{Lydia said softly from where she was sitting in bed, a book open in her lap. She hardly looked like the person sir pentious had grown to know them as after reconnecting, all of the usual sharpness and reserved attitude just gone, with her looking very visibly unwell.}

"Your so dramatic", he said even though he was also really upset

"...and whats it supposed to do? Should I use it on myself and find out?"

{Lydia said, lying. And she reached out to take the syringe back, her arm looking shaky and thin when her sleeve moved as she reached for it.}

"I would like to further examine it before you use this mysterious substance on yourself, or any other ones for that matter, especially because I dont believe your in the physical condition necessary to be using yourself as a test subject....though I am curious, does this already have a name? Or is it a new substance of your creation? What's in it?"

{Lydia said, standing up off the bed despite feeling off balance, and tried again to grab the syringe.}

{Lydia said, almost pleading for it now, as she held on to the edge of her dresser as her legs threatened to go out from under her.}

Meanwhile, Baxter took the syringe back to his lab and began running tests on it to find out what was in it, and it was a very high dose of painkillers, and other such drugs, with what appeared to be microscopic bits of angelic steel mixed in, and would have been 100 percent fatal.}

"why?"

"...im sure we can find a cure, theres no need for suicide, we can do anything"

In the meantime she would be keeping a very detailed report of all of her symptoms and developments as the disease progressed.}

{Lydia said, gesturing vaguely to her notebook without looking up from it as she wrote down the symptoms she had the past few days, which so far had just been a slight fatigue and decrease in appetite.}
