The life she had been working on building for herself has fallen apart since she’s been gone so she’s starting all over again. 

where are they living? are they living with anyone? She’s living in the church she grew up in again, trying to get her life back to a stable place after coming back. 

why is your character affiliated with who they’re affiliated with?  She has a deep distrust for any government organization at this point, fearing anti-mutant sentiment in them. She feels like if either is given too much power it could be a bad thing.
