Pairing: Carlisle x Esme Cullen
Synopsis: Esme makes a surprise visit to the hospital when she misses Carlisle. After seeing him in his white doctor's coat, Esme's desire heightens. Carlisle decides to surprise her by wearing it home after work. It ignites a passion-fueled encounter in his home office.
Carlisle wandered down the hallway at Forks Hospital, donning a long white coat, clipboard in hand. His eyes rose when he caught the familiar scent of his wife’s scent. Carlisle's first thought was that something was wrong.
Esme spotted him at the end of the hallway. Had her heart still been beating it would have picked up. It wasn't often she visited her husband at work; in fact, it had been years since Esme had set foot in the hospital.
Her eyes drank him in, completely in his element. In that moment, alone, she quietly envied the coworkers who got to see him in this state every day. The cuffs of his sleeves curled up around the arms of his white coat by his wrists. A stethoscope hung loosely around his neck. In the corridor lights, the fluorescence highlighted his perfectly styled blond hair that crept just slightly over his ears.
Esme shivered, reliving the first time she had ever seen him. His cold hands tenderly bandaged her wounded leg, their eyes locked with his warm smile and she had fallen in love right then and there.
Somehow, one glimpse of Carlisle is his white doctor’s coat and Esme fell into the role she desired most, that of his hopelessly enamored wife.
Carlisle’s eyes locked with hers across the hall, and she could see he was concerned from her abrupt entrance into the hospital.
Esme flashed a small smile, immediately easing his mind, as she held up a brown paper bag.
Carlisle's eyebrows pressed together in confusion. He tucked the clipboard under one arm and paced the hallway to meet her halfway.
“What's this?” He asked, smiling down at her from inches away.
“You forgot your lunch, Dr. Cullen,” Esme told him.
Confusion plagued him even more, as they didn't eat. But when he saw the look in her eyes, her reasons were unmistakable.
“Oh, did I?” He played along. “How forgetful for me.”
With no one in the hallway, and in a rare moment of PDA, Carlisle touched his lips to hers once.
“I've been working too much,” he concluded.
Esme shook her head, never willing him away from his career. “I just missed you today after the double shift,” she confessed. “And seeing you in your white coat always brings me back to the first time I saw you.”
“I've been wearing this coat for decades.”
“And I rarely get to see you in it.”
He laughed out loud, having the urge to wrap his arms around her; but he refrained given their surroundings.
“Quite the hardship,” he teased, taking her hand in his, the only physical contact he could initiate while at his place of employment.
When their eyes lingered, Esme reluctantly separated herself from him.
“Well, I won't keep you from your lunch,” she teased playfully.
Carlisle held up the bag. “I'll be off in a few hours.”
“I'll pretend I wasn't watching in the window, waiting for your car.”
“I love you,” he said, holding her gaze.
Esme turned to go and Carlisle watched her hips sway as she crossed back through the automatic doors that led into the main lobby.
He opened the bag out of curiosity, finding a note written in red Sharpie.
Don't work too hard, Doctor.
A heart with the letter ‘E’ accompanied it.
Carlisle smiled to himself before making his way back to his office.
Darkness began to creep in over Forks in the early October evening. Inside the Cullen house, a few low lights cast warm glows over the atmosphere and Esme had lit candles smelling of maple and pumpkin to cozy the house with the switchover to autumn.
When a faint touch of tides crushing gravel filled her ears, Esme smiled to herself. A part of her contemplated pretending to keep busy, but rather she kept her intentions true.
Esme heard his footsteps near the front door and she greeted him by opening it before he could.
“I told you I'd be waiting,” she said bluntly with a warm smile.
“I would never doubt you.” Carlisle put a hand on her face and left a long, closed mouth kiss on her lips. “I've been waiting all day to do that.”
“You remained quite professional,” Esme noted, pecking his lips again as he closed the door.
Carlisle raised the note she had penned to him and they shared a laugh.
“I took your advice,” he confessed, eyes scanning the home’s interior. “Where is everyone?”
“Alice ushered them all down to the Forks football game,” Esme informed him. “Friday night.”
“She must've known you had white-coat syndrome,” Carlisle said, prompting another laugh from Esme.
He chuckled and removed his dark jacket, hanging it casually on the coat rack beside the door.
Esme’s eyes drank him in and she would have blushed if she was still able to. Her hand moved to cover her semi-embarrassed smile.
Carlisle adjusted the collar of his doctor’s coat that he had purposely worn home after Esme spoke of her desire to see him wearing it more often.
When her eyes lifted to meet his, she couldn't help but close the distance between them. Her hand drifted up to the front pocket on his chest, smoothing it over before further adjusting his collar.
