In a scale of one to ten… how fucking stupid could you be?
Ten.
No need for confirmation.
You were sitting next to your friends as the lecturer droned on through the first class of the year. As much as you wanted to be a good student and pay attention, it felt impossible when the weight of your own stupidity was crushing you, making you sulk like a naughty child who’d just realized Santa skipped their house entirely.
The washing machine.
Even thinking about that damn thing made you flinch with regret.
Who in their right mind forgets two very important pieces of paper in their pocket before doing laundry?
You, apparently. That’s who.
What kind of self-induced amnesia had you caught?
You could’ve sworn you’d emptied your pockets the second you got back to your dorm.
You remembered doing it, right?
Turns out that was just your exhausted, fucked-up brain gaslighting you into epic failure.
When you finally checked your room later, you realized the “papers” you thought you’d saved weren’t their numbers at all— they were just your old bus tickets.
Things just never worked out for you.
You were clearly destined to be punished by some cruel cosmic force, doomed to eternal unhappiness.
There wasn’t much you could do about it, even after sprinting back to the laundry room in a panic.
It was paper. It was soaked.
What did you expect? A miracle?
Ever since, you’d been moping and sulking hard. Your friends noticed— of course they did. At this point, you were making it everyone’s problem. They were curious anyway; they hadn’t heard a peep from you over the entire holidays. They knew about Luffy, knew you’d spent Christmas with his family, but they had no details.
All day, they’d been chattering about their own breaks while you just listened. No way in hell were you dropping your absolutely feverish, dreamlike holiday saga in the middle of class.
So your friends grew impatient, convinced you were deliberately being mysterious.
You weren’t trying to be mysterious. Right now, you felt like you were single-handedly holding back an entire dam with nothing but a flimsy stick.
After enough prodding, you told them to grab lunch first, because they’d definitely need to be sitting down to digest this.
It’s fair to say the hype lived up to expectations. In fact, they were beyond impressed— they were straight-up shocked as you spilled the juiciest details. Then you got to the part where Ace and Thatch showed up, and your friends started screaming like rabid fangirls. People at nearby tables shot you dirty looks.
By that point, you wanted the floor to swallow you whole.
There was no way you were finishing the story.
But your mouth had other plans. It kept going, word after word, like you had zero control. Watching your friends’ expressions evolve was like witnessing a slow-motion car crash.
And then Vista’s name dropped.
Out of the three women staring at you, only one recognized it immediately. Her eyes went comically wide.
“It can’t be…” Adassa muttered. “I mean, it’s not a common name, but it can’t be…”
“What do you mean?” Selene asked, arms crossed.
“He’s a pornstar…” Adassa finished, watching your face carefully.
“Surpriiise.”
God, you were hilarious. Someone needed to tape your mouth shut.
“I beg your finest pardon,” Cora said.
“But it doesn’t end there,” you continued.
“Of course it doesn’t,” Selene deadpanned. “Now what? You’re gonna tell us you lived out your own personal porno?” She caught the shift— the blush creeping up your cheeks, the flicker of shame in your eyes. “YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME.”
Once again, the entire restaurant turned to stare as your friends lost all volume control. Given the topic now on the table, keeping it down wasn’t really an option.
“All this, while under the same roof as Thatch and Ace— as in Infernal Wake’s Thatch and Ace? I think I need a minute,” Cora said, fanning herself.
“How did any of this even happen!?” Adassa demanded.
“I don’t know!” you wailed, matching their panic. “I walked into that house completely blind. Luffy didn’t say a damn thing about his rockstar brother or his insane family. I barely survived it, and now I’ve lost their numbers and I want to die…”
You buried your face in your hands and groaned loudly.
“Hold on— numbers, plural?” Selene latched on. “As in, you didn’t just hook up with the pornstar…”
“No, I only… had sex with Vista.” The last part came out a whisper. “But Thatch gave me his number too.”
“Okay…” Their brief calm shattered instantly. “THEN WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOST THEM!?”
“I DON’T KNOW, I’M AN IDIOT. THE JACKET WENT THROUGH THE WASHING MACHINE WITH THEM STILL IN THE POCKET,” you lamented.
“And you can’t just ask Luffy to get them back?” Selene pressed.
“Maybe Thatch’s, but definitely not Vista’s,” you said.
“Then ask for Thatch’s at least,” Adassa urged.
You shook your head. “That’s so embarrassing.”
“Girl, you haven’t gotten laid since… well, basically since you got here,” Cora cut in. “Don’t waste this once-in-a-lifetime shot. In a few months you’re heading back home anyway.”
Oh. Right.
This wasn’t your real home.
“Yeah, I don’t know,” you mumbled.
“Somebody grab me before I slap some sense into her,” Selene growled.
A month went by, and you never asked Luffy for Thatch’s phone number.
You tried not to think about what Vista and Thatch might be thinking of you right now.
However, no matter how hard you tried, the thought would slip right past your defenses: “They gave you their numbers, and you chose not to call. They must think you’re a bitch.” This tormented you at least ten times a day, especially before going to sleep, when your mind could only replay your bad choices and most embarrassing moments on an endless loop.
By mid-February, Luffy came bouncing up to you one day, blabbing about how Ace had told him that Infernal Wake was going to start touring in a couple of months. The first show was in a nearby city, and since Ace had invited “Luffy and his friends” that meant you were coming too.
You didn’t really know Luffy’s friends that well—you’d never spoken to any of them—but when you started getting together to plan the trip for the concert, you quickly realized why that bunch of very different yet somehow similar people were such a tight group.
This trip could be your golden opportunity to talk to Thatch again and explain yourself— if he even wanted to hear it after the not-calling-him thing or if he even remembered you. Maybe he was petty like that, though the person you’d met at Christmas didn’t exactly strike you as the bitchy rockstar type. But you never know.
With the Thatch situation tentatively sorted, you were left with the Vista problem, which was ten times harder to figure out.
“Are you seriously going to keep moping?” Selene asked. “You know there are a hundred guys out there. I mean, it wouldn’t be the same, but that’s only because what you found was top-tier dick.”
Those lovely words were spoken right in the middle of the dairy section at six in the evening on a random Thursday— truly a classy move that made the granny analyzing a yogurt label give you both a sharp side-eye.
“Selene!” you hissed.
“What?” Selene shrugged. “It’s true.”
This only made you whine like a loser, folding forward over the handle of the cart you were pushing.
“Have you tried telling Luffy?” Selene asked.
“Not really, but he invited me to his brother’s concert.”
Selene hummed. “I guess that solves one of your problems.”
“I don’t know what to do about Vista, though.”
“Ah, yeah, the mourning of the pornstar dick. Classic,” Selene said. “Didn’t you say he owned a company or something? You could rent one of his movies… Maybe the company’s number is on the VHS case. You call, you ask for him. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.”
You stopped dead in your tracks. “Wait, that’s actually genius. You’re a genius.”
“I suppose our next stop is the video store,” she said.
“Yeah, but I don’t think we need to rent it, just check the back of the case for the phone number,” you said.
“Aren’t you a little curious about what his movies are like?” she asked, then remembered something. “Right, you aren’t. You lived the whole thing.”
And you wanted to die of embarrassment.
“Since we’re there anyway, we might as well rent it and watch it,” Selene said.
“Where? In the common room?” you asked, dripping sarcasm.
“No, Milo from audiovisual has a TV.”
“Why would we involve Milo from audiovisual in this?”
“He won’t mind.”
“He’ll think we’re freaks!” you protested.
“I think there’s no one on campus freakier than him, I can assure you. He won’t mind, he’s a total weirdo…” Selene trailed off, and you caught the sudden glint in her eyes, the faint flush of embarrassment.
“And you like him,” you finished for her. “I’m not going to watch a porno with you two if it means you’re just going to hook up.”
“You could always kiss the TV,” she teased.
“Ha, ha, very funny.”
You went to the video store afterward. You had to admit, you felt a little awkward venturing into the adult section— especially with all those men back there giving you nasty looks. Selene, in another classy move and a brilliant display of her free will, barked at them, and they quickly minded their own business.
“Alright, let’s go find your honey-boo,” she said.
You wanted to fire back something snarky about how she should never use that word again, but honestly, you were just feeling shy.
Vista had his own fucking section.
You hadn’t realized he’d filmed this many movies— how the hell had he managed that?
“Damn, he’s famous famous. I’m surprised I didn’t know him… though Adassa did… huh.”
“Which one should we pick?” you asked.
“This one looks cool… Caveman style. Nice.” Selene shoved a film right in your face. “Maybe this one… Ohhh, look, he’s kneeling. So pathetic. I’m taking this one for myself.”
You were flabbergasted, but yeah, okay. “Selene, I only need the company number on the back…”
“Yeah, but that’s boring. Don’t you want to see what your man does for a living?”
You were speechless.
However, you were a little curious.
“What about that one?” Selene pointed at a VHS. “Didn’t you like reading those fantasy books about gay men in the mountains?”
“Lord of the Rings?”
“Yeah, that one!” Selene said. “Look, this one’s like medieval fantasy. Okay, we’ll take these three.”
There was no arguing with her.
The same chaos unfolded with Milo when Selene banged on his door. He opened it with a confused look on his face.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Milo asked.
“Move, we’re coming in.” Selene basically pushed him aside and strode in like she owned the place. You gave Milo an awkward hi and followed right behind her.
“Selene, what the fuck?” He turned around. “Out!”
“Don’t be a dick. I even brought you one of those Wano movies, you disgusting pervert.” Selene tossed the VHS onto his bed.
Milo sighed, clearly exasperated. “Fine, whatever. What do you want?”
“Your TV,” Selene said.
“For what?” he asked.
“To watch porn, obviously,” Selene replied.
Now Milo looked intrigued, but Selene shut that down fast. “Don’t get some twisted fantasy in your head, weirdo— this isn’t ending in a threesome. Now get the TV out.”
Milo rolled his eyes, closed the door, and walked over to pull the TV from his closet, where it was hidden next to piles of what looked like some very questionable movies.
“What are you going to watch anyway?” Milo asked.
“These.” Selene handed him the VHS tapes.
Milo snorted. “You want to watch this shit?”
“Yeah, you got a problem with that?” Selene shot back.
You stood there awkwardly as they argued— were you… a child of divorce?
