snuggles with soft tummy
There’s something ridiculously comforting about a soft tummy. Not in a “fitness goals” way, not in a polished Instagram way — I mean the kind of tummy that feels warm when you lay your head on it after a long day. The kind you absentmindedly trace circles on while watching bad reality TV together at 1 a.m.
Lately I’ve realized I especially melt for that cozy little tummy softness. Maybe it’s because confidence looks different on everyone, and there’s something really beautiful about a body that’s lived through change and still chooses tenderness. A tummy made for hoodies, for sleepy cuddles, for pulling someone closer instead of pushing them away.
I think queer love gets overcomplicated online sometimes. Everyone acts like attraction has to sound intellectual or hyper-specific. Meanwhile I’m over here like: please let me nap on your chest while my hand rests on your tummy and we both complain about work.
That’s it. That’s the dream.
Hello world
There’s something strange about being a shy person in a loud world.
People often mistake silence for coldness, distance, or a lack of confidence. But for me, silence has never meant emptiness. It’s where my thoughts live. It’s where I observe everything most people miss — the nervous laugh before someone tells the truth, the comfort in quiet company, the way certain people light up an entire room without even trying.
Being shy means I spend more time listening than speaking. I replay conversations in my head long after they happen. I overthink simple introductions and sometimes hesitate when I want to say the most meaningful things. Crowded rooms drain me, but deep conversations stay with me forever.
Growing up, I used to think being shy was something I needed to “fix.” Society celebrates the loudest voices, the boldest personalities, the people who can walk into any room and instantly belong. I admired those people because I thought confidence had to look big and obvious.
But over time, I’ve started realizing that quietness has its own strength.
Shy people feel deeply. We notice details. We value genuine connection over attention. We may not always speak first, but when we do, we mean what we say. There’s courage in showing up even when your instinct is to stay hidden. There’s bravery in learning to be seen while still staying true to yourself.
I still get nervous. I still avoid being the center of attention. I still need time to open up. But I’m no longer ashamed of the quieter parts of who I am.
Being shy isn’t weakness.
It’s simply the way I move through the world — carefully, thoughtfully, and honestly.
