“Alright… so you’re the horrible roommate. Now that I can relate to. Tell me, is it underwear on the floor or overflowing trash cans or does it run deeper than that?” Though Matt always got lucky with his roommates and rarely got complaints other than being too loud at night, he could think of some other habits that’d annoy the ones who had to live with him. However, he was curious to find out if girls dealt with the same problems. “Exactly. I doubt you can charm your way into a new apartment.” He joined in with the laughter before patting his jeans’ pockets. This would be so much better if he had a coin on him. “I am, but that’s not the secret, love. Cause when you live alone, you don’t have to be alone. You can ask people over whenever you want!” He pointed out. “Boo, looks like you won’t be me on the invitation list for an epic housewarming party… And oh no, I could never afford something like this but I know how to force my old man’s hand.”

“Yeah, basically. More so, playing music all hours of the night, arguing, yelling, complaining, things like that. I’m pretty clean and shit but I’ve been told I have a shitty personality.” Luna shrugged as she didn’t ever let it bother her the comments people have said about her because it was either true and she already knew or false so it didn’t matter. “Sadly, ‘cause if I could, I would. I love saving my money.” Her laughter turning into a sigh. She poked out her lip for a moment. “That’s true but I’m not a fan of doing that, they can steal the little you have especially if they aren’t a regular on a place you go to like a bar or school.” She pointed out, maybe she was overthinking it. “I’ll live. That sounds lovely.”

Juliette glances over towards the girl, slightly curious about what happened, but she wasn’t going to question it. “Oh.. well I’m sorry about that. She is? Well, that’s good to hear! I knew Kai wouldn’t married someone who is totally just terrible. I’m sure that that won’t be the case. I’m originally from Australia, so that would be awesome! You should go visit it one day.”

“It’s fine, I prefer it this way. Yeah, she is. I’ve been told there’s always someone for someone and from what I’ve seen, they’re the perfect match. I hope you’re right. I definitely have it on my bucket list ‘cause apparently their beaches are better than Cali’s and I’m a Cali baby.”

“At least if they do have a pet then you know they won’t have a problem with yours..if you didn’t have the cat or dog the bunny could work, but that just sounds like a handful.” he chuckled. “Why thank you, my judgment is almost always right.”

“Absolutely true, couldn’t say it better myself. Yeah and with a job and school, that’s too much to handle.” Luna spoke thoughtfully as she realised it would be too much on her. “No one is completely right is my motto.”

“That couldn’t be more true.” she replies while nodding her head agreeing with the blonde as she smiles softly. “Ah.. aren’t so fond of your family, eh? I’ve heard nothing, but great things about her, so hopefully I do. Such a shame! Guess we both just have to attend a different wedding then. I know right? I wonder what it’ll be.”

Luna shrugged lightly as she thought about her family. “Don’t talk to them, haven’t for a while. I'm not surprised, she’s literally a rainbow of joy. If the next wedding I attend is my own I will be gravely disappointed. I’m hoping for Australia, I’ve never been and it will probably be nice around that time for going to the beach. If not, I have an Australian friend so I might just ask him to take me someday.”

“Sounds like a problem for your dorm advisor. Although I wonder how horrible your roommates must’ve been for you to actually want to move out…” The irony of discussing this wasn’t lost on Matt, knowing he was usually the horrible one to live with. “Not a single coin on you and yet ready to move out on your own huh?” A chuckle left his lips, knowing the girl probably wasn’t as broke as he implied. How else could she afford a school like this? “Nope, unlike you I like being alone.” He shrugged casually, before adding, “But if you want to rob a bank together or something, I’m in. Cause seems like these prices aren’t so nice.” Turning his attention back to the screen, he only now noticed the price tag.

“Not horrible just don’t click with her, I’m a hard person to get along with sometimes and seeing she has to deal with me all hours of the day, it’s best for the both of us for one of us to move out, I decided myself.” She admitted knowing especially on days she never got sleep, she was the absolute worst to deal with. “Right? Who do I think I am? Trying to move out without a coin on me,” she laughed lightly. Luna scrunched her nose, knowing the only things she ever regretted was living alone. “At least you’re comfortable with yourself.” She hummed before shaking her head, “Nah, you’re on your own like you will be when you move into your place if you can accord it.”

“Well then thats a pickle, unless you can just get a roommate that doesn’t exactly need to be a friend. Ah, three animals in one apartment might be a little much..plus bunnies smell.” he chuckled. “I mean, I do appreciate that..though im that great.”

