Oh Baby

“Xing! Xing, come here!” Luhan chirped loudly the moment Lay entered their shared room, eyebrow immediately quirking at the undeniably cheery expression the older was giving him.

“What is it?” Lay asked carefully, making sure not encourage whatever thoughts were parading through his hyung's strange mind. He refrained from getting too close to the overly hyped boy that for whatever reason was on the younger’s bed.

“Oh just come here, will you?” Seizing the dancer by his wrist, Luhan eagerly yanked him into the sheets face first. “Let's take some pictures together!”

“Ew, why?” Lay mumbled, mouth full of his own pillow.

“Because you’re my best friend and I want your fugly face on my phone.” Luhan practically sung while Lay could only snort.

“How can I resist such a heartwarming invitation?”

With his phone in hand and a cheesy grin plastered on his discouragingly innocent looking face, the older wasted no time shimmying closer until the two were huddled cozily next to one another. Yixing rolled his eyes at how excited Luhan appeared to be all over a simple selfie. And yet, he couldn’t deny it was fairly adorable.

“Now, look cute!” Luhan ushered the dancer to spit out the most precious look he can, whilst he himself did the same.

Lay couldn’t keep himself from throwing in the peace sign, like it was a habit, alongside poking his tongue out ever so slightly. On the other hand, Luhan didn’t even have to put in any effort to look cute. A simple smile was more than enough to make girls and boys alike weak in the knees, and it was more than enough to get the picture he wanted with Yixing.

 After hearing the click of the picture being taken and feeling mildly satisfied with how they both turned out, Luhan was quick to make another suggestion.

“Now, let’s be ourselves,”

“Gladly,”

As if this was what they’ve both been waiting for, Luhan and Lay, without any form of hesitation, pulled stupid faces, making disturbing kissy faces and crossing the eyes. It was like second nature for them: acting like complete idiots together. They wouldn't have it any other way.

That was the beauty of it. That was something they could never do alone or even with any other members. To them, being themselves meant being comfortable. And when Luhan and Lay were together, they were as comfortable as they got. Their relationship is one of the few things that keeps them sane as well as entertained.

And what better way to show how content they are being together than look absolutely ravishing for the camera?

“Should I Instagram that ish?” Luhan looked daring.

“To show people why you’ll forever be single?”

The older rolled his eyes.

“But I’m not single.”

“Oh?” Lay’s head tilted to the side in curiously and fascination, while Luhan grinned cheekily.

“I have you.”
