Wato is on the brink of a nervous breakdown. Admittedly, they are usually on the brink of a nervous breakdown these days, but it's just— more, is all. Very simple really. Escape room schematics cover his desk from end to end, none of them working the way they want them to. Are they losing their touch? Is it over—

“Wato.”

As he usually does, Wifies appears to them in the midst of their nervous breakdown.

“Wifies! Hi.”

“Hi.”

Wifies picks up Wato's hand from their desk and pries out the pencil they're gripping with all their strength.

“Ken brought pastry flights. C'mon.”

Wifies holds onto their wrist until they stand from their desk. They blink at their schematics until their eyes feel less like dried up lakes. Like coaxing a small and scared animal, Wifies convinces Wato to exit their office with sweetly muttered words and a light touch.

Ken is in the kitchen when they get there, unpacking white pastry boxes and humming.

“Wato!” he calls out when he spots them. “I brought treats.”

“That's nice,” Wato says. Wifies is still holding onto their wrist, hand cool and dry.
