FETCH.

   Young Faunus pipes up, peeking through the threshold of the small kitchenette, and instantly does he take in the aroma; the familiar scent of boiling cabbage and carrots, along with the various spices they were able to get hands upon that week. 

   Mother takes note, peeking over shoulder as her offspring wanders closer, and a softened smile is quickly on display to share. Fingers clutched about a spoon wooden gingerly place it upon the old countertop, freeing hands as they smooth down her attire, and she beckons Marrow closer to get the wanting look to the boiling pot that she knew was so desired.

   “Do you have something for me, little wolf?”

   “--...Did you hit your head a little too hard?”

   Marrow actually frets, if only for a moment when peering into wolf’s eyes, determining whether focus was off-kilter and the Arc found himself suffering a concussion. 

   “Because I’M going to be blamed for it if you did.”

Perfectly Platonic - Accepting

   “That’s an understatement--                           I could use six coffees.”

   Marrow nearly whines when dropping weight onto the unfolded metal chair, back curved and stretched as a series of pops travel his spine and breath escapes in satisfaction. Mornings were never easy--and no matter how many times Clover told him he’d become used to it, never did he find those words to ring true. Sore, exhausted, and lacking his daily caffeine, head lulls toward shoulder as ultimate weapon is utilized.

   The puppy dog eyes.

“If you think I want something from you, then you don’t know me.” Robyn shook her head. “It just… I get the feeling it’s harder for you than the others.” She confessed. “But I want you to know you are doing a great job.” She looked down for a moment. “…Besides. We have to back each other up when we climb up the ladder don’t you know?” She slowly moved her cloak to reveal something she always kept hidden. A lithe fox tail. 

   Before another jab can even slip from canine’s mouth he finds himself STARING--eyes flickering down as tail once obscured is allowed to be seen. What a rare moment that Marrow was left speechless, only able to gawk as the gears in his mind grind to a sudden halt. Lips part, close, and part once again as teal eyes lock upon trait of fox, and ever slow does voice spill with accusatory pitch.

   “You’re--...a Faunus?                 And you hide it? While trying to become a COUNSEL woman? Don’t you--”

   Head shakes, and forced is he to pull attention away; blinking thrice over before a glower settles upon Robyn in disbelief.

Ren blinks in surprise at the question. “I…guess so? There are others on my team who are stronger than I am, and Blake is pretty quiet as well…” He honestly isn’t sure how to respond, if it’s meant to be a simple observation, a means of starting a conversation or an insult of some kind. It doesn’t feel like an insult, so he’ll rule that one out. Especially when it’s accompanied by the curious sound he hears and the light in his eyes.

If Ren has to guess, Marrow is joking with him. So he smiles. “I did notice that Vine is very similar to me, as it turns out. Or, I suppose I would be similar to him. But I don’t really talk much unless I have something to say-even though I think I am getting better at it.”

   “--Eh. You could be BETTER though. Gotta speak up, kid, interject yourself while we’re dishing out missions, and don’t ever--and I mean ever--do a mission with Vine. I can’t even imagine how uncomfortably quiet you two would be. It’s like a nightmare.”

   While Marrow was, truthfully, trying his hand at a bout of advice it was not the most well-thought out nor gentlest way to put it. It doesn’t seem canine is quite ready to silence himself either, and with a step forward, hand reaches out to clasp upon Ren’s shoulder and peer into eyes of rose.
