A few nights ago we had a barred owl flying above us land on the top of a tree in the cypress forest a few minutes before sunrise. It’s hard to capture wildlife a night because of the use of long exposures, and I didn’t want to blind the owl by using a flash to freeze the motion. The owl decided to stay still while I bounced the light from my flashlight on the ground. Once in a lifetime shot.