“Yeah, this dude? C’mon,” Milo said.
“What? Are you jealous that one of his legs is like two of yours?” Selene teased. “Or maybe the insecurity’s coming from somewhere else?”
Should you just leave and come back when they’re done?
“Stop being a cunt, alright? The TV’s mine. No TV, no weird-ass porn watching.” Milo’s threats were clearly empty— Selene could probably kick him out of his own room if she wanted.
“I mean… we could watch it somewhere else,” you intervened.
They both seemed to have forgotten you were even there.
What a weird way for them to flirt.
“Nah, it’s alright.” Milo cooled down a bit when talking to you.
“Glad to see you came to your senses,” Selene said, plopping down on his bed and patting the spot next to her so you’d join.
The room reeked of stale weed and unwashed guy in a way that made your nose wrinkle. Still, Milo's sheets were unexpectedly soft, carrying that clean detergent scent that almost made up for the rest.
Milo sauntered back from shoving the VHS into the player, then flung himself onto the bed— the mattress dipped and bounced you and Selene a bit, the old wooden frame creaking like it might give up any second.
Credits rolled, then the title splashed across the screen: “A Princess Tale”
Selene passed you the blunt soon after, and you pulled a few deep drags, hoping the smoke would loosen that tight knot in your stomach.
You got hooked quickly.
Not just you— Milo was locked in, eyes narrowed at the storyline. He even shushed Selene once when she tossed out a comment, which earned him a quick smack on the arm.
For a guy who prided himself on hating everything mainstream, Milo giving this porno his stamp of approval felt like a miracle.
Vista was magnetic, charismatic as hell— you almost forgot you were watching filth because his acting, and the actress’s, felt so damn real. The costumes were solid too, especially for the obvious low budget. In addition, the sets were incredibly well done. The movie was probably shot in some crumbling real castle, because the stone walls, the torchlight, and the whole atmosphere screamed authentic.
The three of you were already murmuring about how surprisingly decent the production was when the first full sex scene hit, and all of you let out an audible gasp.
It was raw, filthy, and intense.
You felt a wave of something you couldn’t name wash over you— a growing heat in your lower belly that made you press your thighs together.
This was the kind of fucking that looked like genuine hunger, like they couldn’t get enough of each other. Vista was relentless, a wild beast unleashed. Yet he never lost his manners; at the end of the day, he was a knight rescuing a princess.
You couldn’t help but feel a pinch of jealousy— it should be you.
You’d lost count of the nights you’d spent sleepless, tossing and turning, drenched in sweat and regret as you tried to imitate the sensations you’d experienced with Vista. It was pointless; you never could quite get there. You always got tired or missed the exact spot you needed to touch to reach your goal.
Instead of a satisfying orgasm, you were met with frustration every single time.
And now, watching Vista do his job—thrusting hard, grunting low, making the actress cry out—you couldn’t help but remember the night you’d spent with him.
“Is he actually that good?” Selene’s voice cut through your spiral.
You glanced at her, nodded slowly, heat creeping up your neck that even the weed couldn’t blunt.
“Holy fuck, is that even possible?” he whispered, eyes wide.
“Didn’t you swear these movies were garbage?” Selene teased him.
“Yeah, yeah,” he muttered, waving her off, gaze locked on the screen.
You needed to cool off, or at least think of something else— though it was pretty damn hard with Vista’s sounds filling the background. You snatched up the VHS case, scanning the back until you spotted it: a tiny phone number printed beside the company logo.
“I’ll be right back,” you said, standing. “And please, for the love of god, be clothed when I return.”
“What kind of animals do you take us for?” Selene scoffed.
The kind who'd be fucking on that bed right now if you weren't cockblocking them.
You slipped out and headed downstairs to the common room.
As you walked toward the phone, you couldn't help feeling nervous. Your hands were sweating and your heart was in your throat. As much as you wanted to stay cool about the whole situation, you just couldn't. The lingering echoes of what you'd felt in Milo’s room still haunted you, compounded by the nerves already eating you alive and the numbing doubt that made you want to crawl into a dark corner and never speak to another man again.
You took a deep breath and glanced at the VHS case to mentally prepare yourself for what you were about to do.
You started dialing.
It was late, maybe no one would even answer.
Your fingers kept moving.
Maybe Vista wouldn't want to hear from you after a month of absolute silence.
The phone began to ring, and you held your breath. Whatever happened next, you hoped it wouldn't turn into a terrible mess.
Just when you'd decided it would ring out, a voice answered on the other end.
“Rose Fantasies SL, how can I help you?”
“Hi…” You hurried the words out. “I was wondering if I could speak to Vista?”
“You’re speaking to him.”
“So, uh, I lost your phone number…” Smooth. Real smooth. He probably had a dozen girls on rotation, that told him exactly nothing about who you were.
“Oh, it’s you,” he said, voice warming instantly. “I was starting to think my brother stole you away.”
“Oh no, I lost his number too,” you admitted.
Vista chuckled. “I see. So how’d you track me down?”
“I’d rather not reveal my sources.”
“You watched one of my movies,” he said, amusement clear.
“No, I didn’t.”
Liar, and a terrible one.
“Which one?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You tried for innocent, it landed somewhere closer to desperate.
“Don’t worry, I’ll pry it out of you eventually.”
Your face burned. The weight of his words felt ten times heavier, considering you were standing in the middle of the common room— a couple of guys playing cards at the table and girls glued to a movie on the TV.
“So, I… I was just calling to, yeah, let you know I lost your number. That’s it, really.”
He hummed, thoughtful. “Right. I guess that means we should go on a date, then.”
“What!?”
You winced at your own volume, glances flicking your way.
“A date,” he repeated, calm as ever. “I gotta treat you proper before I fuck you again.”
“Right, how silly of me.”
He laughed— genuinely delighted at how easily you unraveled. “This Friday. I’ll come pick you up.”
You floated back upstairs, a different person entirely. Opened the door to that hazy, stinking room and found exactly what you'd feared: Selene and Milo tangled up, lips locked, hands wandering, your plea for decency ignored.
Selene finally broke the kiss, spotted you in the doorway.
“What happened? Did someone answer?”
“Yeah…”
“And?”
You let the pause hang, just for the drama.
“I’ve got a date tomorrow!”
Selene shoved Milo off her like he weighed nothing. She launched herself at you, screaming, jumping, both of you bouncing like giddy fangirls.
“A date with the pornstar?” Milo asked, sitting up, hair messed.
“Yeah.”
“Happy for your pussy, then.” From Milo, that was practically poetry.
“Don’t be a fucking creep!” Selene snapped.
“What? I meant it nicely.”
“What are you gonna wear?” Selene turned back to you, ignoring him completely.
“I don’t know.”
“Okay, let’s go figure it out right now.” She scooped up her stuff in seconds. “Bye, Milo!”
“What about your damn tapes?” he called as you both bolted. “Selene!”
On Friday afternoon, after being unable to concentrate all day, you found yourself in Selene’s flat amid a hurricane of clothes and stress.
While you had been in your room, Selene had selected some outfits she deemed “date with a pornstar” appropriate. However, now that you were trying them on at her place, she didn’t look pleased with the results.
“I think there’s something missing…” she commented.
“You usually rock that dress… but I don’t know, it doesn’t feel like a date kind of look. Where’s he taking you, anyway?” Adassa asked.
“He didn’t specify. He just said, Doll up, love,” you replied, imitating his voice. “That doesn’t really tell me what he has in mind— it could be anything…”
“Well, it’s at night, so that means either a restaurant or the movies,” Cora said.
“Or he could take you dancing,” a man’s voice interrupted. You all turned to see who it was. “He seems like the kind of guy who’d love that corny shit.”
“Since when have you been here, Milo?” Adassa asked.
“I had lunch here,” he answered simply, which prompted Adassa and Cora to exchange a knowing look with Selene. “By the way, those shoes don’t go with that dress. You probably want something longer but with a bit of spice— you know, like that dress you have, Selene.” He said it so casually as he sat in an armchair and lit a cigarette that all the women in the room were stunned. “Not that he’d care what you wear. He probably just wants to take it off…”
He was cut off by a pillow hitting him squarely in the face.
It was too good to be true.
Still, his advice was spot-on, and you headed into Selene’s room to change into the dress Milo had mentioned.
Fortunately, Selene had a very similar body type to yours, so sharing clothes wasn’t unusual.
When you returned to the living room, you ran into Selene’s roommate, who was likely heading out for the weekend. She gave you an appreciative whistle and said, “Damn, girl, you look groovy.” This was followed by a subtle nod of approval from Milo, which felt like winning a contest by earning the pickiest judge’s endorsement.
You were feeling ready.
Vista, the gentleman he was, had followed the directions you'd given him, and now he was ringing the bell— which sent everyone in the living room into a full-blown panic.
Noisy as they were, they all wanted to catch a glimpse of Vista, but you didn't want this embarrassing chaos hitting your date night so early, so you shoved them all into the kitchen to hide.
Foolish to think they'd actually stay put.
You opened the door, and there stood Vista— tall, refined and a small bouquet of flowers in his hand. Flowers you clearly didn't deserve after ghosting him for a whole month since Christmas. He didn't seem to mind, though; no resentment, no awkwardness in those steady eyes.
As for you, you were barely holding it together. You'd forgotten just how overwhelming he was. Taller than you remembered, definitely buffer if that was even possible, smelling like expensive cologne and confidence, impossibly handsome, and already speaking while you hadn't caught a single word.
"Hi," you managed.
He smiled, warm and unruffled. "You look lovely this evening." His gaze shifted past you into the apartment, and you knew exactly what he'd spotted. "Ah, hello there. I'm afraid I'll have to steal your friend away for a while."
Your friends erupted in a chorus of “Oh, it’s alright,” “Have fun,” and “Nice to meet you too.”
Vista’s charm was unavoidable.
Was Milo blushing?
He was lurking in a corner, still smoking and trying to act nonchalant, but he was looking away— and you could notice a faint blush on his cheeks. As a matter of fact, you were probably the least fazed person in the room, which was saying a lot.
"We're leaving now, bye," you blurted, stepping outside and pulling the door shut behind you.
