[ Ignore my dumb face, but my roommatesâ sister bought me a lifesized Hux for a late birthday gift and Iâm DYING. ]
Mitaka: itâs weird how general hux is good at everything. thereâs got to be something heâs bad at
Phasma: maybe heâs a bad kisser or something?
Kylo: *walking past* no, heâs good at that
Mitaka: what?
Phasma: what?
Kylo: what?
one of the most frustrating moods is Desperate Need to Create Something, Anything + persistent lack of motivation/attention/ability/time/inspiration/energy to do soÂ
[ I promise Iâll answer the Munday asks tomorrow! Today has been weird and has ended with a bit of an unsettled stomach so I donât really have the brainpower to do much. I hope everyone is doing well. <3 ]

Anxious Munday Meme!
Anxiety sucks, itâs real and itâs one hell of an obstacle. We arenât all super confident people on the other side of the screen. Hereâs some questions for the more nervous Muns out there!
How hard is it for you to approach new people you want to interact with?
Whatâs something you do to try to get to know otherâs?
Should people think youâre intimidating/scary?
Whatâs a good way to start talking to you if people are scared to?
Whatâs a tip you would give to people trying to get to know you?
Do you dive into conversation easily?
How would you rate your conversation skills?
Do you feel awkward/nervous/etc trying to get to know people?
What is something you want people to know right away about yourself?
What are some things you worry about in terms of new people?
Stranger making small talk, yay or nay for you?
Introvert? Extrovert? Ambivert?
Do you focus more on talking role play first or talking casually about anything first?
Does knowing the other mun make writing threads easier or harder?
Do random messages out of the blue upset you at all?
Do random asks out of the blue upset you at all?
Do random memes out of the blue upset you?
Should people be nervous to send you things at all?
Is communication important to you?
How open are you to talking out problems and getting them resolved?
How scared are you of people, compared to how scared they should be of you?
Whatâs a way someone could ease the anxiety of unfamiliar conversation?
How much anxious internal screaming goes on with you on a regular basis?
How would friends describe you for the lovely people trying to get to know you? (Friends may send an answer to this question with the ask)
Ask anything youâve wanted to know! Literally anything this is an invitation for knowledge.
Anonymous or not spam the inbox with questions you have about the mun.

My General getting some shut eye đ´ đ
I heard what happened to you tonight from Mr. Blanky. Iâm sorry for all of it. He told me your language is called âInuktitutâ. And this region here is called âNunavutâ. âInuktitutâ and âNunavutâ. I like those words very much. Iâd like to learn more.
Des Voeux is not a very relatable character, except for this scene lol.
[ Think Iâm gonna maybe look for some screencaps from The Terror and work on some icons...and maybe flesh out a sailor!Mitaka AU... ]
[ I actually got a few drafts done tonight. Iâve got some more lined up and will try to get a couple of posts out tomorrow too. Hope youâre all doing well. <3 ]
General Organaâs voice sliced through the chatter that had filled the space between  the captives and the Resistance fighters, and the silence was almost deafening in the wake of it. Many of the First Order officers bowed their heads as she spoke; even tired as she sounded, there was a certain authority to her voice, and it was something that Mitaka found that he could respect. Opposite sides as they might be, the kindness that she was offering was one that he knew could have been just as easily denied to them, and he was thankful for it.
And, for that kindness, he would uphold his end of the bargain. As they were left in the wake of the generalâs presence, he turned his attention back to the woman who had been addressing him, and he nodded; her promises seemed like honest ones, at the very least. âI would appreciate it if youâd stay out of my head,â he replied evenly. It had been an unpleasant sensation, feeling someone trying to rifle around in his thoughts, and it wasnât the first time heâd experienced it either. âAnd if you will keep that promise, I will keep mine.â
Turning to his men for the time being - all of them with lower ranks, and all of them looking to him for guidance - he hoped that his demands had brought them some comfort at least. Being in enemy territory was unsettling, but at least they would be fed, and kept safe, until they could go to trial, or until some kind of accord could be reached. âGo, have a meal and rest. Youâve all had a very trying day. Iâll be with you as soon as I can.â A number of them murmured a quiet, âyes, sir,â something he wasnât sure heâd ever be able to get used to, as they were escorted off by the Resistance soldiers. And then, he turned his attention back to the girl.
âI would be glad to help teach you, and just as glad to learn from you as well,â he admitted, now that he was no longer under the watchful eye of the men who were depending on him to lead them. They wouldnât understand his curiosity. âWhile we are thoroughly briefed in practices that your people keep, it would be interesting to hear it first-hand and not through holofilms and archives.â Holding out his hand for her to shake, he somehow managed to remain pleasant and kind, despite technically being held captive by her people. âIâve offered you my name and rank but havenât had yours. And we can hardly have a conversation if weâre not properly acquainted.â

