Shervin Hajipour is an Iranian singer known for his song Baraye, which has been described as "the anthem" of the 2022 Mahsa Amini protests. He was arrested shortly after publishing the song.

Declaration Sculpture

This calligraphy sculpt work was done by Mr. eL Seed, a renowned calligrapher and street artist. He took two years to complete this particular work. The spiralling electric pink text is a line from a poem by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which says, ‘Art in all its colours and types reflects the culture of the nations, their history and civilization.’

Mr. eL Seed describes the work as, ‘a declaration of love to the city that I call home,’ and to Arab calligraphy.

LJS 398 Khalq al-insān, written in Mamluk Syria or Iraq, dated 15 Jumādá II A.H. 689

Medical treatise in 50 chapters, 35 concerning reproduction and the final 15 addressing the soul and intellect from a neoplatonic perspective. Some marginal notes. Persian inscriptions recording births in A.H. 1236, 1243, and 1245 on the last page, suggesting use of the manuscript by a medical practitioner.