Of course, as noisy as they were, you caught them crowding the windows again— not even pretending to be subtle anymore, heads poked out, whispering and waving like a bunch of gossiping aunties as you walked toward Vista's car. A sleek navy blue Cadillac that screamed money and probably turned heads with envy from every guy on the block.
You were so overwhelmed, juggling your friends' antics and Vista just existing in all his glory, that you didn't even notice he'd opened the door for you until you nearly walked into it. That, plus the knowing, amused look he gave you, made you want to melt into the pavement.
"There's no need to be nervous," he said calmly, voice smooth as ever. "It's just me."
You wanted to deny it, say you were fine, but he'd see right through the lie— your voice would shake, your hands would tremble, or both. The flowers in your grip were probably wilting from the earthquake in your fingers. "I know."
"Long time no see, huh?" He eased into the driver's seat, starting the engine with a low rumble. "I'm pretty much the same since Christmas, no need to worry."
"Ah, right." You let out a shaky laugh. "I forgot you were a Dungeon Master, my bad."
That earned a genuine chuckle from him, and from there, the night flowed easier.
I need a vampire to sink his canines into my neck to feed on me so we get drunk on the pleasure of the rush of blood as he consumes me like it's the last drop of all the wine left in the universe.

The air carried the rumor that a new girl had fought her way onto the Moby Dick.
You’d only heard the tales that Marco and Thatch came to tell you from time to time. Every story was filled with chaos, but (oddly enough) they were overall charming.
Your siblings painted her as a spicy, untamed kitty, and—you couldn’t lie—you wanted to meet her.
However, you were currently trying to finish writing your grimoire in hopes of publishing it once you reached the next island.
“You should really get some fresh air, you’re starting to look like a sad lettuce.” Thatch was lounging on one of the couches. Chickpea was resting on his pompadour— something Thatch had to learn to love over the past years since he couldn’t stop the bat from doing it every single time he saw him.
“I’m almost done,” you said. “Just give me four more days and I’ll go with your division to explore the next island.”
“Deal,” Thatch said. “Man, you’ve really missed a lot of stuff lately…”
“The new girl?” you asked.
“Yeah.”
“Didn’t she try to set Vista on fire the last time we spoke?”
“You’re really behind on the updates,” Thatch chuckled. “That was like three days ago. Doesn’t birdie tell you about what goes on this ship?”
“He’s above all gossip, as you may know,” you said jokingly.
“I forgot… he has glasses, we will never be as wise as him,” Thatch continued.
“And don’t forget… we’re not doctors. We’ll never achieve such superiority.”
“What are you two talking about, yoi?” Marco asked.
“About how much we love you, bro.” Thatch was quick with the answer, then he leaned toward you like he was sharing a secret. “He’s been a menace lately. I don’t want him to make me scrub the entire deck.”
Marco clearly heard that last part, but he chose to ignore it as he sighed. “Right, yoi.” Then he proceeded to look at you. “Where’s the text I have to proofread?”
You stood up with the stack of papers in your hand. “Thanks for taking the time, Marco.”
“It’s nothing,” he said.
“And, for the record, we do love you… even when you’re annoying,” Thatch said.
You bit your lip to keep from laughing as you watched Thatch dramatically blow kisses in Marco’s direction.
Marco huffed. “You’re the annoying one, yoi.”
“Are you saying the love I feel for my precious brother is annoying?” Thatch pressed.
“What was that thing you said about scrubbing the decks, huh?”
“That’s not fair!”
Marco opened his mouth to fire back with something equally childish—he always did when these two started bickering—when Chickpea suddenly swooped in, landing squarely on Marco’s shoulder.
You could almost see the color drain from Marco’s face as he froze and shivered. “I’m leaving now. Can you... can you take this thing off me?”
Marco was terrified of bats.
Thatch and Chickpea thought it was hilarious and wouldn’t stop teasing him about it.
“Sorry,” you said, gently scooping Chickpea into your hands.
The bat, apparently having chosen sides, stuck his tongue out at Marco.
The look of utter horror on Marco’s face only grew.
“That thing is evil, yoi.”
“He’s not,” you corrected. “You’re going to hurt his feelings, Marco.”
“Yeah, Marco, what a bitch move,” Thatch echoed with a grin.
Marco sighed before stalking off.
“Are you really going to leave without kissing Chickpea goodbye?” Thatch called after him, loud enough to echo down the hallway. “Rude!”
The way you met Ace was rather violent— not because she tried to attack you, but because while she was sparring with Marco, she ended up being kicked to the curb.
You were finally out of your cave for the first time in weeks.
The sound of waves lapping against the hull mixed with the familiar rhythm of the Moby Dick. You were enjoying the warmth of the sun as you stretched out on deck, the fresh, salty air filling your lungs. You were savoring the peaceful moment, until you were violently startled when something—or someone—crashed into you.
The impact was brutal, sending your head slamming against the deck.
What else could you expect when you lived on a ship full of madmen?
“What the hell, Marco!?”
Your ears were still ringing from the shock, but you recognized a woman’s voice. She sounded annoyed, and—now that you noticed—she was sprawled on top of you, huffing indignantly. She clearly hadn’t realized you were underneath her, not until she looked down and saw you pinned beneath her, wearing a pained expression and a weak, awkward smile.
The moment her eyes met yours, her cheeks flushed crimson. Embarrassment instantly overtook her annoyance, and she scrambled upright, yelling, “SHIT, I’M SORRY!”
“It’s okay,” you said, but the tears escaping your eyes said otherwise.
She looked panicked, struggling to find the right words. “Marco… he… he… HE KICKED ME and now you’re… Are you okay!?”
You chuckled, but a sob came out halfway. “Yeah, I’m fine…”
That only made her eyes wider and her panic was unleashed.
As she word-vomited, you finally got a good look at her.
An orange hat, freckles scattered across her face, a tattoo on her toned arm and a bikini top she trusted a little too much…
Could this be the new recruit Thatch and Marco had told you about?
“You must be Ace,” you said. “It’s nice to finally meet you.”
Before Ace could say anything else, Marco appeared, jogging your way. Underneath his cool demeanor, he was equally as panicked as Ace.
“I’m sorry, yoi,” Marco said. “Did you get hurt?”
“No, not really,” you said, trying to hide the obvious.
“You’re lying.” He just knew you well like that.
So you kept your mouth shut since he was right.
“Let’s get you to the infirmary and see if you didn’t get a concussion, yoi.”
In the meantime, Ace was still straddling you, blushed and flustered as hell. She was trying to be cool about it, but she couldn’t, and it was showing.
“Darling, could you…” you said.
Ace immediately scrambled to get off you, apologizing all the way. And only once she paused, standing next to Marco, did she realize that you had called her darling. She was about to combust, the embarrassment so intense that some of her flames started to lick the skin of her shoulders.
“See you around,” you said before leaving with Marco.
And Ace waved a bit awkwardly as she watched you walk away.
Ace was genuinely puzzled as to why she hadn’t noticed you before. She had been around long enough to have seen pretty much everyone on the ship, whether it was in the mess hall, the gym, the deck or the infirmary. You weren’t just some random person— you stood out among these pirates, and besides, you always seemed to be around the commanders…
Did you even belong to any of the divisions?
Everything surrounding you was strange.
And, for some reason, Ace couldn’t stop thinking about you.
Whether it was curiosity or some sort of magnetic pull, Ace couldn’t figure it out. Thatch had jokingly called it “the witch’s allure” and in a way, Ace could see the resemblance between you and the witches from fantasy tales. You dressed like you were the daughter of the night: long dark dresses with sleeves that resembled bat wings— the only things missing were the black pointy hat and the broom.
All this dark aesthetic only fed into the mystery you represented in Ace’s mind.
After the “almost knocking you out” incident, Ace hadn’t been able to speak directly to you. For starters, you were nowhere to be seen for an entire week. And by the time she spotted you again, it was only in the blink of an eye— one moment you were there, the next you were gone.
It was frustrating.
Ace could strike up a friendship with even the grumpiest, most standoffish person on the ship, but with you it was different. You appeared and vanished like a shadow, lingering on the edges of things, rarely speaking to anyone.
Truth be told, Ace had no idea how to approach you.
For now, all she could do was admire you from a distance— and it was starting to hurt, because she desperately wanted to be your friend too.
Thatch, ever the perceptive older brother, quickly noticed Ace sulking day after day and decided to investigate.
“So,” he said one afternoon, leaning against the railing beside her, “are you going to tell me why you’ve been moping around like someone stole your dinner, or…?”
“It’s nothing,” Ace muttered, crossing her arms defensively.
“Oh, come on, don’t lie to me. You’ve been like this for weeks. Spill it, kid. Tell good ol’ Thatch what’s bothering you.” He paused, then grinned. “Is it love-related?”
“What!? No! I don’t— What!? No…” Ace sputtered, her face heating up. “It’s just… I can’t figure out how to befriend her.”
“Her?” Thatch’s eyes lit up with understanding. “Ah. You mean our little witch.”
Witch?
Maybe that was your nickname.
“Yeah,” Ace admitted, looking away.
Thatch chuckled warmly. “She’s easier to approach than you think. She looks intimidating on the outside, but she’s actually pretty great once you get past that. Just go talk to her.” He leaned in close, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. “Here’s a tip about this ship: if you look hard enough, you can always find the witch’s lair.”
The witch’s lair?
Thatch’s words planted a seed of curiosity in Ace’s mind.
She didn’t quite understand what he meant, and it struck her as strange that he’d called you a witch twice now— but something in her gut told her she simply hadn’t explored the ship thoroughly enough.
So, that night, when everyone was asleep, she wandered through the corridors.
Ace wasn’t one to stay put when curiosity got its hooks into her. Tonight, she headed down to the lower levels, nearly reaching the storage rooms at the bottom when she noticed a strange light coming from a room at the end of the hallway.
Could it be?
The way to the witch’s lair?
Her pulse quickened at the thought that she might have finally figured out what Thatch had meant. Grinning to herself, she broke into a light jog toward the room— only to be met with the darkness of an ordinary storage space. A couple of towels, some shelves, a few chairs… and that was pretty much it.
Had she imagined the light?
Just as Ace was about to turn around and call it a night, a faint glow appeared from behind a shelf in the corner. Her eyes narrowed. With a huff, she walked over and shoved the shelf aside to see what it was hiding.
A hallway.
