Hello! I’m Mod. Thanks for stopping by!

To give you a little overview about myself: I am an it / itself person. I’m 30+ years old! I am a coffee enjoyer. I enjoy making collage / scrapbook edits. And I write blurbs and nonsense related to RP sometimes!

I’m a long time roleplayer! Though I mainly write on Discord these days, I’ve RPed across a few mediums over the years. Including here on this hellsite!

I ask for your patience please! I’m uncomfortable publicly getting into my personal baggage. But I can say:

I’m a very anxious person. I love discussing roleplay and characters with my writing partners. But it can take me some time to work up the nerve to reach out to people.

I am extremely low energy / I exhaust and burn out very easily. I can say this with complete confidence: it’s not you, it’s me. This is the nature of my life and circumstances. As such: I fall off easily. My turnaround time to reply to OOC messages will be low to sporadic on most days.

I experience problems with my memory. If / when I forget specific squicks or triggers, or if I mess something up with your headcanons / character lore I’m not trying to upset or offend you! Sometimes information gets away from me. Polite reminders about anything I’ve forgotten are welcome!

𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐠

1.) Somewhat selective. I am choosy about who I follow. I will keep the number reasonable for myself.

2.) Somewhat public. Roleplay is strictly mutuals only. I won’t follow or write with personal blogs.

3.) Mature and sensitive themes are explored here. Please follow and engage at your own discretion! Squicks and triggers will be tagged within reason, and to the best of my abilities.

Themes explored include and are not limited to: forms of abuse, bloody violence, death, existentialism, manipulation ( emotional ), mental illness, murder, religion / religious zealotry, implications and discussions of sexual content, suicide / suicidal ideation, supernatural horror, forms of torture, and more.

4.) Spoiler heavy & leak free. This blog is spoiler heavy. ( Tagged as: “spoilers //” ) OOC posts discussing plot spoilers ( such as gameplay and headcanons ) will be tagged. Spoilers appearing in IC interactions and threads may not always be tagged!

This blog is and will always remain leak free! I prefer to engage with the plot and characters with the intended experience / going in blind as much as possible. So you won’t find any leaks or discussion of leaks here.

5.) Activity level varies. I’m not going to be here 24 / 7 and I don’t expect you to be either! Generally speakin:  I am VERY slow with replies. ( Turnaround time may be couple of weeks, or more. )  There will be occasions where I reply more frequently, but that’s not the norm. 

𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲

1.) My portrayals of canon characters are strictly my own. Please do not follow me expecting me to write a character the way they are popularly portrayed by the fandom. Each portrayal I write is based on my own understanding and interpretation of the character. 

2.) I need to emphasise: I am not suited for, or interested in, longform lighthearted interactions. I have a strong preference for exploring interactions and character development through plots that are more serious in tone and nature.

Please do not assume that this means grimdark. Because it does not. I enjoy feasible, character compelling amounts of angst, elevated stakes, and drama. 

I prefer and enjoy exploring the “hurt” side of “hurt / comfort” much more than I do the “comfort”. But I try to strike a balance between the lower stakes / downtime interactions that provide breathing room between heavier / high stakes and tension scenes. But those lower stakes scenes must be earned through the development that comes with conflict.

On the other side of that: I love writing scenes that are over the top and comedic now and then. But interactions like this are not intended to last very long like a dedicated thread. Sometimes it’s fun to do a stupid one off thread of comedy. Or use a comedic scene that as a chance to break the ice between new writers / new characters / etc. before delving into a deeper interaction.

I do not write fluff or slice of life. Meaning: interactions overly focused on the saccharine, “feel good”, etc. Scenes and interactions that lack substance and do not further develop our characters or their relationships. Please do not follow me seeking out interactions like this. 

3.) I am almost always behind the current version of any live service game. It’s pretty safe to say that I’m always going to be behind on whatever the main quests are, or the character / world / side quests, etc. So my knowledge of the lore, and by extension my character portrayals, may be outdated and / or miss the mark at times. 

I am not interested in being corrected / updated / etc. Generally speaking: I RP characters in an ambiguous timeframe as it is. So I don’t see this being too much of a concern / problem. But I would rather make my expectations and preferences clear beforehand. 

𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬

1.) 21+ only. 25+ preferred. No minors. No “ageless” blogs. You must have some kind of general age indicator on your blog stating that you are at least 21+ years old. Otherwise I block on sight. 

