His Democratic colleagues in the Senate, including Senator Warren, should listen to him instead of siding with Marsha Blackburn and right wing hate groups.”

Finally, people are starting to wake up and realize KOSA and age verfication bills in general harm everyone ESPECIALLY marginalized groups! I hope more influential people pick this up and run with it. We really need them to hop on board and speak out.

BAD NEWS:

The Senate Commerce Committee voted to advance KOSA the markup. The committee's approved version keeps the controversial duty of care provision intact, setting up a major legislative clash with the House of Representatives.

GOOD NEWS:

The Screen Act did not survive the markup! 🎊

You can read more information on Politico or watch the video on the Senate Commerce Committee site! It's only an hour it was very short! I was surprised.

In the article from Politico Marsha Blackburn (R) (She is for this bill) said this:

“The Senate cannot and will not accept the version that the House passed earlier. It is toothless, and it is a very pale imitation of the Senate version, and therefore, it is a pale imitation of big tech accountability,” Blackburn said during the committee markup.

(Marsha and crew for these laws GO GET DUNKED ON IN THE SENATE ! Also, this woman looks like such a Karen literally look up a picture of her. She looks like she calls the cops on her neighbors for having a bbq.😂)

Anyway, from what I watched, this is going to be a HUGE fight in the Senate. This thing is all over the place it's awful to even listen, too! I would LOVE to see them get laughed out of there!