She glanced to the side, where a window overlooked the sea. Outside, everything was normal— the water gently lapping against the ship, no sign of anything unusual.
No hallway. No hidden room.
“What the hell…?”
Fear wasn’t really Ace’s thing, and confusion definitely wasn’t enough to stop her. She took a steadying breath and stepped forward. The hallway was pitch black, like walking straight into a void, but a faint purple glow along the walls gave her just enough light to orient herself. Her footsteps echoed as she moved, every sense on high alert. Small flames flickered around her knuckles on instinct, just in case something decided to jump her from the shadows.
Nothing did.
Instead, she reached a half-open door. She paused, then leaned in to peek inside and froze.
Inside was the coziest room she had ever seen.
You stood at a table cluttered with glass containers filled with colorful liquids, clearly in the middle of brewing something.
A sweet scent lingered in the air— floral, with a cool, minty undertone.
Ace inhaled before she could stop herself.
…Yeah. That figures, she thought, heat creeping up her neck as the smell reminded her far too vividly of you.
She snapped back to attention when she noticed a pair of golden eyes watching her from the corner. A soft noise followed, just enough to give her away.
“Who’s there?” you asked.
Ace’s stomach dropped. For once, she hesitated, caught between bolting and announcing herself like a normal person.
She chose to bolt.
Naturally, she tripped.
She hit the floor with a thud that echoed far louder than she would’ve liked.
“Damn it.”
Out of all the ways Ace could have made her presence known, this had to be the worst. And it only got more embarrassing when you opened the door fully and found her sprawled on the floor, hat slipping low over her face. She let it stay there, scowling beneath the brim as she pushed herself up on her elbows.
“Oh, Ace, it’s you,” you laughed.
Ace didn’t even dare to move.
In her mind, if she stayed perfectly still, maybe you wouldn’t notice how badly she’d just embarrassed herself.
When she didn’t get up, you crouched beside her and gently lifted her hat, revealing her flushed face. Somehow, her freckles looked even cuter like this.
“Welcome officially to the Whitebeard Pirates, Ace,” you said.
She blinked up at you in confusion before slowly sitting up. “What?”
“Thatch told you about the witch’s lair, didn’t he?”
“Yeah…” Ace replied. “How’d you know?”
“He always does that with the newbies. It’s kind of a tradition now,” you explained. “This room is both the easiest and the hardest to find on the ship, so he turned it into an initiation ritual. If you find it, you’re officially part of the crew. It’s silly, I know.”
“That’s really cool.” Ace’s her eyes lit up with excitement. “So, does that mean you’re a witch?!”
You nodded. “I thought you knew. Everyone does.”
“I thought they were kidding, but it’s true… You’re a witch!” Ace laughed. “Can you do magic and stuff? Wait— is this a magic room?”
“This is a magic room,” you said. “It connects with every important place on the Moby Dick.”
“WOAH, is this where you live?” Ace asked, leaning closer, her excitement completely overriding any sense of personal space.
“Uh… yeah.”
The sudden intensity caught you off guard, and you lost your balance, falling backward and landing on your ass.
“That’s so cool!” Ace kept rambling, but then she paused, as if remembering herself. “Oh, sorry. Am I bothering you? It’s late, I probably shouldn’t be…”
“It’s okay,” you said. “I was about to have some tea. Would you like to join me?”
“Yeah, I’d love to!”
Once you both got up from the floor, Ace finally had the chance to really look around. She seemed mesmerized by things that felt completely ordinary to you. She wandered around the room, peeking at everything: the books on your shelves, the strange ingredients in jars, the flowers drying on a rope in the corner, and countless other oddities.
As you prepared her tea, you noticed she had gone quiet, staring intently at one shadowy corner of the room.
You immediately knew what was about to happen.
However, to your surprise, Chickpea didn’t pull his usual stunt of jumpscaring the newbie into running away. Instead, he swooped down, latched onto Ace’s hat, and dangled upside down right in front of her face.
Ace blinked, confused. Then she turned toward you, eyes wide with awe, pointing at Chickpea.
“YOU HAVE A PET BAT?!”
Ace immediately became a very present figure in your life.
She was difficult not to see, even if you spent most of your days hiding in your room writing. She always managed to find her way back to you.
Every time you went to the mess hall, she was there, hanging her arm around your shoulders. Other times, you two would run into each other in the most unexpected places— on a snack run at midnight, scrubbing the deck after pissing off Marco, even coming into your room through a door you didn’t even know existed.
She was everywhere, and she was starting to get into you.
You weren’t immune to her beauty nor her charisma— you had to admit it. You’d been interested from the very first moment. But now it was unbearable.
And then you started to notice the signs.
The strange coincidences that always meant trouble.
The clock hands aligned at odd moments. A spider would suddenly drop from the ceiling and dangle right in front of your face. Certain words and phrases kept repeating around you.
And then the dream happened.
It was a cold night, yet you woke up sweaty and panting.
Your body burned with an unfamiliar heat that rushed from the soles of your feet to the very last strand of your hair. It was electrifying, overwhelming, and it was driving you insane. You could still taste the dream, the sensation clinging to your skin like a phantom touch.
A helpless whimper escaped you as you pressed your thighs together, desperately seeking relief.
Ace’s hands…
All over your body. Warm, steady, and rough.
She maneuvered you exactly where she wanted you, with effortless control.
Another pathetic moan slipped from your lips as you squirmed against the sheets.
Stop it.
This isn’t like you.
Yet your hand still trailed down your abdomen until it reached your dripping pussy. Your fingers hovered just above your clit, but you were already aching to touch yourself.
Ace’s lips —so soft— kissing you. Your neck. Your breasts. Your lower belly… and lower.
Your fingers began rubbing slow circles over your swollen clit.
The way she looked at you in the dream— those sweet eyes now half-lidded and heavy with desire.
She was relentless, insatiable. She devoured you like it was her last meal, never once coming up for air, completely lost in you. It didn’t matter if it took minutes, hours, or days. She was determined to make you come undone on her tongue. Once. Twice. As many times as she could pull from your trembling body.
In the dream, Ace slid two fingers inside you. You did the same now, desperately trying to recreate that earth-shattering feeling. Every fiber of your being fought to make it feel the same, but it wasn’t enough. Frustration built rapidly. Your other hand gripped the sheets tightly as you shifted restlessly, buried your face in the pillow, and pumped your fingers faster.
You were so close.
Closer than ever.
Your vision began to blur—
And then…
Nothing.
Your body seemed to flip an internal switch, cutting off the orgasm right at the edge. You were left stranded halfway there, throbbing, desperate, and utterly devastated.
“Long time no see.”
You smiled shyly. “Hi, Vista,” you said, giving a slightly awkward wave now that almost all the commanders were looking in your direction.
Ace, who had been far too focused on devouring her meal like a wild beast, finally looked up to see what the commotion was about. Her brain short-circuited when she saw you standing there. She opened her mouth to call out to you, forgetting she still had food in it, and Marco had to pat her back until she recovered.
Embarrassment already tinted her cheeks, but Ace wasn’t about to let it get to her.
“Oi,” she called, her voice a bit hoarse. “Come sit with us!”
The moment you realized Ace was there, something washed over you.
The smile you’d worn while chatting with Vista and Jozu vanished instantly.
How could you even look her in the eyes after last night’s dream?
It felt dreadful —embarrassing— as if everyone at the table could see right through you.
“You have to try this!” Ace said, pointing to her plate. “It’s soooo good.”
“Oh, it’s okay. I’ll go get a plate, that’s your food.”
“Nah, it’s fine. You can eat from my plate,” Ace chirped.
That felt oddly intimate— the last thing you needed right now.
Apparently, everyone else at the table was just as surprised as you were, because the conversation paused. Briefly. Then it picked right back up, as if they hadn’t heard Ace’s words at all.
Ace, who never shared her food…
“Come on, you’re gonna like it.”
She was so insistent—all pretty eyes and freckles—that you ended up sitting across from her. Ace immediately flashed you a bright smile as she pushed the plate toward you, eager to see your reaction as you took a bite.
Your heart felt like it might explode. Her gaze was excruciating, and it only made your embarrassment from before resurface.
“Isn’t it good!?” Ace’s smile widened.
Suddenly, the cat got your tongue, and you couldn’t speak, so you just nodded.
“Children, children… You warm my heart with your praises.” Thatch plopped into the chair beside you, setting down a plate full of fruit. “Here, have some. I picked these up on the last island. Lovely taste.”
“Cool!” Ace exclaimed, snatching one from the plate.
She sank her teeth on the plump fruit and your throat went dry.
The fruit was a particularly juicy one. The kind that makes a mess. Everywhere.
Your eyes were now fixated on her, pupils fully blown out.
At this point, you couldn't lie to yourself. You wanted this. You wanted her now. There was a fire deep inside you, and no matter how hard you tried to extinguish it, it resurfaced ten times stronger. It was driving you insane. The dream you had last night was just a cautionary tale, the crescendo to a devastating catastrophe that was just unfolding before your very eyes.
You were feeling hazy, fighting your every instinct to just act normal. To remember that you were in the mess hall, surrounded by pretty much everyone on the ship…
But then, Ace took another bite. The juices dripped down her mouth, to her delicate neck and…
You had to bite your lip, looking down at the plate, trying to pretend that you were busy eating. The other people around the table didn’t seem to notice what Ace was doing to you, nor did Ace.
You tried to breathe, but it felt a bit restrained.
Ace’s boobs were now covered in some sticky juice, and you were aching to lick her clean. The mere thought made you shiver. Being all cozied up, face buried between those massive, soft, and lovely boobs, cleaning her up with your tongue. Trailing upwards until your lips meet, the sweet, tangy aftertaste melting as your lips merged together into a sensual make out session. Dragging each second, never wanting it to end.
“Damn, this thing is messy as hell,” Ace commented.
Your cheeks turned crimson at the realization.
You were in the mess hall.
Surrounded by the entire crew.
Shit.
“I gotta go, I don’t feel well,” you mumbled as you stood up.
Everyone must have been astonished by your sudden outburst. You heard Thatch ask something, but it didn’t reach your ears. Meanwhile, Ace blinked, perplexed, still with a mouthful of the fruit she was chewing. She tried to speak up, almost choking on her own words.
