So, I'll confess, I found out about Daemon long before I actually got to his introduction in the anime and I was fully prepared to dislike him. From what I'd seen, he was an evil, evil man and hated everything that Primo represented. But that's not what I saw when I watched him in the anime. Yes, he hates the ideal that Primo fought for... is what he *wants* you to think. But he doesn't truly. You can see it in the way he looks at Tsuna when Tsuna reveals himself to be similar to Primo. He loves him, he loves the Sky that he betrayed and I think that's why he did it. Daemon saw how the world was changing around them and, more importantly, how it *wasn't*. Primo, for all of his good intentions, wasn't changing everything, wasn't able to save everyone, so Daemon, whose job as the Mist is to cloud the enemy's vision of the Family, took it upon himself to protect the Vongola that he loved so much. Now, before someone says something about Daemon's comments of Primo "disappointing" him, yeah, Primo *did* because Primo couldn't see what Daemon thought was the only solution to the issue: make the Vongola feared so that no one would dare to hurt him, to hurt *Primo*. So yes, Daemon betrayed him, but it wasn't out of hatred for Primo, it was out of a love from a man that felt he was the *only one* who feared for the future where Primo's legacy would be lost. At least if the Vongola were feared, all would remember what they started as.

Ok, chart time. KHR Undying Will Flames into divided into a cohesive whole (Pretty sure somebody already did this like this)

So we have 3 axis under the Sky (which would be Sky Flames / Unity)

So the X axis is the axis of Reality: Storm and Mist flames represent everything that is, that could be and isn't.

The Y axis is the axis of Change: Lighting and Rain flames are everything that changes and everything that doesn't.

And the the Z axis is the Axis of Replication (I guess it should be named Parallel): Basically, it just represents every possible configuration of anything that can exist. Cloud and Sun flames multiply stuff in different ways with a lot of room for variation and evolution.

These axis represent the world, Reality affects Space, Change affects Time and Replication affects Parallels.

So, the Trinisette

The Mare Sky ring controls Replication, and it lets the user get to see parallel realities and go insane through overload.

The Sky arcobaleno gets Change, that let's her see the future, we'll not really, Yuni got that from her family... I think. The arcobaleno get transformed into babies though.

The Vongola sky ring get Reality, so they get to see every other user of the ring since their creation. Apparently, they can also be reforged, cool.

Anyways, an idiot would think that getting the trinisette would let him change the world. It probably wouldn't.

but i am sorry to say this theory does not hold up to close inspection at all

the reason for that is that rain-lighting and sun-cloud axis don't inspect flames close enough

allow me to start with lighting-rain (totally different thing from rain-lighting btw they are not the same at all nuh uh). you put fluidity-solidity here but by doing so you compare apples to butter. yes rain flame has a certain fluidity to it but the action it performs is actually slowing down. in the same matter lighting flame solidifies but if you had to describe its physical property that would be electricity. you get either slowing-solidifying or fluidity-electricity axis, but you can't mix them up the way you did.

as for cloud-sun axis... well, first of all, iris. she exists. a cloud flame user who uses her cloud flames to expand the organic matter of. um. her slaves. yeah. it's a thing that happened.

but if we want to ignore that (altho valuable flame lore) we still have skull who does this

just cuz. sorry i just love this image. he is also said to be nearly immortal with it being implied (although not stated!) that it is due to his high regeneration which he would have to use cloud flames for.

but you also don't take in account the actual mechanism of sun flame regeneration. they do not replicate the organic matter. they accelerate whatever they're used on the same way rain flames slow it down. the body heals itself because that's what bodies do. sun flames won't make your carrot into two carrots. that's what cloud flame is for. but sun flames will make your carrot grow faster.

stepping away from carrots the logical extreme of sun flame application can also be dangerous because accelerate too much and your body will start falling apart the way it naturally does when we get old. which does not happen with cloud replication where instead we get unnatural shapes

I am always feeling some type of way about Kyoko let's be so real here 😂 Don't mind my queue spitting out like all of your Kyoko tag lol

But since we're here, I'd like to take the opportunity to ramble about my girl for a bit:

Firstly, it is so so so important to me that she's a girly girl. She's the class idol! She wears pink! She likes cake and cute things and pretty dresses! She fits into the gender norms expected of her in a way I never did, and I have worked so hard on learning to love those things for her and other characters like her.

Secondly, she is so incredibly kind to pretty much everyone. Incredibly soft-spoken, mild mannered, almost endlessly cheerful and optimistic and so incredibly naive. The only time we really see her reach for violence (as far as I know/remember) is when Reborn shoots her with the Dying Will Bullet the first time and she immediately marches downstairs to have Words™ with Nana about calling Tsuna "No good". This girl, who literally asked her brother not to fight because she couldn't bear seeing him get hurt, is ready to throw hands over one of her friends being called "No good". Which I think says a lot about her priorities tbh.

(The wiki also says she lunges at Mochida when he names her as a prize in the Kendo match against Tsuna, which I don't think made it into the anime and I'm a bit mad about that now ngl. Justice for Kyoko and her secret violent tendencies 😤)

But it also says a lot about her considerations for social graces. She only confronts Nana because the Dying Will Bullet strips away her inhibitions. You could absolutely get into the weedy tangle of where her enjoyment of typical girly things (cake, shopping, cute things, etc) may meet feelings of being trapped within the social expectations of being the school idol and proper behavior for a girl her age.

I also think she has a lot of potential for losing some of that naivety as she grows older, and perhaps gets more embedded in the mafia. I love poking at the spine hidden beneath her mild-mannered face (and may have been influenced by reading BAMF Kyoko fics back in high school lol). Like maybe she does have a lust of violence that matches her brother's. Maybe, like Tsuna, she never wants to fight but will if she must. Maybe she cries while holding the gun and ultimately can't bring herself to shoot it. We don't know! And that's just so fun to ponder >:3

Honestly, her childhood dream of becoming a prima ballerina with a back-up plan of becoming a cop really exemplifies everything about her in my opinion. The love of beauty, grace, elegance, the arts, and the sense of justice, need to protect, aspirations of becoming a pillar in her community, faith in the societal system around her <- general impressions of why she may be drawn to those careers. Also, becoming a prima ballerina in particular is not easy. It takes a lot of ambition, determination, and self-discipline to do. That is a pro athlete kind of career, which is another parallel to her brother.

the younger ones left the Vongola at damon's instigation, they were the most tender-hearted, unable to bear the sins of the vongola after giotto

I don't know why I thought of this, but please, if Secando wanted the vongola and took advantage of the fact that Damon betrayed Giotto and joined his side, why would he leave her directly to his son while he was still young?

I mean, in the episode where they appeared, they looked like they were at the age when they passed the succession to the next person