2.) Keep out of character and in character separate at ALL times. The writer is not the character, the character is not the writer. I expect writing partners to maintain complete separation between us and our characters at all times. 

In the interest of maintaining this boundary: I won’t interact with any blogs containing self inserts / “personas” / “yumes” / etc. and / or any kind of “comfort” characters. Whether canon or original characters. 

3.) General communication is a must. We do not have to be in constant communication. But I must be able to discuss our characters and plot with you. I expect you to to be able to address issues and concerns that may arise. 

If you have any questions you are welcome and encouraged to ask them at any time. You are encouraged to let me know if there are any specific boundaries and /or preferences you have for OOC interaction too.

4.) Drama free. Do not try to drag me into any community drama or drama with other writers. I do not tolerate “vague blogging” about other writers. And I don’t reblog call out posts. If I am interacting with someone who is considered a legitimate problem, you are welcome to contact me privately ( with substantial evidence ) about it. But I will ultimately decide who I will and won’t interact with. 

5.) Do not interact protocol: I won’t tolerate bigotry or bullshit. Do not be an asshole. Do not use generative AI to replace any part of the creative process. Do not use art from artists who have stated not to repost or use their works. And I expect proper credit to be given to artists and resource makers. 

6.) Following / unfollowing. I only follow people I’m interested in writing with. If I am going to break mutuals, I will always block in some fashion. And if you unfollow I ask that you at least soft block me on your way out. I do not want to accidentally engage with anyone who may not want to interact anymore! 

7.) Blacklisting. I tag squicks / triggers and general blacklisting needs within reason. All items are tagged as “word //”. ( Specific media will be tagged with a “butchering” of the name. Such as “n.te //” or “tb.hx //”. ) I don’t do personalised tags like “[ user ] don’t look”.

If you need additional tags on a post at any time, please reach out to me with a link to the post and the additional words / phrases needed for the tag. 

I would appreciate if mutuals tagged the following: 

Words & Phrases: ( realistic imagery depicting ) bugs / insects, cancer, terminal illness, rape / sexual assault, surgery / hospital / medical, eyes / gaze / scopophobia.  Relationships: Aventurine / Ratio, Anaxagoras / any of his students, Blade / Dan Heng, Childe / Zhongli, Kaveh / Alhaitham

Note on relationships: These are romance specific. I’m not going to ask for additional / unique tags. Your own tags for any of these relationships are fine. I will work with what you’ve got.  

I have no objection to rape / sexual asault being part of a character’s past. I can write with characters dealing with this kind of trauma just fine. But I do not wish to engage with present / on screen depictions of the topic. 

I am fine with the portrayal and discussion of characters in Genshin having Eleazar and dealing with that. And when dealing with characters from Star Rail: the Mara and being Mara-stricken. Most of the time fantasy illnesses, plagues, etc. are fine! But it can be a hazy area, even for me. Feel free to ask about it any time!

8.) Password-free. There is no password in my rules. I don’t send passwords either. If I follow you, I have read your rules and will continue to refresh myself as needed. If you have followed me, I will trust you to do similar. 

𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

1.) Writing style and post length.

Quality > Quantity. I aim to provide a thoughtful and engaging post with each reply. All I ask is that you give me the same. When I write starters and scene transitions my posts will often be quite long so as to establish the scene, characters, etc. Otherwise: my post length varies as needed. 

I write in a “novel” style and format. Exclusively person narration, present tense,  quotations around dialogue, itallicised thoughts, etc. 

As a personal preference: I pefer to write with partners who have a similar writing style. ( Narrative tense can be past / present. ) I won’t write with those who narrate in first or second person. 

2.) Style and formatting. 

Formatting is completely optional. Generally speaking: I will match you with just how much / little formatting is done. And if you have specific preferences and needs with formatting, please let me know!

When formatting: I always bold my dialogue. I often use icons and dividers. ( Not all characters may have icons, but all will have dividers. ) I may stylise text with bold, italics, and some colorisation. And posts may be double spaced. Some alternative text may be used for flavoring.

  4.) Threads.

Ask responses can become threads. Just move the reply to a new post and tag me. Usually I will reply to asks in a new post to begin with. 

