(The recipe to chaos would be: the kids can transform at any moment. Of course, it would have a timer, so they can’t stay long periods of time in that form, even if they wanted to.

This happens because their bodies can’t handle the transformation for long periods. They also get a terrible exhaustion after it too— but that doesn’t stop any of them to mess around with their powers. Well, Takuya at least. This is mostly for Takuya though, because like, i like to think that Zoey transforms as much as him, but to train— after the lost of her first battle and some self-loathing, she locked in.

Zoey and Takuya were the ones that change forms the most! Takuya because he loves the feeling, and Zoey to keep up with the team’s pace. Meanwhile, JP doesn’t transform as much as them because of what happened in the factory… here, in this AU, he ended up hurt them after using his power without holding back, and now, he’s not as excited of being a hero as before. Now, with Tommy, he doesn’t want to fight at all! He freezes in place or transform right back to his original form! He gets really sick with those transformations).

(So, Agunimon has to deal with a kid that can’t stop making impulsive decisions, Kazemon with an student that has problems to catch up with the others, Beetlemon dealing with a vicious cycle of “i want to react, but every-time i do something, someone gets hurt, but if I don’t do something, someone will get hurt!”, and Kumamon with a kid that doesn’t even want to fight… great.)
