You were a courtier of the blasphemous couple, and a much beloved one at that. Your attendance to any meeting or merry event was highly coveted by them, each word spilt from your lips lapped up like wine.
It doesn’t take too long for either of them to fall smitten with you, and they aren’t the type to be restricted by custom.
As soon as one realizes how fond of you they are, they’re already plotting with the other to win your affections.
That’s what it is — plotting.
These two are among some of the most passionate and charming Machiavellians to have ever roamed the Lands Between. They know everything there is about romance, obsession and suave flirtation.
The problem? They can be kind of scary.
Tanith is more straightforward in her flirting, and she comes on heavy. Her words are beyond just “flowery” — she speaks in poetry.
Poetry about wanting to rip out her still-beating heart and present it to you as a gift. Poetry about her heartfelt wish to have you kill and consume her. Poetry about wanting nothing more than to live inside your ribcage just so that she could be nearer to your heart.
It’s dramatic, it’s morbid, it’s … working?
She’s always calling you sweet little nicknames and holding your hand while you stalk the halls together, as coupled sweethearts typically do.
“How sweet you are. Why, I could just eat you up!”
Rykard is less blunt. His flirting is more traditional in the sense that you just can’t tell if he’s trying to romance you or not.

He’s a tall, intimidating individual, and you never know when next he’ll strike with a sweetened word or two.
He takes you on tours around Gelmir and the manor often, surveying you more than he does his own property

Always greets you with some sort of glittering gift. There is no end to them, either. You receiving a priceless artifact he calls “jewelry” is as inevitable as the sun rising.
He often implores the help of his wife when flirting with you, hoping to make your heart beat double.
“Dearest, tell me, hath thou beheld ever a more darling creature?”
“Never in all my years, my Lord. Such a precious thing it is.”
Rykard and Tanith on their own can fluster to no end when attempting to woo you, but when they’re together? It’s almost unfair.
You’d be invited to dine at the manor one night, which wasn’t all too unusual.
Really the only strange thing about the whole ordeal was the absence of Tanith’s knight from her side.
Even when the question was popped, it all seemed quite natural. Neither of them appeared all too nervous or desperate, though they undoubtedly were.
“We wish for you to join our spousal covenant as family. ‘Concubine’ fits just as well as ‘jester,’ and you are far dearer than either title.”
The food was still hot when Rykard explained it to you, and it continued to steam when you accepted.
Your wife commissioned your portrait the very same night.
Their bed is stupidly huge, like it was always meant for three people. You typically sleep in the middle, and while there’s plenty of space the three of you always end up nestled together.
You’ve found that married life is not so different from the courting phase of your relationship. They’re still capable of flustering you, and dote on you often.
Even after Rykard’s serpentine transformation, your relationship remains the same.
Both you and your Lady visit his chambers daily to chat, dine and be lifted into his hand to press some kissed upon those darling new scales of his.
You and Rya become the best of friends from the instant the enters the picture.
Lady Tanith plays the role of a mature mother, wise beyond her years -- and you are something of a playmate.
Rya just adores you, giving you cute little gifts (geodes, pebbles, flowers, dead mice …) and clinging to you constantly.
Tanith thinks you spoil the girl too much, but how can you not when your dear daughter deserves every bit of it?
Volcano Manor, despite its grim appearance, is dutifully ruled by such surprisingly loving individuals. Your Lady wife holds you in adoring reverence, your Lord husband’s heart swells to the tune of your voice and your kindly Zorayas takes great pride in her parentage.
Though a blasphemer, you felt somehow close to the divine when wrapped in the tender coil of those who you called “family.”
