He left out a very important part of what else happened to him in HYDRA because he might need that information to get him out of there later. Ā āThey keep me around; they keep her in line and itās something to rub in mumās face later.āĀ

Jemma snapped.Ā Had they known that he wasn't completely loyal
to HYDRA, Bobbi might have goneĀ easier on him, she wouldn't have
had to watch his interrogations, they might haveĀ considered letting
him go. These were all lies, she knew that, but it felt better to think
that he could have stopped this.