Multiple threads are welcome. The cap is three dedicated, plot focused threads per character. ( ex: Your character can have three threads with Lohen, three additional threads with Chaos, and three additional threads with Hero X, etc. ) Dashboard commentary, general banter, and crack interactions do not add to the total thread count. 

Threads have no “expiration”. I am very patient with replies. I mean it when I say take all the time you need to reply to a thread. I don’t care if a thread was forgotten, tapered off, or even dropped. If you want to revive a dropped thread: just ask me about it. I’ll let you know if I’m still interested in continuing.

Dropping threads is fine. Just let me know if you’re going to drop a thread. ( Blanket statement posts work! ) No explanation is needed. I just don’t want to reply to a thread you’re not interested in. I’ll give you the same courtesy. 

5.) Memes.

When sending in memes, specify which character you’re sending it for. Fellow multimuses: please specify which character the meme is from too.

Memes have no “expiration”. Send them any time. Feel free to send me multiples of the same meme and/ or multiple prompts from the same meme if you like.

Unless specified, previous interaction isn’t required. Most of the time no previous interaction is required to send memes. The ones that have any specifics or requirements will be tagged accordingly.

Please reblog from the source when possible. Otherwise messes with my activity notifications. But if you need to reblog a meme or two from me, you are welcome to so. 

𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲

1.) Plotting.

I'm an adaptive plotter. I can adjust to your plotting preferences. Just let me know how much or how little you're looking for and I'll work with you.

Personally: I prefer what I call "broad strokes" plotting. Basically: we discuss what we'd like to get out of the thread, set up the scene, and then drop our characters in and let our interactions take their course towards that goal.

2.) Generally speaking: I don't practice affiliation, mains, or exclusivity. You are welcome to do so! Please respect that I generally don't.

3.) Following for specific characters is fine. I can't guarantee my attention will be divided equally or consistently between characters. My interest and motivation with each character varies. They will receive different priority at different times, depending on my mood. You're still encouraged to ask for specific characters at any given time. Oftentimes that can be enough to pivot my focus back to a particular character.

4.) Duplicate canon characters and original characters.

Duplicate canon characters are generally welcome. As long as people are normal about it, I am open to writing with our shared characters. And I am open to having our shared characters interact via multiverse, mindscapes, etc.

Original characters are loved and welcome here. But I am somewhat choosy about them. The most common reasons I decline an OC are: I can't figure out how to work with them. And / or the character is one that upstages or undermines the canon lore and characters.

5.) Alternate universes, multiverses, crossovers, and canon divergences.

Alternate universe selective. I don't write any slice of life alternate universes. I won't create alternate versions for characters for other franchises. However: you are welcome to write alternate versions of your canon characters as you like.

Multiverse friendly. As stated above with duplicate canons. I generally enjoy digging into some kind of multiverse concept for duplicate characters. Having our characters go through world / dimension hopping is a favorite of mine.

Crossover selective. Generally speaking: I'm not interested in writing crossovers on this blog. I will consider potential crossovers on a case-by-case basis. Again: world / dimension hopping is loved and preferred.

Canon divergent selective. Canon divergent versions of characters are considered on a case by case basis.

6.) Plotted and per-established ( non romantic ) relationships are welcome. We don't have to start from zero with every character interaction. If you have a specific relationship in mind you'd like to explore, feel free to tell me. I love plotting out everything from mentor and apprentice to found family and even mortal enemies.

7.) I usually do not write romantic relationships. When I consider it: I am HIGHLY selective. And romance is extremely low priority to me.

All romance is strictly chemistry based and portrayal dependent.

Your characters can flirt, have crushes, etc. You don't have to ask about this. The only condition is that you understand they will not become anything more / be reciprocated / progress into a relationship.

I enjoy writing one off replies to memes about romance. These are fun to write and explore as a one shot type deal with no expectations of commitment.

8.) Generally speaking, I don't allow godmodding / god mode.

Exceptions:

Small actions and scene transitions. Moving our characters to the next location, scene transitions, etc. These are fine and encouraged.

Powerful characters using their abilities is welcome with plotting / discussion beforehand! Powerful characters using their abilities is generally going to be fine. Discussion happens to ensure we're on the same page with how the abilities work, impact our characters, and ensure that we agree on the outcome we want from the scene.

9.) No metagaming. There are no exceptions made for metagaming. Do not take knowledge gained out of character and use it in character without plotting / discussion beforehand.
