this works for both OCs, and characters with puella AUs! this meme comes in two parts, so each part gets either numbers or letters to make it easy to tell which is which

part 1: get to know my OC

1: what’s their name? how did you come up with it? is there a special meaning to it?

2: how old are they? do they act their age? do they fit in with others of their age?

3: what is their element? what made you pick it for them?

4: how about their color scheme? what is their outfit like?

5: what was their wish? why did they make it?

6: did they have time to think about their wish? how did this influence it?

7: how do they feel about their wish? do they have any regrets? would they change it, if they could?

8: what is their unique ability? how do they use it? how do they feel about it?

9: are they a team player? or do they prefer to work solo? why?

10: what is their fighting style like? are they careful or brash? are they studious about magic / witches / etc., or do they fly by the seat of their pants?

12:  let’s talk about their witch. what is the name and title? how about design? labyrinth? familiars?

13: where do they live? why did you pick it?

13: what is their ordinary life like? how do they feel about school? 

14: how is their relationship with their family? friends?

15: what is their fashion sense, outside of their transformation (and school uniform, if relevent)?

16: what are their hobbies? do they have a particular passion? something they’d like to pursue as a career when they get older?

17: how long do they survive as a magical girl? why?

18: explain a scenario where they might become a witch (or unleash their doppel for the first time, if relevant. feel free to also talk about their relationship with their doppel here!)

part 2: help me develop my OC

A: what was your initial inspiration for the character? how closely have you stuck to that first concept? how do you feel about that?

B: what is the story you want to tell with them? why is it important to you?

C: let’s talk about themes. what is your character’s primary theme? do they have more than one? why did you choose it?

D: what kind of symbolism do you associate with your character? why?

E: what does your character think they want most? is it what they really want most? why?

F: what is the biggest obstacle to your character getting what they want? are they aware of it? how do they handle its existence?

G: what do you feel like are the biggest holes you need to fill in for your character? what has you stuck? 

H: what is the character arc you imagine for your character? what makes you want to write that story for them? 

I: think about their relationships and their life. how do your character’s surroundings influence them? what kinds of conflicts do they create? 

J: when your character is at their lowest (without turning into a witch), what does that look like? how do they behave? what kinds of things would push them towards a breakdown?

K: is your character the type to let familiars become into witches, despite the cost of human life? what do they think of the magical girls who do the opposite? what would they do if they faced a conflict centered around this? 

L: how would they handle the different truths about magical girls? (soul gems, witches, etc.) why? do they ever find out during their character arc? how does that affect it? 

M: if your character was given the choice to change one thing about the magical girl system, and only one thing, what would it be? why? 

N: talk some more about their physical design, especially their magical girl outfit. why did you make the decisions behind it? what do you think is the most important, or worth the most attention?

O: let’s delve into their witch. how did you come to settle on their design aspects? their familiars? labyrinth? why did you make those choices?

P: what areas of magic are your character best at? what about the ones they’re weakest with? what do these things say about them? how easily can they overcome or work around their weaknesses?

🎸 - Can your muse play any instruments? Do they play them often, or rarely? How actually skilled are they at playing them?

🎤 - Can your muse sing well? Do they sing often? If they were to stand up in front of a crowd, would they be able to sing in front of all of those people?

🗺️ - How often does your muse travel? Do they like to travel? Would they prefer to travel alone, or with friends? Where have they been? What was their favorite trip?

😖 - Does your muse have any embarrassing moments that they still think about? Do they laugh at them, or do they haunt them?

⛄️ - What would be your muse's ideal weather conditions? Do they prefer being hot or cold? What's their favorite season?

💘 - What is your muse like when they're in love? What does your muse find attractive in someone else? What are their love languages? How do they show affection? Do they show any distinct signs that they're in love?

🍡 - Can your muse cook? Can they bake? How well can they do either? Do they have any kitchen disaster stories?

⚾️ - Does your muse enjoy sports? Do they play any, or do they simply prefer to watch? Do they have a favorite sport?
