Mind control that doesn't go away. Sure, they're out of Whumper's hands, but for whatever reason, the control doesn't lessen entirely.
It's not noticeable at first, but something is undeniably happening.

For the one word prompt- virginity - with KrisJars?
Hmmmmm. I think what I would write is roleplay? Kris and Tristan are talking about something, maybe their sexual histories or first times and somehow get to the topic of Tristan's first all star game. Kris teases Tristan about his giant crush. Kris saw him as a cute but inexperienced kid and wasn't interested but everyone could see the crush. Kris teases him about how young he was and if he wanted the big bad older man to take his virginity, and how dirty Tristan must have felt wanting that while knowing Kris's kid was in the next room. One thing leads to another and they end up roleplaying it. Kris surprising Tristan during a road trip where they're staying the night in St Louis would be very delicious. It's not accurate to the asg, but that isn't the point since its a fantasy. What's hot is Tristan pretending to be 24 years old again and being seduced by his older teammate who he's got an embarrassing crush on. Kris saying all the right things to turn Tristan on until he comes embarrassingly fast and then fucking him through the overstimm because "young studs like you can come twice right?"

So I was gonna try writing fic and I could see the perfect opening line and then I just kept getting intimidated by the empty word document and the fact that I couldn't see past the opening line and now it's been too long and I can't quite go back to that idea but here's 200 words around what that would have been.
My original idea was Tristan knocking on Kris's door during the olympic break, hoping that Kris would let him in; hoping that he would be happy to see him; hoping that he hadn't changed the locks etc etc. Kris is be a grumpy curmudgeon with his fractured foot and boot and the fact that he can't play hockey. Tristan just wants to spend a week together if Kris will let him stay. That's why he flew down. To spend bye week with his injured boyfriend. I'm not sure where they are in their relationship, how the trade and the long distance effected them. Idk if they were serious and they don't know if its still serious now that they aren't in the same city, if they were casual but caught feelings, if they maybe had a fight during the pens game in edm that Tristan is hoping to smooth over. All stuff I probably need to figure out if I'm going to do a quiet evening in a snow covered house, Tristan on Kris's doorstep hoping to see his boyfriend and spend the week nursing him back to health because Kris can't make the trip to the farm in Edmonton.
Real thing that changed how i write: I started asking "what does this character think is wrong with them" and separately "what is actually wrong with them." Those two things are almost never the same. She thinks she's too much. She's actually terrified of being too little. He thinks he's bad at commitment. He's actually just never met someone he trusted enough. The gap between their diagnosis of themselves and the real thing, that's your character arc right there. you don't have to explain it. just write both.
