my fishies are on a date!!! my sweet baby (in the cup) is egg bound so im hoping kimmie will help the lady out :) . theyre flirting like crazy i got some slow jazz on too i think its working 😭. ill let kimmy hang out with the fertilized eggs and i’ll unfortunately have to cull them all, i have a 10 gal and a 5 gal open but i doubt ill be able to raise babies without my own brine shrimp. just about getting sweet pea nice and healthy!

sherby is all moved in! got some photos and confirmed he is female , dont care though ! hes fuckin up his crazy driftwood, and to think he was in a little 2 gal at my lfs and they didnt even know he was still in there. living it up in this 30 gal! got some hilarious footage of him bullying his bubbler, first one hes ever seen i guess lol. id love to get him some more anubias he eats it pretty slowly in comparison to his hornwort :) .

worst thing happened yesterday, i was getting ready to replace my betta that passed i finally felt ready. i fed my main tank and couldnt find my gourami. i filled the tank yesterday, pretty damn high because it evaporates so fast. it turned out he jumped out of the very slim gap in the lid and was dead on my carpet. i had a piece of bamboo planted so the lid was slightly back and that was enough.

still replaced my betta with the support of my friends telling me this wasnt my fault and was cruel and i can own another fish. i will post about it soon

sherb is turning red!!!! his tail has these gorgeous deep red spots and his head is darkening as well! so proud of him. sourcing a 20 gallon for him to go into once hes no longer a juvenile!

worst news…. my son kugo passed. he had popeye and i quickly treated with kanamycin and water changes. after 3 days i swapped him to a smaller tank with his old substrate, 20% old water (charcoal to remove meds) & filter ofc. this was because i was having trouble finding and feeding him. he hid but lived in the tank for a week before i had a dream he was all white and i woke up and saw he was gone. he was my first crowntail and i didnt get any photos of him in his prime; i was so busy just watching him myself. his popeye Did go down he just didnt recover energy at all. in hindsight it may have been the added stress of a new tank. fishkeeping is hard as fuuuuuuuck

kimmy, my boyfriends betta i set up for him x). shes got these beautiful yellow dots i gotta say this isnt her best angle shes lit gorgeous. kimmy uses she her my bf wanted girl fish

kugo! (middle of tank change) hes impossible to photograph but perhaps the most beautiful orange crowntail. he had popeye a few weeks back and was medicated & moved to a 5 gal for easier maintenance and viewing but he still manages to hide from me all day. cant wait til he recovers his energy bar and continues his hobbies; poking snails, jumping thru hornwort and mogging himself in the glass.
