okay so faking a “gothic castle” noise generator is doable with like 3 different generators and soundscapes going

you’ve got Church (Beatae Memoriae) playing on mynoise.net with the

thunder steps whisper whisper (second one) rain

turned on. (sometimes the organ is nice, very low, like it’s being played in a separate room.)

then on noisili turn on the wind and fire 

then this campfire sounds with wolves and coyotes howling is great layered underneath all of that. the extra wind and campfire sounds from this one seem to make it more layered/dimensional. and yeah there are coyotes in there which aren’t v gothic but there are wolves and this is the only good one i found with wolves–there were echoes put on the other wolf ones and none of them seemed to be the right… distance, i guess. keep this one pretty low so the wolves sound like they’re actually outside and really far away.
