I'm asking how you airbrush colors in layers! There looks like such a jump from one layer to the other and I want to know that whole process. Have you considered making a speedpaint video?
Hi @plaguechicken!
I’ll see what I can do on the speedpaint front. But for now I can offer some tips. With every piece, I work from the lightest and warmest color to the darkest and coldest color. Oftentimes it goes from yellow—>red—>brown—>green—>teal—>blue—>violet. The darkest color is a mixture between brown, blue and violet so I try to do that last. Not all of the pieces have these exact colors, so some are eliminated from the process but the layer order remains the same. Once I’ve finished putting down the darkest color, I can start scratching. That’s followed by another layer of airbrushing done in the same order. Tho on the second layer the darkest colors can be left out.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you’d like to hear a breakdown of a specific piece or if there’s a subject you’d think would look awesome in speedpaint form.