Once you managed to escape the mess hall, you stopped by the railing to catch your breath. Your fingers dug into the wood, as if that would offer you some kind of solace. The whole thing was too much. You felt claustrophobic, your heart beating so fast and hard you thought it would explode inside your chest.
Yet you wouldn’t face the truth.
Those very obvious feelings pointed to a very obvious reality— a reality you thought you could make disappear just by never speaking about it.
And the denial continued.
Three painful months went by.
A game of cat and mouse.
You barely left your room, using the poor excuse that you were writing another book. Ace tried reaching out, coming to your room. Every time it happened, you either disappeared through another door or blocked the entrance before she could even step inside. You always made it look like a coincidence, like a strange trick of the universe. But Ace wasn’t dumb.
One month of not being able to reach you was fine. Two was strange. Three was outright outrageous.
She was now sparring with Thatch, and today she felt incredibly angry.
It had finally clicked that you were actively ignoring her.
Why?
She had no idea.
However, she was hurt. Still, she didn’t want to seem like a weakling, so she pushed those feelings aside and replaced them with rage— a rage that burned deep in her core and made flames flicker across her skin.
It was obvious to Thatch that she wasn’t alright. She was fighting like she actually wanted to demolish her opponent, so he put an end to it. Thatch smoothly managed to immobilize her, to which Ace thrashed and huffed.
“Hey! Knock it off,” Thatch said.
Ace stopped, but the flames still lingered on her body.
“Listen, I don’t know what’s going on with you today, but if you want to talk…” Thatch offered.
“I don’t. I’m fine,” she replied. Still the same bad habit of hers.
Thatch sighed. “Alright then. Take the rest of the day to cool down, and you better be done with that attitude by dinner or I’ll leave you a very small, very cold portion.”
Thatch’s words only pissed Ace off even more. She huffed and stood up, stomping out of sight.
Ace wandered around the ship, driven by her numbing rage. Her mind was on autopilot. She didn’t even think twice before she unconsciously started searching for a way into your room.
If you wanted to avoid her, fine. But at least you should have the decency to be straightforward and tell her to her face that you didn’t want anything to do with her anymore.
She opened every door she saw, until one led to the usual corridor. She sneaked inside, the darkness couldn't reach her because she was boiling to the point of starting a whole fire all over her body. She noticed the light coming from the end of the corridor, she blinked and the light was no longer there. Instances like this had happened to her multiple times. She used to think that the doors to your room had a mind of their own, and that they closed down just because. But now she knew better. Ace didn’t care for no doors, she would make one of her own if she had to. You weren’t going to get away with this one.
She bolted to the end of the corridor and blasted her fist right where she had seen the door. She didn’t even know if it would work out, she hadn’t thought much of it. And to her surprise, it did work. When she looked up there you were, leaning against your crafting table with a hand over your chest and eyes wide open. Ace felt a pinch in her heart at the idea of having scared you, but she quickly reminded herself why she had made this mess in the first place.
“Ace” Your voice quivered. “W… Wha… Why?”
Ace stepped inside the room, the splintered wood cracked under the wood, and she walked up right in front of you. You didn’t even have time to walk away, you hadn’t even been able to process it, but once you did you felt like a cornered bunny. Ace was still on fire, you could feel the heat warming your skin. She was towering you, staring with a deep frown that made your heart drop to your stomach.
“Why are you avoiding me?” She asked, straight forward.
“I’m not…”
“Cut the crap.”
You’ve never heard her so serious, so angry. It made you flinch slightly, as the fire got more and more intense.
“You’ve been avoiding me for three fucking months.” She seethed, leaning forward. “Why?”
There was silence from you. You couldn't bring yourself to utter the words. They were at the tip of your tongue, yet you couldn't. Ace’s presence was driving you insane, the proximity quite literally burned your skin. Her expression seemed to shift, the frown faltered for a second — disappointment, it was plastered all across her face. The twitch of her lips, the sudden sadness of her eyes, the way her eyebrows softened. The fire was still there. Closer than ever. But it didn’t burn with rage or passion, it felt like the remaining ashes of a long forgotten letter. She did too have unspoken words. Words that were bigger to her, that were weighting her down to meet your eyes and face the truth. In that brief moment of vulnerability, when both your gazes locked, it was a done deal. You leaned forward, your hands craved her body, even if you got scorched by her skin. Either way. You would burn a thousand times if that meant that you got to melt with her.
Ace didn’t expect the following to happen. Your lips on top of hers, a kiss as soft as a feather.
Her fire died out as she took a step back, putting some distance between you two.
She was speechless. And, as the emotions sunk in, she could only stare at you in disbelief, opening and closing her mouth like a fish out of the water.
“I’m sorry” You finally said.
“I… You…” Ace struggled to come up with an answer. “Your hands.”
You looked down to your hands and now you felt the stingy pain of the burnt skin, but you kept a straight face. The sensation was consuming you. The pain felt exhilarating, and right now you could only think of the deep hunger you’ve been trying to hold back for months. You bit your lip, staring at the reddened palms and you squeezed your hands into a fist, just to ample that sweet torture.
Ace walked up to you and grabbed your wrists to stop you. “What are you doing!? You’re gonna hurt yourself.”
“This pain doesn’t equal the one I’ve felt yearning for you.”
Those words felt like a slap to Ace’s face. “You like me?”
Your eyes were fixated on hers, a bit watery due to the pain, but certain. “I do.”
“So you like-like me…” Ace tasted the words on her tongue as she pronounced them. It was oddly sweet, just as it had felt to kiss you a few minutes ago. And she oh so selfishly wanted to feel more of that sensation.
Without giving it much thought, she dived back to submerge herself in the fulness of your lips. She was a bit clumsy at first. All passion and no technique. But it was enough, it was sincere and it was driving you insane. You slung your arms over Ace’s shoulder, locking behind her neck just to kiss her even deeper. Meanwhile, she had pushed you against the table, her hands were roaming your waist until she grabbed you and sat you on the table, the sudden motion made some of the stuff that were on the table tumble and fall. You two didn’t care. Ace pressed herself closer to you, her fingers digging on your skin, almost hard enough to leave a mark.
“I need you closer.” She whispered against your lips.
You let out a strained moan against her lips, feeling how your panties just got wetter just by hearing those words.
Without uttering a word, you casted a spell to restore all the damage done to the room. All the wood started moving, which made Ace turn around to look at it while the wall restored itself in a matter of seconds. Then came the glass vessels that had fallen down, and now, you showed her your hands right before her face. They had healed.
“How?”
“Magic, baby.” You said, a bit playful.
Now that your hands were healed you pushed Ace with two fingers right in between her breasts. Your eyes followed your fingers, you bit your lip, closed your legs and squeezed slightly at the sight of those beautiful tits. Ace wasn’t ready for what you had stored for her. And you knew it right away when you looked her in the eyes and was staring back at you with a mix of amusement and confusion.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” She asked.
“What do you think?” You asked back.
“Dunno.” She shrugged slightly.
“You truly are clueless.” Now you were amused. “You’ve never noticed how people stare at you?”
“Nah”
You chuckled. “But you have noticed the way I stare at you.”
“Yeah, like you want a snack.” The metaphor was so perfectly fitting for her that you couldn't help but laugh.
“Exactly.” Your smile turned wicked. “I want to eat you up.”
“What? That’s not possible…” Ace said like you were insane.
“You don’t think so, huh?” You teased. “Well, let me prove you wrong then.”
Ace was genuinely clueless as to what you meant. Yeah, she was used to drunk pirates kissing with strangers in the tavern. She knew about kissing. She never thought of it as appealing. She had never felt the want for kissing men, so she thought that those things weren’t meant for her. Or at least that’s what she thought before she met you. You plagued her mind with endless scenes of kissing, scenes that made her ache between her legs in a way she had rarely felt before. She had struggled with it for months, not being able to relief herself.
And now, after having kissed you, she thought that she would find that relief. But no. She just ached ten times more. She felt flustered. Hot. A bit ashamed of not being able to stop those strange feelings from bothering her. Ace huffed, hugging herself as if the contact would do something to ease her.
“Is everything okay, Ace?” You asked, a bit worried by her reaction.
“Yeah, it’s just that… I feel hot… very hot.” She was trying to find a way to put to words what she was feeling. “And it’s bothering me. A lot. Like, I’ve been feeling like this ever since I met you, but now it… it burns.”
You smiled, endeared by her words. “You like-like me too, then” You grabbed her by the hem of her pants and pulled her closer.
Ace blushed. “Yeah.”
You hummed, combing behind her ear a strand of hair. “Let me help you then.”
“Okay.”
“Do you trust me?” You asked, she nodded. “Good girl. Now, if you feel uncomfortable, you tell me, okay?”
Ace nodded once again, eagerly.
You unfastened her belt under her curious gaze, then you unbuttoned her jeans and unzipped it. Just perfect to sneak your hand inside. But before you did, a thought crossed your mind. “I think we should lay down.”
You hopped down the table and grabbed Ace’s hand to guide her to a pile of fluffy pillows you had on a corner. As you walked the lights of the room dimmed on its own, Ace heard a chirp from Chickpea just before the bat disappeared in the shadows. You guided Ace to sit down. Before you did too, you stood there, right where she could see you whole, and you unfastened the black corset, just to throw it somewhere in the room, then, you unbutoned your skirt until it pooled on your feet. Ace gulped, as she now could see more of you than just your silhouette. The expectation to see what you were hiding under your shirt made her ache harder for it. When you finally lifted your shirt, Ace’s throat went dry. It was better than she could have ever imagined. She couldn't help but stare.
“You like what you see?” You asked, lowering your voice to sound more sultry.
Ace nodded vigorously, which only made you go bolder.
You straddled her, your boobs were right above her face and she was really trying to look at you in the eyes.
The soft glow of the candles reflected on your body, making it a sight that Ace wouldn't be able to forget in a long time.
“Do you want to see what’s underneath my brassiere?” You asked, pushing your boobs a bit closer to Ace’s face. “I bet you do, just look at you. All flustered and fidgety.” You hummed. “C’mon, Ace, take it off. They’re all yours. To see. To touch… To taste.”