“Hm, maybe, maybe. If they have a pet then there would be three either way but yeah, maybe I shouldn’t get a bunny.” She scrunched her nose as she wondered how bad it would be if she got a bunny. “I’m happy you appreciate it and I trust your judgment on yourself,” she chuckled.

“Yes, wasn’t that obvious? If you keep worrying about a change, one would think you’re not ready for that change yet. But usually, my advice is: flip a coin.” Matt shrugged, never one to overthink the trivial things of the daily life a lot. If he did, he would probably be a little nicer every now and then. “I believe if you would like at all the fucking great apartments I’ve favourited already, that would certainly end the debate.”

“I just don’t really wanna live alone but at the same time, can I deal with any more roommates in my life? I don’t have a coin on me, just my ID.” Luna told him with a chuckle as he probably didn’t mean right at this moment. “Why, would you live with me?” Of course, another joke but that was her outlet to avoid any serious stress. “But honestly,” she started as she scrolled through his favourites, “these are nice places.”

“Well, let me make some room for you then, love.” Matt said, freeing the seat next to him from folders and turning his computer screen filled with real estate websites to the blonde. “Feel free to scroll.”

Luna raised her brow for a moment before sitting next to him. “Are you tired of me debating this?” She joked even though she probably mentioned it more than necessary. “Thank you, but that doesn’t end the debate of if I should live alone or not,” she told him with a chuckle as she scrolled.

“I don’t even think you need to try. Yeah, exactly.. but other than a couple new things, everything looks pretty much the same, which will probably be a good thing for me.” she replies as she chuckles. “I love meeting families. Ooh, Kai was one of my best students! I haven’t yet to meet Violet though, Kai talked about her a whole lot from what I remember during his first year here. How was the wedding, did you attend? Those spring break trips are always a blast.” 

“I appreciate that. That’s great, life being made easier is all anyone could ever ask for.” Luna spoke knowing she always liked when life wasn’t up her ass making everything difficult. “It’s fun when you meet other families but not fun when others meet your family is my motto on family day. I hope you meet her, she’s great. That’s so cute, wow, I need someone to talk about me that much. I sadly had to miss it because I was in New York when I got the invite and had a gig planned and I couldn’t cancel. I can’t wait for this year trip.”

“If you’ve got a close friend, im sure it could be rather fun to live together if you guys get along. What kind of pets do you have?” he asked curiously. “Nah, you’re thinking to highly of me.”

“I don’t think I have any friends that are available to live with me. I have a dog and a cat, I want a rabbit but I don’t know if I could handle one too.” She admitted as she was always open to talking about her animals. “So what word should I use?”

“I suppose if you drive each other nuts, I could see that. What about a balance of both a friend and pets, like if you’re roommate wouldn’t mind animals around or something.”

“Honestly, that’s the best idea I got by far and both of my animals are super friendly so I guess I should just ask around, maybe one of my friends will be toleratable enough to live with.” She chuckled. “You are a blessing.”

“Oh, you’re such a sweetheart! And I totally was here before, I just forgot a whole lot and I assume that some things has changed.” she admits while chuckling a bit. “Ooh, family day’s are always great.. Wait, a wedding? Who got married? That sounds beyond lovely.”

“I’m trying, to be honest. That’s understandable, a lot can change over the years especially with things having to be rebuilt every now and then with these disasters.” She spoke with a shrug. “I guess so. Kai and Violet tied the knot. I heard it was amazing.”

Juliette smiled thankfully at the girl as she nods her head. “Lead the way.. and thank you so much really means a lot.” she tells her while happily following her. “So how has LRSOA been since I’ve left? I’m sure not that crazy, right? I mean I did hear about the whole flooding accident, but other than that I hope nothing bad happened here.”

“You don’t have to thank me, if it wasn’t for people showing me the way when I first got here, I would never have passed so this is me repaying those people.” She spoke in an almost teasing tone. “From what I can recall, not much. There were a family day and a wedding. A vacation to Greece and that’s all I can really recall so it was mostly good for people than bad.”

“Why not find a roommate to stay with you, or if you just wanna live with your pets then it might be like you’re living totally alone.”

“A roommate doesn’t sound too bad, but living with someone could make or break a friendship if you think about it. Maybe just me and my pets should do but I know I’m going to miss human interactions over the weekend.”
