*casually neglects this blog for 4 days* haha lmao who wants a starter
Here we have Eli holding a big bag of Christmas cookies for Cassius. He also has a cookbook for him. But before giving him either, he instead gives him a big bear hug. "Merry Christmas, Cass!"
"Wha--!" Cassius is surprised at the sudden bear hug, especially seeing as Eli is big enough to easily lift Cass right off the ground with his embrace, but he's quick to return it, wrapping his arms tight around Eli. "You really didn't have to get me anything," he said, sounding almost as shocked as he felt. "I didn't think you would."
“merry christmas, i guess.” ( he actually doesn’t care about christmas. )
"You don't seem too enthusiastic."

“Be it an emotion or not, beings like us are usually linked to it one way or another.” Tilting their head a bit to their left, the sudden motion was then followed by blue eyes blinking a bit in surprise.
“You guessed right, though you could also say I’m melancholy, either way I say they both go hand in hand.”
"Fair enough. I guess we must know each other, then, even if I can't remember you, considering what we are." He takes a moment to spite his faulty memory. It would doubtlessly be easier to get to know the other personifications if he could remember all of the times he had met them across the centuries. But, well... There was no time like the present, he supposed.
"Anyway -- people call me Cassius. What about you? Did you pick up a human name, yet?" He knew there were some personifications that preferred not to, and still others that changed their name every decade or so. Cassius had always been Cassius -- or, at least, for as long as he can remember; he can't imagine being anything else.
He saw the immediate change in his friend’s mood and it made him regret bringing the subject up. He didn’t like seeing Cassius upset. But he did represent grief, so he wouldn’t be in a good mood the majority of the time. Eli can’t be too surprised by such a thing. “I suppose it would be.” Silence hung in the air after that moment, the only sounds being heard were that of the machine the brunette was using to make their drinks. Though eventually he decided to break the silence when their drinks were done and he handed Cassius his. “Hey, you could spend Christmas with Umbra and I if you’d like. I bet Adacio will be there too. Not sure if you remember them all too well, but Umbra is silence and Adacio is determination. You’re welcome to come if you’d like.”
"Oh... Really?" Cassius is surprised by the offer for a moment, but then -- well, he really shouldn't have been, should he? Eli is Kindness, after all. It's only natural that he'd try to brighten the day of everyone he came across, especially people who he knew. With that in mind, Cassius let a soft smile cross his lips. "Yeah... Yeah, I think I'd like that. You'll have to deal with me crying through the whole thing, though, probably. So... just as long as that's okay."
“Depends, if you’veever been associated with depression or some other emotion that’s negative, than perhaps you have.”
"Pretty sure depression's not exactly an emotion," he says, "but yeah, I'm Grief. And you must be... Sorrow, then?"

➳ Λ ЩΛЯ IƧ MӨЯΣ ƬΉΛП ΉΣΛЯD— ᄃӨMIПG IП ᄂӨЦDΣЯ ƬΉΛП ЩӨЯDƧ
「☾」;; — “No, I’ve never— wait, there’s more people who are like me?” He said ‘us’, so this stranger must be included. This was… strange; never had he thought that he’d meet more non-humans; Sun, Earth, Star, his guardians and he were the only ones he thought existed on earth. Huh… he really was learning new things every day. "Grief, huh? I… have no idea what to call you. Do you prefer Grief or Cassius? As for me, I go by numerous names — Mikazuki or simply Mika or Zuki. Call me whichever suits your fancy."
Wow...! Worrisome as the idea of having never met another personification before was to Cassius, it was sort of exciting, being the first for the other. There was so much that Cassius could teach him, if he would be allowed to... But he pushed that thought aside, for now.
"Yeah, I'm Grief. You should definitely call me Cassius, though -- that's what I've been called for centuries, and anyway, I'm pretty sure humans would think it was a little strange if you went around calling me Grief, wouldn't they? Cass also works, though, since Cassius is kind of a mouthful. It doesn't really matter to me." He shrugs. "Mika is cute; let's go with Mika."
├ i do, yes. ┤
their eyebrow is raised. you’d better run.
But Cassius stopped being afraid of War ages ago -- what was the point when you didn't fear pain?
"So... You have a couch, then? That someone could.... hypothetically.... sleep on?"
「☾」;; — Huh? He could only blink as he felt the other’s touch brushed against his wrist, wondering if it was okay. His body temperature was really cold, so wouldn’t the stranger find discomfort in touching him? Concern grew on his face from the sudden tears threatening to run down the other’s cheeks, wondering what was wrong. Was it the coldness of his body or was it — oh. He’s stunned when he hears the other’s guess, nearly catching his breath in shock. How did he… know? "I’m…. moon — the moon, I mean. How did… how did you know? Who are you?”
"Huh?" The nature of this guy's surprise, it was... different from most of the others he had met. He peered closer at the other. "Moon, haven't you... Have you not met another one of us before?" The idea is worrisome... Surely not, right?
"I'm Grief. People call me Cassius, though."
”…” Initially he’s silent in response, honestly Bastion isn’t really used to people remembering him. But, after some time, he hangs his jaw open and lets out a very quiet sigh. “Yeah. Yeah it’s Snow. You’re… Uh.” He doesn’t actually remember, the thing about Bastion is his memory is very short term, and he doesn’t really… feel emotions like other personifications can. He can feel physical things, but he can’t feel this guy.
"It's Grief, but humans call me Cassius. You can, too," he says, smile widening at the confirmation. "It's okay that you don't remember. It's been a while since we've met face to face like this." Or, at least, Cassius thought so. Time was a pretty flexible concept for Cassius, different from how he suspected it was for something physical like Bastion. Certainly from his perspective it had been a long time, anyway. "How have you been?"

├ yeah, I suppose you could. depends on what it is. ┤
"...You have a house, right?"
「☾」;; — "One of… huh? If I may ask, who do you mean by ‘us’?" The confusion on his face was evident as he blankly stared at the other. "I don’t know who you are, so nothing.. comes to mind. I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to ask for you to clarify." Because now, he was extremely curious.
Oh... that's troublesome. Is it possible that he really isn't one...? Cassius had been so sure, this time... Determined to test it, Cassius braced himself, then reached out to touch the other's wrist. He trembles at the rush of grief and loss that strikes him, tears springing to his eyes, but he manages to keep his composure. "Yeah," he says. "Yeah, you have to be. You're... something celestial, right? A.... star?" No, that's not right...