Ace hesitated at first, her hands were shaking as she went to unbuckle the brassiere. She fought against it for a bit, but in the end she managed to take it off. The situation was nerve wracking for her, having a goddess-like woman right in front of her. So close, so naked. It felt like a crime. Maybe that’s why she couldn't bring herself to touch your breasts. At least not until you grabbed her hands and positioned them on top of your bare skin. You let out a sigh when you felt the warm touch of her big, calloused hands. Ace started massaging them, finding a bit of confidence stored inside her.
“Does… does it feel good?” Ace asked, trying to mimic the way you were talking to her.
“It feels amazing.” You said before going in for a kiss.
The kiss stripped her of her newfound confidence. You were a great kisser. Ace had never kissed anyone else, but she couldn't imagine it being as good as kissing you. She felt in heaven. Ace’s hands fell flat on the pillow and she just let you work your magic. Your touch was exhilarating, it ignited flames under her skin. And as you started to kiss her neck, Ace couldn't help but gasp and shut her eyes, drinking into the new sensation. You sucked on one specific spot, and a wave of pleasure washed over her. You bit her, softly. Ace grabbed onto whatever she could find.
The fluffy pillows, the intoxicating essence, the dimmed lights.
It was all wonderful, and it was getting to her.
Your hands moved down to her breasts, massaging them over the fabric of her bikini. They were so big that you couldn’t fully cup them with your hands. It only made your mouth water, aching to taste them. Your thumb traced over her erect nipple and you felt her shiver underneath you.
Ace was so sensitive. It was cute.
You finally pushed the fabric aside and her breasts were there on full display for you to enjoy.
“So pretty,” you said, fully mesmerized.
Ace was all flustered just from listening to your words. She tried to hide her face with her arm, which only made the taut muscles stand out more. “What’s wrong, baby? Can’t take a little compliment?” It wasn’t cruel mockery, just a bit of teasing.
“I… uh…” Ace stuttered, before interrupting herself with a whimper the moment you pressed your tongue flat against her nipple. You kept eye contact, watching how her expression shifted even while it was still hidden by her arm. Then you began to suck, while your other hand massaged her other breast.
“I want you to look at me,” you said.
“But…” In all honesty, you had never seen Ace be this… Aceless. “I feel silly.”
“You’re always silly. I like you like that,” you said.
“Hey!”
You grabbed her by the chin, making her look at you. “Aren’t you a sweetheart?”
Ace felt as if she was about to explode into a thousand little stars. The anticipation of what was coming next—even though she didn’t know it yet—was killing her. The way you were so natural about it poured like honey from your mouth and coated her insides with a gooey, warm, sticky je ne sais quoi that was slowly melting her heart.
It was all just the beginning.
You were so tender as you kissed her lower belly. The happy trail tickled your nose, making you giggle slightly. Once you managed to pull her jeans down—with her help as she wiggled her hips—you were met by her silly little parrot panties. Yes, complete with a red bow in the middle.
“Cute,” you muttered.
Ace was about to start blabbering about them, but you cut her off halfway. You were now face to face with her clothed pussy; Ace could feel your warm breath. The proximity was making her ache. Your hands slid over the tanned skin of her thighs, the muscles tensing under your touch. They were strong— strong enough to crush any bastard’s head between them. Your fingers dug into her skin, and before Ace could fully notice, her panties had magically vanished and your tongue licked a long strip upward. This made her shiver, her legs instantly closing around your head.
That didn’t stop you.
You kept working steadily, trying to find that exact spot that would drive her crazy.
And you did.
Her reaction was a bit brutal. Her thighs squeezed your head with enough force to make you pass out. Her fingers found their way into your hair and she pulled and pulled without noticing your slight discomfort. You were fine— more than fine. The oxygen was reaching your brain slower and slower, but the determination to make her come was enough to keep going. Once you felt she was ready, you slid one finger inside her, which made her gasp and loosen her grip on your head slightly. The movements that followed were controlled and tender, just testing the waters in case she felt any discomfort.
“How is it, love?” you asked her, lips glistening with her juices. “Good?”
Just as you asked, you curled your finger, hitting the exact spot that made Ace whimper like a pathetic dog. She seemed to have lost the ability to talk, which was very rare for her.
“You think you can take two fingers?”
Ace nodded.
“That doesn’t do it for me,” you said, stopping altogether. “For all that yapping, you’re now quite silent.”
“But…” she sobbed. “Why did you stop?”
“I won’t continue until you use your words for me, love,” you said.
“Please, please, please… just please,” she begged.
“Awww, so soon and such a mess,” you cooed. “You want me to make you feel really good?”
“Yes, please,” Ace admitted, as if this was her surrendering after a fight.
You went back between her legs and started slowly. Kissing her clit, sucking on it— the contact was barely there, but it was driving Ace insane because she wanted more. You weren’t about to give it to her, not unless she explicitly asked. She was quiet, just moaning, lost in that unfinished pleasure. You just needed to push her further. Your tongue found the exact spot that made her shiver, and you began to lick— left and right, slow, slow, slow. You were pacing yourself with a self-control you knew Ace didn’t have, and it was driving her crazy.
“Please make me feel good,” she whined.
That, you expected. What you didn’t expect was her locking her legs to trap you there.
Quite mischievous, you might add— just the way you liked it.
She squeezed you, pushing your face straight into her pussy. If she was willing to be so rebellious, you would teach her a lesson. Two of your fingers slid inside her and began massaging that soft spot as you went back to licking her clit. Ace was relentless. As you built her toward orgasm, her legs constricted even further. You were dizzy and out of breath, but you kept going as you felt her nearing the finish line. Her breath grew erratic, her legs trembled, and her voice turned shaky as she pleaded for more.
You worked in mysterious ways, casting a spell that relaxed Ace’s entire body— a natural aphrodisiac of pure calm. When her mind finally went blank, you knew it was a done deal. She had completely and utterly given in to the pleasure. Even with your mouth full of her, she could still hear your voice echoing in her mind. It was alluring, drawing her closer and closer to wherever you were. She ran after it until her knees began to buckle and her entire body started to shake.
Ace snapped her eyes open.
In a matter of seconds, she felt her whole body collapse. Her mind went blank once more, plunging her into a void of perpetual bliss. Once, twice. Her body went numb, too spent from the tidal wave of continuous pleasure washing over her.
She had never felt like this before. She hadn’t even known it was possible.
Ace slowly began to regain consciousness, coming back to her senses. She realized she was lying on some pillows in a room she knew well, and that you were resting your head on her lower belly, breathing softly. Your face was flushed, eyes closed, mouth glistening. You were just as tired as she was, which she found cute. Her hand reached out to brush aside a few strands of hair that had fallen in front of your eye, and that made you look up at her.

Author's note: The Reader is only named Nancy because that's the default name I use for all of my fics. I'm not good at writing second person, sorry. The idea for this fic came after I re-watched one of the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" movies and I thought Ace gives me Rodrick vibes. Sometimes a girl just has to write a fluffy silly one-shot full of clichés of a fictional character she's got a crush on. The smut part is at the very end, and can be totally skipped, lol. I included Mihawk and Crocodile as teachers and I lost my ass off.

"The obsidian scales of the wyvern shimmer with a malevolent, oily sheen as it descends from the rafters of the Forsaken Keep!" Usopp declared, his voice rising to a theatrical vibrato. He leaned over the coffee table, his shadow looming large against the basement walls. "The beast’s nostrils flare, exuding a sulfuric stench that threatens to choke the very breath from your lungs. Its eyes—primordial orbs of burning amber—fixate upon all of you".
Such were those gold-spun afternoons, sequestered within the sanctuary of her best friend's living room. There were few things she held more dear than those DnD campaigns— the cacophony of shared laughter, the cloying scent of salt-laden snacks pilfered from the corner bodega, and the tinny, distant warble of Top 40 hits emanating from Luffy's grandfather's rickety radio. It was an ideal microcosm of chaos, defined by Luffy’s erratic whims, Usopp’s frantic dedication to his craft, and Sanji’s inexplicable insistence on treating a tabletop fantasy as a dating simulator.
Yet, on this particular evening, the air felt heavy, the camaraderie unable to pierce the shroud of Nancy's mounting melancholy. Her chin remained anchored in her palm, her gaze listless and drifting.
"Hey, Usopp," Luffy interrupted, picking a piece of lint off his character sheet. "Is the dragon cool? Can I be friends with him?"
Usopp’s eye twitched, his carefully constructed atmosphere shattering like glass. "Friends? Luffy, it is a Drake of the Ninth Circle! It hasn't eaten in three centuries, and it perceives your existence as a light appetizer!"
"So... I can eat it?" Luffy asked, his eyes widening with genuine curiosity.
"NO, YOU CANNOT EAT THE BOSS!" Usopp shrieked, clutching his head.
On the other side of the table, a blond boy exhaled a long, elegant plume of smoke, leaning back in his chair with a practiced, nonchalant grace. His character, a silver-armored knight with a suspiciously well-groomed coif, sat poised on the grid map. "Ignore the glutton, Dungeon Master. My character, Sir Valentine of the Blue North, steps forward. I shall remove my plumed helm, bow low, and attempt to charm the dragon’s handmaiden. Surely a creature of such power is surrounded by ladies of refined taste?"
"It’s a dungeon, Sanji! There are no handmaidens, only skeletons, moss and misery!" the irritated dungeon master roared. He turned his desperate gaze toward the corner of the sofa. "Nancy! For the love of the gods, your party is falling apart. The dragon is inhaling! It’s your turn!"
Nancy didn’t move. Her chin was propped in her palm, her eyes glazed over as she stared at the empty wrappers of snacks.
"Nancy!" Usopp barked. "Earth calling Nancy. Come on. You're on another planet, aren't you?"
She snapped back to reality, her expression souring instantly. "It wouldn't be the case if a certain TRAITOR hadn't abandoned me!" she declared, her voice ringing out with a sharp, spiteful clarity that silenced even Luffy’s humming.
Luffy blinked, tilting his head with the baffling innocence of a golden retriever. "But you said you didn't want to go to the prom!"
"I say a lot of things," she scoffed. "We were supposed to be the 'Loser Duo' together. And now? Now I’m the only one who won’t have ‘memories for a lifetime’ or whatever other sentimental rot they print in the yearbook.”
“I've already told you a million times that I'm sorry, Nance,” Luffy said, though his apology was undermined by his reaching for a handful of chips. “But you know I’ve already got a partner.”
