At this point it had been thirty-three years since she had started training formally, though she did have some experience prior to that as well, much of it self-guided. “A few decades,” Gwen answered, because she didn’t mind answering this - but for the most part she preferred to avoid specifics. At Lydia’s next question though, Gwen almost found herself thinking that it wouldn’t matter how good Lydia turned out to be at self defense if she would have to deal with a deluge like this every time she engaged her in conversation. She was fine though; she’d committed to this and she would do it. “I don’t brood,” she answered calmly. Mostly calmly anyway; some defensiveness did creep into her tone. “I have a variety of interests.” Many of which pertained to training in some way, but she didn’t feel like elaborating on her answer to a question that she felt had been an attack- so she redirected. “What do you do for fun, besides training and asking people questions unprompted?” It was fine if Gwen asked a question, of course, since she was more or less just repeating back the question Lydia had asked her in the first place.
"Oh wow, that's a lot of years. You don't look a day over 50. That's really cool. Do you have like a skincare regimen or something or is it a Carrek thing? Because Blue and Al have really nice skin too," she rattled on, more excited that Gwen was actually giving her more than a few words at a time for most of her responses. She wasn't entirely sure how far she could push it, but she didn't seem all that bothered to talk to her, so Lydia took that as a good sign. "Hmm, you kind of do. Maybe you just have a resting brooding face? Unclear. It seems like you do," she mused, doubling her pace as she caught up to Gwen's strides. "Oh, I like working out at the gym—mostly just weight training and cardio—oh, I like swimming, watching Kdrama, learning Kpop dances with Ryder, sometimes I cook and bake in the kitchen too when Al isn't too busy and shares the space," she said with a grin. "Would you like to share some of your interests?" She asked, leaning forward a bit to peek at Gwen's expression as they walked.
