Rebekah was furious. Her boyfriend left her for some dumb new girl who had probably never even had sex before. But Rebekah wasn’t the kind of person to just give up. She was going to get her revenge in the most sadistic way she possibly good. She was going to ruin this girl until no one would go near her. She’d already spoken to Hayley’s mother and organised a meeting at her penthouse to discuss becoming a mentor for her through this transition period. This was going to be too easy.

Rebekah was very unimpressed with her brother. He’d daggered her because he was insecure and all he ever did was call her insecure. Now she was stuck in some stupid small town with Stefan who didn’t love her anymore, and the trollop who had stolen him. Worst of all, that same girl had stolen her necklace. She was stuck listening to her brother obsess about hybrids and it had her in a foul mood. She was around their new home moping when Klaus walked in, looking smug as always. “Who have you terrorised today, brother?”

“really? he remarked in disbelief, shaking his head. “cause from where i’m sitting, you and your siblings bent to every little whim your brother had, because when you didn’t…” jeremy made a gesture with his hand, imitating the motion of a dagger. she could easily snap him in two, considering how bold he was acting, but the boy just shrugged. “now, don’t get me wrong, i think it’s good you shed the 180 pounds of controlling prick. it looks good on you. you and the rest of the world are better off.”

Rebekah couldn’t help but wince as he motioned a dagger going into his chest. She remembered that feeling all too well. But that didn’t mean that the discount Gilbert could go around spouting hate about her brother. “You should know better than to anger an original vampire, baby Gilbert.” She took another sip of her drink and decided the fight wasn’t worth having. “If you expect me to say thank you, dream on.”

“Rebekah, you look lovely as usual.“ Smug smile shows on the vampire’s lips as he approaches the blonde original. Hand reaches out for her own and much like when they first met, Lucien shows his manners by rising her hand and planting a kiss upon her knuckles. “It has been, what? 1000 years since we last saw each other? You don’t look a day past 500, love.”

Rebekah had always liked Lucien the most of their three original sires. He had been kind to her, and she wouldn’t pretend that he wasn’t incredibly handsome. She extends her hand out to him as he kissed it politely. It wasn’t often that anyone had any manners now. Seeing him again after all this time, some old feelings stirred, that she quickly pushed down. “Always the charmer, Lucien. It has been some time, although I missed a lot of it being in a box so I can’t quite appreciate the length of time.”

“They probably did. When you came into town… I had a few dozen problems I was trying to work out on my own. I didn’t like much of anyone, just because I didn’t like myself very much,” Jeremy said simply, giving a small shake of his head as he pressed his lips together, watching the blonde carefully. He debated about what he wanted to open up about- and after a very long moment, he finally spoke. “After our parents died, I found out Elena was adopted. And… My entire life just seemed worse. Because- it’s stupid to sound jealous about, but she’d always been the golden child. And she wasn’t even theirs. I was their biological kid, but I was… Also their greatest disappointment.”

The first thing she was aware of was the sound of a steady heartbeat next to her, but it was louder than normal. Almost like a drum beat. Speaking of drums, she heard jazz music coming from the street, but it was louder than normal. Window must be open, she thought sluggishly. Hope’s fingers twitched as she woke up more, bit by bit. She was in her bed, she knew that much. . But why? Hadn’t she been out of the house? And why did everything feel so off? Hope finally managed to open her eyes and turned her head slowly toward the sound of the heartbeat.

“‘Bekah?”

“Hope.” Rebekah was so happy to see her wake up. Even though she knew that she was a hybrid and would come back as a vampire, a small part of her was terrified that her niece would just stay dead. “I know everything is going to feel a bit wrong right now, but I need you to relax. Everything will be okay.” She took Hope’s hand and squeezed it, trying to reassure the girl.

            “You can understand my apprehension at seeing you. We usually see each other when people are dying, and I’m hoping this isn’t one of those situations.”

“It isn’t. Funnily enough this just happens to be a coincidence. It seems with the whole world, us supernaturals always end up in the same place.”

rebekah would have done anything to save her father, and it just so happened that’s what she did. she gave up her freedom so her father wouldn’t have to stay locked up like an animal. she hated this man, this monster that would keep her here just because of some petty theft. she’d locked herself up in her new room, unable to stop crying. she felt so alone.

Hope becoming a vampire as a teenager or adult. Her actually dying and coming back in transition.

rebekah was a wreck. she couldn’t believe that this had happened. her precious niece was now forced to live an eternal life just like the rest of them. she’d deserved better, a normal life where she could grow old with someone. there was nothing that they could do now, and all she could do was try and help the teenager through it. she sat beside hope as she laid out, dead. she had blood bags warmed up and ready, not wanting her to go through the stress of feeding straight away.