Sanji let out a strangled, envious cough, nearly dropping his cigarette. "I don't know how you pulled the head cheerleader, man. Not even in my wildest dreams."
"Hancock is a very good friend of mine," Luffy said, flashing that signature, unconscious grin that drove half the school mad. To him, the most beautiful girl in the county was just another person who shared her lunch. "When she asked me, I couldn't say no. She also told me she would take me out to dinner after the dance."
Usopp slapped his forehead with a resounding thwack. "Yeah... 'dinner.' He's going to eat you alive, dude."
"It’s not fair!" Nancy groaned, throwing her hands up. "Everyone is sorted! You’re going with Kaya, Luffy going with that vixen who bullies Koby, Sanji’s... well, Sanji is going. One of you has to help me! I can't be the only senior staying home eating three-flavor ice cream straight from the tub while while watching low-budget slashers. This is a crisis!"
Sanji placed a hand over his heart, his expression melting into one of tragic chivalry. "Mademoiselle, I would be delighted to go to the ball with you, but I am already engaged to a stunning and radiant girl whom I cannot refuse. I'm not saying you're not stunning either! You are a diamond in the rough, a—"
"The only reason Nami agreed to go with you is that her girlfriend got a fever," Usopp deadpanned, cutting through the romantic fog. "And you've been unbearable all week because of it."
Nancy sighed, her shoulders slumping. "Poor Vivi. I hope she gets well soon. What a shame, she seemed so excited about the dress."
"Why don't you just go with Zoro?" Luffy asked, digging into a bag of chips. "He's strong. He can carry your purse or whatever."
"That mosshead isn't suitable for Nancy's charming elegance," Sanji countered with a contemptuous glare.
"I tried asking him," Nancy muttered, her voice dripping with defeat. "But he says he’s too busy with football team training."
"Coach Mihawk must be very strict this year," Usopp commented, shuddering at the thought of the man’s piercing, hawklike gaze. "I heard he made the team run laps until three of them started to see visions of the afterlife."
"Forget it," Nancy sighed, picking up her die and rolling it listlessly. "It’s hopeless. Let’s just kill the dragon or die in this stupid dungeon. It’s a fitting metaphor for my life."
The dice rattled across the table, but before they could settle, the very foundation of the house seemed to shudder.
THRAAANNGGG.
A sudden, thunderous roar erupted from the floor above—not of a dragon, but of an overdriven vacuum tube amplifier. A shrill, high-pitched guitar riff sliced through the ceiling, a jagged streak of bluesy distortion that vibrated in Nancy’s chest. It was loud, chaotic, and utterly arrogant.
Suddenly, her sour expression vanished, replaced by a secret, traitorous warmth that flooded her cheeks. She knew that specific, messy pentatonic scale. She knew the heavy-handed vibrato.
It was him.
“ACE! GOD-FUCKING-DAMN IT!"
A roar of vitriolic indignation erupted from the kitchen, a thunderous sound that seemed to rattle the very plates in the cupboards. It could be none other than Garp, Luffy's fearsome grandfather, a man as tall as a tower with whom was better not mess around. “I HAVE TOLD YOU A THOUSAND TIMES TO TAKE THAT FUCKING ELECTRICAL RACKET TO THE JUNKYARD WHERE IT BELONGS! IF I HEAR ONE MORE FUCKING NOTE, I’M GOING TO PERSONALLY ENSURE THAT FUCKING GUITAR SPENDS THE NIGHT LODGED IN THE DRYWALL! DO YOU HEAR ME, YOU LITTLE SHIT?!”
The response was instantaneous, drifting down from the second floor with equal parts grit and youthful defiance. “I WASN'T EVEN PLAYING THAT LOUD, OLD MAN! PERHAPS IF YOU TURNED DOWN YOUR HEARING AID, YOU’D APPRECIATE THE EVOLUTION OF ROCK AND ROLL! GO TO THE FUCKING ASYLUM AND LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE, YOU OLD BASTARD".
While Usopp and Sanji sat paralyzed—caught in the crossfire of a familial war they were far too polite to engage in—Luffy simply dissolved into a fit of breathless giggles.
He slumped against the sofa, clutching his stomach. “He’s gonna get it now,” Luffy wheezed, his eyes bright with mischief. “Gramps is gonna give him the Fist of Love if he doesn’t pipe down.”
The sonic assault of the guitar ceased abruptly, replaced by the rhythmic, heavy thud of footsteps descending the stairs.
Ace emerged into the living room, muttering a string of colorful curses under his breath, his brow furrowed in a scowl that did little to mask the innate warmth of his features. Nancy felt the air leave her lungs in a slow, agonizing hiss. She had known him for six years—had watched him grow from a lanky, wimpy teenager into the stunning 20 years old young man standing before her—and yet, the sight of him still hit her with the force of a physical blow as if it were the first time she had seen him.
He was wearing a threadbare white tank top that hung loosely from his frame, the fabric stretching over the broad expanse of his shoulders and dipping low enough to reveal the sharp, athletic lines of his lower abdominals as he idly scratched his stomach. His hair was a chaotic crown of ink-black curls, sweat-damp and sticking to his forehead, while the constellation of freckles across his sun-kissed cheeks seemed to glow in the light of the room.
Nancy felt the heat climb her neck, a vivid crimson tide she couldn't suppress. Beside her, Usopp cleared his throat with unnecessary volume, and Sanji’s eyes narrowed as he flicked his gaze between her flushed face and the oblivious little brother.
They knew. It was hard not to know. The only one who didn't was Luffy, nut nobody was surprised; he was so stupid he didn't even notice the weather.
Ace marched toward the kitchen, his hunger apparently outweighing his annoyance as he searched for some snacks. “Stupid old man. Hope you get sent to the asylum soon,” he grumbled, though his eyes brightened when he saw the group.
“Hey, Ace!” Luffy called out, leaning over the back of the sofa. “Was that for the band? Rehearsing for ‘the Whitebeards’ big debut?”
Ace paused, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. The Whitebeards were a ragtag collection of neighborhood outcasts and dreamers—a group most would dismiss as losers—but to Ace, they were the start of something monumental.
“Something like that. Marco’s been riding my ass about the bridge in the third track. Says I’m too ‘flashy.’ As if that’s a thing.”
He crossed the room in three strides, leaning over Sanji and deftly plucking the smoldering cigarette from the blonde boy's fingers. “No smoking in the house. You want Gramps to smell that and skin us alive?"
With a casual flick of his wrist, Ace extinguished the cigarette in an empty soda can. He turned his gaze toward Nancy, his smile softening into something dangerously charming. “Hey, Nancy. Cool shirt. Foo Fighters? Heard two or three songs."
“They're... They're pretty neat. Dave Grohl is a genius,” she managed, her voice a pitch higher than she intended.
“I'll try listening to them more, then,” Ace chuckled, leaning against the doorframe. He scanned the table, the cluttered maps and polyhedral dice catching the light. “What’cha doing? Playing one of your geeky games? Cool.”
“We’re actually packing it up,” Usopp said, his voice laced with the exhaustion of a man who had been defeated by his own players. “The campaign is in shambles, and frankly, it’s best to call it a day before Luffy tries to eat the scenery.”
“Yeah,” Nancy added, her tone dripping with a dry, self-deprecating laughter. “We were all going to die in that dungeon anyway. It's for the better”
“DOES IT SOUND FUNNY TO YOU?!” Usopp shouted, throwing his hands up in mock despair.
The oldest boy let out a genuine, booming laugh that echoed in the small space, and Nancy found herself smiling back, her previous gloom momentarily banished by the gravity of his presence.
“Tell you what,” Ace said, jingling a set of keys he pulled from his pocket. “If you guys are heading out, I’ll give you a lift.”
“That’s right!” Luffy yelled, flopping back onto the sofa cushions with a dramatic groan. "Ace got the license officially last week. After fifteen tries—"
Ace's hand immediately covered Luffy's ill-advised mouth. "Nobody needs to know how many tries it took".
“Man, that would be great,” Nancy said between giggles. “Thanks, Ace.”
The room became a flurry of activity—bags being zipped, jackets being donned. The group of teenagers filed out toward the front door, the evening air beginning to cool the house. Ace led the way, his stride confident and rhythmic.
Only Luffy remained, stretched out across the sofa like a discarded marionette.
“Aren’t you coming, Lu?” Ace asked, pausing at the door.
“Nah,” he groaned in response, closing his eyes. “I’m too lazy. The sofa has claimed me."
The others walked out, but as Nancy reached the threshold, Luffy’s voice, uncharacteristically soft, called her back.
“Nance.”
She paused, looking back at her best friend. He was looking at her with a lopsided, weary smile that lacked his usual frantic energy.
“Don’t be mad at me, okay?” he said. “I’ll treat you to a double-berry smoothie tomorrow after practice. The one from the overpriced café at the mall you like so much.”
Nancy felt a pang of affection that momentarily dulled the sting of the dance. She leaned against the doorframe, a small, genuine smile touching her lips. “You better. With extra whipped cream."
“Deal,” he chirped.
Nancy stepped out into the night, the cool breeze hitting her heated skin as she followed the sound of Ace’s laughter toward the waiting car.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
The interior of Ace’s beat-up hatchback was a sensory overload: the pervasive scent of pine-shaped air fresheners struggling against the musk of old leather, a dashboard cluttered with cassette tapes, and the low, rhythmic thrum of the engine that felt like a heartbeat beneath their feet.
Nancy sat in the passenger seat, her pulse still erratic, acutely aware of Ace’s hand resting casually on the gear shift just inches from her knee.
In the back, Usopp and Sanji were squeezed together, their presence a comforting, if slightly suffocating, buffer.
“So,” the older one began, his voice cutting through the ambient hum of the tires. “I could hear you guys all the way from upstairs. Sounded like a damn riot in the living room. What was the heated debate about? Anything juicy?”
Nancy froze. She stared straight ahead through the windshield, her eyes widening in a silent, agonizing plea that she hoped Usopp could read through the back of her skull. Don’t you dare, she thought, her knuckles whitening as she gripped her bag.
