I’m no longer in love with you, yet I can’t seem to move one. To love anyone else. I can’t even like anyone else and anytime that I try to start something new it just feels empty, like a watered down version of what I felt for you. My biggest fear is that I will never love anyone else the way I loved you or ever at all. I know that it won’t be the same because you give your first love a piece of you that you can never get back. You feel absolutely everything with no fear or restraint of what could possibly go wrong and you love with your entire heart in a way that isn’t possible to recreate once it’s been broken. You once told me that you loved me but now I wonder if that was true. You seem to love him fully and freely without the reserve of having experienced heartbreak. It’s like a stab in the heart when I see the way you look at him and not because I want you to look at me like that again but because that’s the way that I used to look at you. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to look at someone like that again.

The reason you are always meeting the right people at the wrong time is because the people we meet at the wrong time are actually just the wrong people, the right person is timeless. The right person makes you want to throw away all your plans and any sense of direction you had and blindly follow them into the unknown.
