I do not have to reinvent the wheel every time I write fanfiction

I do not have to make every chapter's word count above 1,000 in order for it to be good

It is okay if some things don't make sense

I had a blast!! The whump was CRAZY which is great!! Not used to seeing such good whump in a female-driven superhero movie, and I loved the way Kara's character developed during the movie.

Okay you're so right @ryanthedemiguy I think they would be such good friends (had to put this in a reblog bc I wanna ramble a bit) though it would probably take a while for them to get there because neither of them wants to talk about the Horrors of Their Lives

They're also around the same age and have generally pretty similar outlooks. I didn't manage to get much into Ed's views of individual members of the Justice League, but I think he and Kara would have somewhat similar views of Clark. While Ed obviously doesn't have the "came from the same planet and sees the death of their home so differently" thing, he would (upon getting to know him) see Clark as generally a really good guy who pisses him off from how genuinely good he is. Someone who is good because he can be. Someone who shows mercy because he's powerful enough to afford to, and hasn't suffered enough to understand that mercy isn't always the best way forward.

Like in the end, Kara kills the man who murdered Rutheye's parents, so many others, and abused hundreds of girls. She tells Rutheye that she shouldn't do it, because she'll just carry him for the rest of her life and never be able to move on, and then she does the dirty work herself. Really similar to Ed's mentality towards Alphonse in 03 honestly. "You don't need to stain your hands. I'll do it. I'll do the dirty work, so you can grow up a little lighter."

Even if Clark disagreed with her method, Ed would agree with them. Commiserate with her and understand her. Plus they could get absolutely smashed together. Honestly I think he could go shot for shot with her pretty damn far, and when she's like "dude how are you alive" he can say something like "weird immortal monster dad" and she'd just be like "What."

UGH I hadn't even considered this. It would be a really fun one shot or short little story to write...