“I tried to come prepared,” he said quietly, a small smirk lifting the corner of his mouth.
“So, how many minutes do I get with Dr. Cullen?”
“Well, that all depends on what time the football game ends.” Carlisle's lips found hers and he deepened their abbreviated kiss from a moment ago, sliding a hand to the curve of her jawline.
Esme's arms slid around his waist, beneath the coat, only loosening her grip when Carlisle’s phone buzzed in his pants pocket.
When he didn't reach to answer it, she motioned for him to.
Carlisle made a face, reaching into his pocket to read a text message and laughed. He turned the screen to show Esme. It was Alice.
We're going to an after party when the game is over. Have fun!
Esme laughed out loud and Carlisle tossed his phone onto one of the couch cushions in the living room. He pulled her back to him with the force of a thousand men and kissed her more urgently.
She snaked her arms around his neck, gripping the fabric of his jacket.
Carlisle scooped her up so she sat in his hands, carrying her up the stairs. His intent was to take her to the bedroom but he changed his mind at the last minute and sat her on the desk in his office, not bothering to close the door.
“Had I known we would have the house to ourselves I would've brought home a few more things.” He dipped his mouth to touch her neck, purposely beginning at the scar he had left on her neck that bound them for all of eternity.
Esme moaned into his ear, gripping the back of his neck.
“Carlisle..” she whispered his name, legs parting out of instinct as he settled between them.
He nibbled her earlobe. “Dr. Cullen,” Carlisle corrected her, making Esme smile at first before biting down on her bottom lip.
She felt his erection press against her inner thigh through the fabric of his pants. When she went to reach for his belt, he gently caught her by the wrist.
Esme's eyes flickered open as Carlisle used his opposite hand to wave two fingers in front of her face.
“We’re not there yet, Mrs. Cullen.” He lifted her knee-length skirt, rolling the fabric up with careful precise movements until her laced panties were exposed.
With one swift pull of his hands, Carlisle yanked her to the edge of the desk.
“I'm going to need your input.” He began to swipe her underwear to the side, using his first two fingers before slowly pushing them inside of her.
Esme’s lips parted and she whimpered when he had entered her down to his last knuckles.
Carlisle brought his lips back to her ear and whispered. “I'm going to need you to part your legs further if I’m going to do this correctly.”
She held him harder around the back of his shoulders, keeping his body close and did as he instructed while Carlisle began to circle his fingers inside of her.
“Let it out,” he whispered against her again, kissing gently down her neck before letting his teeth graze her collarbone.
Esme tried not to turn into a writhing mess under her husband’s touch. Her legs locked around the backs of his as he kept up with the relentless torture with his fingers.
Every sigh and moan urged him on as Esme clung to him for dear life. His thumb created friction above where he penetrated her, leaving her unable to control the way he was making her feel.
Esme whimpered his name again, though this time Carlisle didn't correct her.
“That's a bit unprofessional,” he teased, pulling back to drink in her expression, never stopping the ever-increasing pace of his fingers inside of her.
“I want you,” she choked out, her eyes barely managing to flicker open to see the only man who could give her such pleasure.
“You'll have me, Mrs. Cullen,” he taunted, kissing her lips chastely despite the onslaught he was imposing on her lower half. “But first I want you.. to come undone for me.”
The pressure was building by the second. Carlisle didn't let up as he recognized the signs of his wife's impending orgasm.
Her abdomen rose and fell in rapid succession, her breaths became uncontrollable as he touched her face with his free hand, tender and loving, not matching the wicked smirk on his face.
When he brought his lips back to hers, penetrating her lips with tongue, it was the final sensation to bring Esme over the edge.
She moaned into his mouth, pushing her hips up to meet the force of his hand as he kissed her hard.
His fingers aggressively inside of her. His tongue gently massaging her own. The contrast left her head spinning and her body writhing on the edge of his desk.
Esme cried out again as he took her to completion, choking out his name as she pushed against his knuckles a final time to assure she had stolen every ounce of pleasure from the moment.
And then her grip loosened on his shoulders. Her body relaxed. She took a long, deep breath and stared up at her husband, the loving doctor.
A triumphant, hungry smile decorated his face, and Esme accepted a lazy kiss he left against her lips. She kept him there against her, still coming off the high of the moment.
Carlisle chuckled against her lips, pleased with himself. “Are you alright?”
“You're the doctor,” she sighed, smiling with content satisfaction. “You tell me.”
Their eyes met for a fleeting second before she kissed him. Her fingers traced the buckle of his belt, not ready for their intimacy to end. Carlisle didn't stop her this time.
“Dr. Cullen,” she said, resting a hand on his face. “I'm going going to give you a five star review.”
