jacaerys waved to the crowd cheering his name, smiling brightly from behind his sunglasses. he took off his headphones, turning back behind the dj booth.

"did you like it?" jace asked, taking alya's hand and kissing it.

"not my taste!" alya shouted back, and just as his face fell, she laughed aloud. "I'm kidding!" she chimed. "You were good. thought and cerenna thought so too... they told me before they left."

jacaerys, however, wasn't giving them much thought. they're probably off fucking in the washroom or on the boat that brought them here.

"should we leave too?" jace asks, ushering alya out of the dj booth and backstage. "there's a kebab shop near here, and the boat's still docked." alya shook her head, her smile wry.

"I can't believe you people call that thing a boat. it's a monstrosity, that's what it is."

"it's my grandfather's," jace smirked back. "the sea snake, I think it's called."

jacaerys targaryen was born into a family where passion always came second to duty. his mother married for prestige and his grandfather did too— twice, at that. nothing in his life was left untouched by expectation, but when the opportunity came to spend a summer on the continent, playing at the best clubs from mallorca to saint tropez, he took it. a summer without restriction, without fear of scandal and damage to his mother's image... not to mention three months spent with his girlfriend alya. when his best friend robb and his girlfriend cerenna asked to come with, he didn't hesitate before inviting him along.

spending his days lounging at beach clubs and his evenings in the dj booth, jace plans to live it up for as long as he can.

yes guys... jace is a dj. was this my idea? YES! did @lovesonglilies get sick at the mere thought? well... is that not an oomf's purpose?

alya had to get to europe somehow, and this was how! I liked the idea of him handling the constant expectation of being the eldest son similarly to robb... they are besties after all!

alya's hair seemed almost auburn in this light, jacaerys thought. gods, she looked lovely, even when she's just sunning herself. jace acted on instinct and reached down toying with a lustrous curl as she lounged. alya smiled, letting jace slide beside her, sighing sweetly when he pressed a kiss to her shoulder blade.

"this bikini is new," jace said casually, and alya tilted her head.

"everything on me is new," she chimed.

"well, you've not got much on, love."

jacaerys laughed, and he swore at that very moment he could hear daena gagging from across the boat.

when alya's boyfriend jace invited her to summer with him, she just assumed that meant three months of wasting away in the cotswalds. little did she know jacaerys, his sister daena, and their friends robb and cerenna have planned a season's worth of lounging, clubbing, and general debauchery that'll take her through every sun-soaked beach, every glitzy nightclub, and every great white yacht they happen to land on. will alya fall prey to the ways of the idle rich, or will she keep her head on her shoulders? it's hard to see the downside of unlimited bottle service and private planes, after all.
