Heart

two brown eyes, planted deep within fur, blinding me, like a flashlight. those lights that follow you on stage, they follow your every move, watching you, making you shrink under the glow of it all. yeah, that’s what it was like. he was tearing off my skin, i was muscles and blood in the water, going from mermaid to squid. my skin floated off like dead leaves, pieces of it sinking to the bottom, the other parts waiting to be eaten by bacteria.

my heart is in a pitcher of water, cooling down floating on the salty foam because tonight it will feel the flames. a man with a pitcher drinks it down and feels his foggy smoggy airy thoughts  heat up and put on the battle helmet. tonight they will challenge the world. she burns her fingers too fast from touching everything in sight
