huh, i think you installed the wrong version of nord by nordwest featuring…critical role’s campaign 3 characters!?

apropos of my mighty nein redraws of sam’s nordvpn ads from last year, it felt necessary to draw a version with the c3 characters.

This came onto my twitter dash today and I’d really like to talk about it for a second.

The attitude of elitism has been fucking rampant in this fandom since the launch of this game and tbh it’s really disappointing? This is a relaxing game about the freedom to do whatever you want, when you want, how you want. There isn’t a “right” or “wrong” way to play this game. That’s the entire point! Please let people use amiibo cards to move their favorite villagers onto their island, let people time travel, don’t shit on people for liking certain villagers – let people enjoy the game. 

We’re facing a world-wide health crisis right now, and the relaxing, slow-paced nature of this game is a hugely helpful and healthy coping tool; nobody needs to feel bad about themselves over Animal Crossing of all games. Please let people play the game they purchased with their own money the way that they want to. If you disagree with the way certain people play, please don’t shame them for it, don’t insult their “taste”; just mind your own business and carry on with your day. 👍
