Go, Go, Go

Michael laughed. “I do stuff like that too. I’m not gonna let him stick his fingers in sockets or anything. The cutest.” Michael laughed again and pressed a kiss to the top of Jake’s head. “He loves attention, just like his dad.” The older male groaned and shook his head. “There’s no way I’m singing that shit to him. It’s a stupid show.” Michael smiled and kissed Luke’s cheek. “So happy.”

Michael frowned. “He doesn’t get bored of you, he loves you. You always play with him. He’s just being a fussy bugger.” He felt the toddler’s hand on his face, demanding his attention. “Yes, you, hello.” He turned to kiss the baby’s hand. “But I need to diversify his music taste,” he explained. “Now come cuddle me while we sing to him.”

Michael pouted down at the toddler. “I wonder why,” he replied. “I know you don’t mind, but this is for Jake, not you. I’ll sing you to sleep with Green Day when Jake’s in bed,” he promised. Michael furrowed his eyebrows in thought. “What about… stay together for the kids?”

Michael frowned and wrapped his hand around Jake’s little chubby one. “No hitting Jake, you know that,” he chastised. The baby frowned and tugged his hand out of Michael’s grip, clearly not happy at being scolded. But Michael didn’t want anyone hitting his boyfriend, even his boyfriend’s baby. “I don’t like when he’s in these moods,” Michael sighed. “Yes Blink. I sing him way too much Green Day, I thought I’d change it up today.”

Michael carried Jake over to Luke, bouncing him slightly as he walked. “Why are you being mean to dad, huh?” He asked, still holding onto him as he saddled up next to his boyfriend. He could see how grumpy the tot was, he seemed to always be in a foul mood. But with him and Luke together, he was sure he could get the boy smiling and happy once again. “Why don’t we sing for him Luke?” He asked, before sitting down on the bed. “I think a little Blink would cheer him up.

Michael moved into the room, going over to Luke and giving him a little kiss on the lips. He was worried about what Luke was thinking as well. He’s been Jake’s parent all by himself for over a year now, and he’s been doing a damn good job at it. It must hurt thinking Jake wanted someone else to be his father as well. “Hey buddy,” Michael greeted, moving around the bed to pick the toddler up. “I heard you were asking for me,” he added, giving Jake’s chubby cheek a firm kiss. Even if things were tense because of Jake calling him dad, he wasn’t going to let it show. He adored Jake, he’d do anything for the angel haired baby. 

Dad Troubles - (8/08)

Luke thought he had been careful with the whole Michael being a parent figure in Jake’s life. Of course he knew that the amount of time they spent together would soon affect something, to some degree. But he wasn’t really ready to deal with it yet. He wasn’t expecting his son to start to ask for Michael by ‘dada”. So when it happened he was a bit shocked to say the least. But he was a little more worried about Michael and how he would handle it. He tried his best trying to explain to the toddler that Michael was just Mikey, and not another parent. But after all, Jake was only a toddler. Luke looked up from the floor, and gave Mikey a smile. “Hey babe.” and as if on cue, Jake’s little head popped up from the other side of the bed. “There he is. We were playing.” He explained biting on his lip ring.