Whatever excuses he has, whatever explanation there is for why theyâre on a stolen freighter, with navigation set for the far ends of the galaxy, it all dies in Mitakaâs throat before the words can force themselves out. All it takes is a brief moment where their eyes meet and he can see it in Huxâs gaze - the rush of realization, and all of the horrid, soul-crushing knowledge that comes with it. Itâs something Mitaka canât even fathom. His own emotions are being crushed down beneath practicality at the moment, and even then, for how heâs given his life to the First Order, itâs still nothing compared to Huxâs loss, something so insurmountable that he realizes that saving his life could very well be considered very, very far from kindness.
It wasnât something heâd considered before. At the moment that Hux had hit the floor, all that heâd been able to think about was saving his life. Nothing else had mattered then. Now, it seemed, in his panic, heâd forgotten about everything else that did, and still would, matter. Swallowing hard, he finds himself rooted to the ground, head swimming with thoughts and uncertainties and something akin to regret but only because, to hear his General curse out loud has his ears ringing. Itâs a taste of obscenity where there was always such a carefully-built and elegantly-spoken exterior before. He hates to know that heâs part of the cause of that shift.
It takes a moment before he can force himself to move, and his heart is in his throat as he approaches, carefully distancing himself just enough by pausing on the far side of the door frame, away from where Hux is sat on the floor. âIâm so sorry, sir,â he breathes, genuine, whole-hearted, and knows instantly that no apology will ever make up for what heâs done. A quick death might have been more merciful. âPryde...he should have given you a fair trial. The injustice of it...the utter lack of order in his actions, and...â He has to swallow again, the words are pouring out of his mouth and theyâre so far out of bounds from how heâs usually allowed to speak to Hux but he canât stop them. âAnd I hated to think of the galaxy losing one of its most driven and brilliant men to an absolute madman like him. I know I shouldnât have--I know this was a poor choice but--â
Finally, the words catch in his throat and he has to clear it, shaking his head as if to dislodge that train of thought, because they canât both lose themselves to despair. âPlease, sir, let me help you back to the bed, or at least to the cockpit. Youâll tear your stitches and we must preserve our supplies...â
@ltxmitaka said:Â âThey think youâre lying.â
Ave had given up on fighting the confines hours ago. At this point, she was just exhausted from the interrogations and from her own emotions running haywire. She sighed at his words and turned her head to look away. It was only fair, she figured. After all, she was a Resistance pilot.Â
âIâm not lying.â She wasnât sure what else she could say at this point. âIâm telling the truth. I quit. I ran away. Iâm not going back.â This must have been the hundredth time Ave had stated this. âWhat else do you want from me?â Tired eyes searched for his. Maybe this one could understand her⌠But she couldnât tell the entire truth and keep her composure. The Resistance had lied about how her parents died. They then used their death as leverage to raise Ave to become a puppet for their war. All she wanted now were answers and a new pathâ She hoped that the First Order could provide both of those things.
A number of other officers - most much higher ranking than him - had been called to the interrogation room throughout the day. Whispers had been flooding the halls and the command centers of the Finalizer since the girl had been brought on board. They say sheâs defecting, one of his fellow lieutenants had whispered in the mess hall. And another, thatâs nonsense, she must be a spy, and a poor one at that. No one knew what to make of the situation. And so, when Mitaka received orders to report to the interrogation room later that day, he hardly needed the briefing he was provided.
She looked...young. Younger than he was, at the very least. And she looked tired, though that made sense to him - he knew of the techniques that some more seasoned officers might employ. Her frustration when she answered him was palpable, and, strangely enough, it was that very emotion that caught his attention. She wasnât being argumentative, or pleading, or really displaying anything that might have reaffirmed everyoneâs suspicions that she was lying to them.
âYou have to understand,â he continued, coming to stand before her with his hands neatly clasped behind his back. âThat we have never encountered a member of the Resistance defecting before. Most are very set in their stubborn ways. We have little to compel us to believe that youâre telling the truth.â Sighing, he glanced back over his shoulder, to the door that had shut behind him when the last interrogator had been relieved, then back to her again. âYou must give me reason to believe that your motivations for being here are truthful. We have our own opinions of the Resistance. I need to know why youâve chosen to leave them behind. And then Iâll have them fetch you some water, if youâd like, and something to eat.â
