Haha ha the kids I work with can be little shits. One of them tried to stab the principal with a pair of scissors so that's what I'm dealing with lol. But they can be really good kids when you get to know them and everything. It is very awkward at first but you get used to it

I HATE TEACHING ELA CURRICULUM IT'S SO HORRIBLE BAD

Working with kids is so unnatural to me and that's a really tough part of teaching for me. I've been a student teacher for anthropology before but I was working with college-age students. Now I'm in an elementary school and working with and relating to kids is so difficult. I know the content just fine it's just been hard adapting. I speak all academic like and that's confusing for kids - especially ELLs - so I need to tone it down like a lot. Well at least my supervisors like me and everything...

It takes time! And really I just randomly ended up where I am now. I was supposed to have graduated already but I got into a grant program for teaching and now I'm doing this. I never in a million years imagined myself as a teacher. It just happened.
