#storytime some time ago, I experienced a #harrasment of sorts after work. There was a place I would hang out after work waiting for my ride. There was this guy from work who came up to me and chatted me up. Everything was going well, until he brought up something that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I hated it, I felt #unsafe . My mind was telling me to #calmdown and not do anything that would #inciteviolence from #theguy. So I kept up a facade of enjoying the conversation to #protectmyself from any backlash. To this day I still feel very unsafe about that situation and I still feel unsafe even #talking about the #situation. I'm #lucky that, that event did not escalate after that, and I eventually got to leave that place. But that situation will be forever ingrained in the back of my mind, that some other girls aren't that lucky to walk out unscathed or alive. #metoo #metoomovement

In #highschool I had a #smallgroupoffriends that #hungout and stuff. But as you #growolder you realize that you were #justfriends because you saw each other everyday. But at the same time, time spent with each other was still friendship in the most any given circumstances. I've had #friendships where we just fell out of touch or we just stopped talking to each other. We began to hang out with other people, and the sad part is that you don't notice until it's gone and you notice only when you're older. But at the same time it's #freeing yourself up. It takes a certain kind of #mentalfortitude to take a step back and really appreciate what you've learned from friendships that have #expired and you learn to move on. I've grown up alone, and I enjoy my own company. There's a difference in being lonely and being alone. Being lonely sometimes you want to be with others and experience things in a group. But sometimes being alone, we are forced to confront ourselves without influence from others and I think that's a certain kind of growth that only makes you stronger. But at the same time you can't always be alone, there are memories that will haunt you and the only way to get through certain things in life is with a group because that lessens a burden. To my friends who I haven't seen in a while,what ever you maybe going through, I hope you get through it. Because "It's been a decade with no art" but nothing will keep happy memories apart.  

It's one of #thosedays where my brain just remembers all those shitty interactions I once had in the past. Mostly those memories of mine were from doing #customerservice jobs, don't get me wrong they paid the bills and therefore I helped my family out so I am grateful. Then there is also barely any training and they just often throw you into the #fire. But the fact that we always had to #smile especially to rude customers and always #apologize really still gets to me even when we try to explain the situation. Like ma'am I just work here, I have no control over the #prices or how #management runs the place. No Ma'am we don't sell those here. #Honor your #coupon ? Ma'am can you read the expiration date, it's #expired .Ma'am yelling doesn't help, ma'am I can't believe your yelling at me about something I have no control over how they spelled your name wrong on your company credit card. Call them? Ma'am are #youserious ?

#livinglife as a woman in the 21st century. #beingamillenial and doing #poetryas well as #art. #themedia capitalizes on women's shame and oppresses us into submission. i think it's time that we not only become more aware of this but as women we need to band together as a community and help each other out.

so that in next life i can appreciate how fat I am.
