Suki turned 6 this month. Not sure exactly when her birthday is, but we’ve had her since she was 1 and that’s what the shelter told us. She’s had some skin issues that we’ve seemed to have mostly figured out, but other than that she still acts like a big puppy. Happy birthday Sukes!

Breonna Taylor
June 5, 1993 - March 13, 2020
Today, March 13, 2021 marks the one-year anniversary of the death of Breonna Taylor. She was shot 8 times and killed by Louisville Metro Police during a raid in her own home where she laid asleep with her boyfriend at 1 o'clock in the morning. This was even after being identified as a non-aggressive, "soft" target. She was left to die by police and denied medical help, despite barely clinging to life, showing no threats, and being an outstanding, award-winning emergency medical technician herself.
#SayHerName is a hashtag that was started for people like Breonna, Black women. We are not loved by this Western world. We are often used and then squandered, our lives snuffed out like candles when we show no immediate benefit to our oppressors.
We shared the same city. We lived in the same neighborhood. We knew the same people. My parents went to the same university as Breonna. Her best friend and I are in the some of the same classes. She could have been me.
Do not forget her. Do not stop saying Breonna Taylor.
Do not stop saying her name.
No Justice, No Peace.
I cannot sit still, fully at peace while her body lays bruised and bullet-riddled knowing that her killers are free.
Her looks do not matter, not now. But, oh how I have wept facing my mirror each day—but especially this morning—thinking of the reason behind her suffering. There was none except for bigotry and hate and the total disregard for human life, the total disregard for a precious Black woman's life.
Please visit JusticeForBreonnaTaylor.org, sign the petition, contact Louisville officials, and exercise your support.
Hold those responsible accountable. Don't stop saying her name. Black lives matter, even when they stop trending.

For the last time! The Natural Hair Movement was made by Black women for Black women! If you are not Black start a movement of your own! Then let's clear something else up. The NHM was made for type 4-3c hair. That's not to say other Black women can't be involved. You can, just remember why it was started in the first place. But anyways, as I was saying....If you are white or a nb POC the NHM is not for you. White women stop posting in the natural hair tag. I'm tired of seeing straight hair or hair that's wavy when I go through the tag. If you wanna argue I'm bout to dead all that noise right now.
To this day we are discriminated against and even racially profiled for our hair. We lose jobs and even get kicked out of school for something that shouldn't even matter. The day you have to get a law made for you to wear your hair the way it grows out of your head or if any of this happens to you, which will never happen, then you can hit me up. Until then sit down somewhere and be quiet.
I would also like to add that this is not an American issue. Just like racism, this is a world issue. Kids in Africa can't even go to school without being sent home for their hair being "distracting" or "unpresentable". Before you try to make up excuses do research.
I would also like to add these because they are just as important as the others.

My partner got these plates from @bendangstudio_official when we were in Malaysia back in March. One broke in transit. I also made this orange brick backdrop with foam core, a pen, a wood burner and of course the orange paint.
