BACKGROUND:

☾  Lucia was born to a teenaged mother who gave her up for adoption. She was given to the  Oliviers, a french family with old money. She grew up believing that she was biologically theirs. Luce was given all of the finer things in life and she never lost that hunger for the nicest things.

☾  As Lucia grew up, she was always in the popular crowds. She always had the highest grades and the teachers loved her. But she had always felt that something was missing. She didn’t feel the same way that the other girls did about their families, friends, crushes. She didn’t feel anything the right way. She knew that there was something wrong with her and it took her a long time to come to terms with it.

☾  One day, Lucia humiliated a girl at school. The girl found out where she lived and broke in that night, stealing what she could before Lucia woke up and caught her. The intruder tried to fight Luce and during the struggle, Lucia pushed the other girl over the balcony of the foyer and she snapped her neck. When Lucia’s parents woke up, they were stunned to find a body in their foyer and their daughter calmly sitting beside the body. They asked her what happened and Luce simply said that she ‘took care’ of the intruder. Her parents then told her she was adopted and asked her to leave, frightened of her lack of empathy.

☾  The girl stayed on the streets for a year before a gang took her in and taught her the ways of the underworld. She learnt how to fight and discovered that fighting made her feel better than anything else had. She quickly got into street fighting and would often bet on herself to win for profits.
