Unless you’ve quite literally buried your head in the sand and/or the lunchtime buffet today, you’ll probably be well aware of all the commotion that erupted on Twitter last night, involving Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift and this year’s MTV VMA nominations.
We’re still recovering from it all, to be honest, which is a shame because Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars have ignited their own (fake) Twitter beef and GAH.

But, if you haven’t got time for that (ain’t nobody got time for that), we guess a quick summary would be: Nicki is p*ssed that her ‘Anaconda’ video isn’t nomination for Video of the Year at the VMAs, using the snub as an opportunity to discuss racism and body-shaming in the industry.
Unfortunately, Taylor thought the tweets were aimed at her, leading HER to respond.
Nicki THEN clarified that nothing was aimed at her, Swifty tried to gloss over it all by saying the ‘Superbass’ singer can join her on stage if she wins VOTY and fans went nuts.
Oh, and Kim Kardashian accidentally kinda got herself involved. Which is pretty hilarious.
HOWEVER, it hasn’t *quite* all ended there, with Ed and Bruno deciding to get their own slice of the action by start their own VMAs-based WWF match on Twitter.
Yes, the beef was about as real as the steak we had in our childhood play oven, but it was funny, alright? Alright.
Bruno, 29, kicked things off by tweeting our fave ginger-haired singer, saying: “Yo I want in on this twitter Beef!! VMAs is the new WWF!! @edsheeran F**k You!”
Eddy, 24, wasn’t taking his s**t lying down, replying with this line of applause-worthy smack talk: “any way we do dis you gon’ come up short.”
Back in the blue corner, Bruno had a killer pun lined up to throw back in Ed’s face, tweeting: “That Cut deep..U always know how to sheer me to the core. I can’t believe we’re Sheeran this in public. How dare u!”
If this was an American sketch show, the crowd would DEFINITELY be doing a collective ‘Oooo’ right now. Also a polite clap for those puns.
BUT, back in the red corner, Eddy Eddy Eddy (OI OI OI) was geared up to deliver his own soccerpunch, replying: “but all my crew know that Bruno has eyebrows dat be uno. And plays Cluedo with SuBo, but you lose coz you blow.”
So much applause for getting Cluedo and SuBo (and uno) in the same sentence.