Ignoring the palpable radiation of Nancy’s panic, Usopp leaned forward, his voice dripping with a mix of mischief and mock-sympathy. “Oh, you know. Just the tragedy of the century. Nancy here has been left high and dry for the Prom. No partner, no plan, just a lot of brooding and threats to burn the gym down.”
Ace’s head tilted slightly, his brows knitting together in genuine confusion. He glanced briefly toward Nancy before returning his eyes to the road. “No partner? You? What kind of nonsense is that?”
Nancy let out a sharp, defensive breath, her face heating up. “I hadn't planned on going, okay? It’s a ridiculous, over-hyped ritual. And your TRAITOR of a brother was supposed to be my partner-in-crime for the ‘Anti-Prom’ movement. But apparently, all it takes is the 'empress of the school' inviting him to dinner to make him flip on his principles. Now everyone is going, and I’m just... the leftover.”
Ace let out a rich, booming laugh that filled the small cabin, shaking his head. “Seriously, man? Well, that sounds like Luffy. The guy would join a cult if they promised him a decent buffet. But hey, don’t let him get to you. He’s a total bonehead.” He settled back into his seat, a nostalgic, slightly lopsided smile playing on his lips. “Oh, I remember my Prom. What a trip. Memories for days.”
He shifted gears, his expression softening as if looking into the past. “I went with the whole band—The Whitebeards—just a bunch of us causing trouble. We managed to spike the punch with enough vodka to fuel a jet engine; what a show it was. And, of course, I went with that girlfriend at the time... the one I had that spectacular train wreck of a breakup with a while back.”
Nancy’s chest tightened. She remembered. She remembered every agonizing afternoon three years ago when she’d go to Luffy’s house only to find that girl draped over Ace’s shoulder, laughing at jokes Nancy didn't understand. She remembered the sharp, cold needle of jealousy that had defined her fourteenth year.
“You should have accepted when I asked you back then, Nancy,” Sanji interjected from the back, his voice thick with a fake, tragic longing. “We could have been the talk of the town. A knight and his lady.”
“You asked every single girl with a pulse in a three-mile radius, Sanji,” Nancy retorted, her voice snapping back with its usual bite. “Don’t fuck around.”
The car lapsed into a momentary silence, the neon sign of a passing 7-Eleven washing over them in a blur of crimson and green. Then, with his eyes fixed steadily on the dark road ahead, Ace spoke, his tone casual yet strangely resonant.
“Well, if it’s such a crisis... why don’t you just go with me?”
The world seemed to stop. Nancy’s breath hitched in her throat, her entire body locking into a state of stunned paralysis. She didn't move; she didn't even blink. Behind her, she could practically feel the physical weight of Usopp and Sanji’s gazes burning into the back of her neck—wide-eyed, knowing, and utterly electrified. A muffled, high-pitched giggle escaped Usopp, followed quickly by the sound of Sanji desperately trying to turn a snort into a cough.
“But... but...” Nancy stammered, the crimson on her cheeks now reaching a fever pitch. “Are you even allowed? I mean, you graduated years ago. Wouldn't it be... weird?”
“As if all those stuck-up mean girls didn't bring their college boyfriends to flex. Of course I can go! It’ll be a blast,” Ace said, his grin widening as he glanced at her. “Man, I haven’t seen Principal Newgate in ages. I wonder if the old man is still as terrifying as I remember. I’d love to see his face when I roll up to the front doors.”
Nancy remained silent for a few heartbeats, her brain frantically trying to process the invitation. It was the thing she had dreamt of since she was twelve, delivered with the casual ease of an offer for a soda. She took a breath, forcing her muscles to relax, despite the fact that her heart was currently sprinting.
“Fine,” she said, her voice steadying. “If you’re sure you want to subject yourself to a high school gym smelling like cheap cologne and hormones again, I guess I can let you escort me.”
“That’s the spirit,” Ace chuckled.
The car stopped twice more. First at Usopp’s house, then at Sanji’s. Both boys lingered for a second, flashing Nancy grins that were so loaded with with unspoken commentary and "We'll-talk-about-this-later" energy that she wanted to dissolve into the upholstery.
Then, the car was quiet. Just the hum of the engine and the two of them.
“Hey, Ace,” Nancy said softly, looking out the side window as her house came into view. “I don’t mean to be a pain. Really. You don’t have to do this. It was a nice gesture, but it’s a bit silly for a guy like you to spend a Friday night with a bunch of teenagers.”
Ace pulled the car to the curb and turned off the ignition. The silence that followed was heavy but sweet. He turned toward her, a look of gentle, mock-indignation on his face.
“Oh, but I WANT to. I mean it, Nancy,” he insisted, his voice dropping into a sincere, warm register. “I really can’t wrap my head around how you haven’t been snapped up as a partner already. It’s a mystery to me. And it would be a damn shame for you to miss out on the big finale of high school just because Luffy is a flake. You’re a senior! You deserve the whole ridiculous experience.”
Nancy looked at him, her heart aching with a mixture of adoration and a familiar, dull pain. “You’re beyond help,” she joked, her voice barely a whisper.
“Don’t worry about me. You’re going to have a great time,” Ace said, reaching out to give her shoulder a friendly, brief squeeze. “How couldn't I do you the favour? You’re my little brother’s best friend. And by extension, you’re my friend too.”
Nancy forced a smile, though his words felt like a physical weight in her chest. Friend. The word was a safety net for him and a cage for her. “Yeah... friend.”
"Besides," Ace added, a mischievous glint dancing in his dark eyes as he leaned slightly closer, "out of all Luffy's band of misfits, you've always been my favorite. Don't tell the others, they'll get jealous."
Nancy couldn't help it; she giggled, her face flushing a deep, radiant pink. "Your secret is safe with me."
She opened the door and stepped out into the cool night air. Ace rolled down the passenger window, resting his tanned, freckled arm on the frame as he looked up at her, the streetlamp casting long shadows across his face.
“Thanks a lot, Ace. You’re the best,” she said, clutching her bag to her chest.
“No biggie,” Ace responded, his eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. “I’ll pick you up at seven on Friday. Get a nice dress, okay?”
He gave her a quick, devastating wink, shifted the car into gear, and pulled away, leaving Nancy standing on the sidewalk in the silence of the night, her heart loud enough to wake the neighbors.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
The fluorescent hum of the Grand Line High hallways seemed to pulse in synchronization with the group’s collective euphoria. Against the battered, dented metal of the lockers, Nancy found herself the epicenter of a social earthquake.
Usopp had a proprietary arm slung around her shoulder, shaking her with the manic energy of a man who had just witnessed a miracle, while Nami stood opposite them, her books forgotten on the floor, her eyes wide with a mixture of shock and vicarious triumph.
"I cannot—I literally cannot—process this information," Nami declared, her voice rising above the cacophony of slamming lockers and distant bell chimes. "Nancy, you’ve been sighing for Ace since the freshman orientation. This isn’t just a date; this is the event of the century!"
Nancy felt the heat radiating from her collar, a pulsating crimson that threatened to swallow her whole. "Guys, please, keep it down! It’s not... it’s not a 'date' date. He’s just being a nice guy. He’s doing me a favor, and—"
"Don't you dare diminish this with that self-deprecating 'just friends' nonsense. You've been pining for that freckled god since we were wearing braces. Own the moment!" Usopp barked, grinning ear to ear.
The conversation was abruptly punctuated by a kinetic whirlwind. Luffy appeared out of the crowd like a cannonball, his long limbs wrapping around Nancy in a hug so exuberant it nearly sent them both sprawling onto the linoleum.
"NANCY!" he roared into her ear, his smile radiating a brightness that could rival the stadium lights. "Ace told me this morning! He’s actually coming! My best friend and my brother at the same party? This is going to be the best night of my life! We’re going to eat so much cake and dance together and...!"
The sheer, pure innocence of his joy was almost physically painful. Nami, however, did not share his blissful ignorance. With the practiced precision of a seasoned enforcer, she reached out and snagged the back of Luffy’s collar, hauling him back until he was eye-level with her simmering fury.
"Listen to me, you air-headed menace," Nami hissed, her eyes narrowing into predatory slits. “If you so much as think about sticking your nose into their business on Friday night—if you interrupt them, if you ask for a bite of their food, or if you act like your usual, oblivious self—I will personally ensure you spend the rest of senior year in a locker. Don't you dare to interfere. Do you understand?”
Luffy blinked, his head tilting in that classic gesture of profound confusion. "Interfere? With what? We're all just going to hang out, right?"
"Oh, they'll be doing more than hanging out," Sanji interjected, leaning against a locker with a look of pure, unrefined mischief. He adjusted his tie, his gaze drifting toward Nancy with a smirk that suggested he knew exactly how many heartbeats she was skipping. "I’m putting my money on Ace and Nancy reaching first base by the time the slow songs start.”
Nancy’s brain felt like it was short-circuiting. "Sanji, I will kill you. I will actually end your life."
"First base? Please," Usopp scoffed, emboldened by the chaos. “Sanji, you underestimate the man. Ace has been out in the real world. He’s aiming for the second base!"
Nami let go of Luffy’s collar, a wicked, playful glint entering her eyes. She stepped into Nancy’s personal space, lowering her voice to a conspiratorial murmur that carried just enough weight to be devastating.
"And what about third base?" she whispered, making a subtle, unmistakable gesture with her hands—forming a small circle with the index finger and thumb of one hand and sliding her other index finger through it with a slow, suggestive rhythm.
The sound that left Nancy’s throat was less of a word and more of a strangled, high-pitched scream of pure mortification. She slammed her hands over her face, her voice muffled by her palms. "SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU, JUST SHUT THE FULL FRONT DOOR AND SHUT UP!"
Luffy stood in the center of the storm, his brow furrowed in genuine, agonizing perplexity. "Wait... why are you guys talking about bases? Are Ace and Nance going to play baseball? In a dress? I don’t understand."
Usopp and Sanji collapsed into a fit of raucous, doubled-over laughter, while Nami simply slapped her forehead with a resounding thwack. Nancy let out a long, shuddering sigh, her hands still shielding her burning cheeks from the world.
"Alright, enough teasing," Nami said, suddenly switching into the fashion dictator that Nancy feared so much. The playful glint vanished, replaced by the steely determination of a girl with a mission. "We have a much more important mission. We need to get you a dress. Not just any dress—the most stunning, outrageous dress ever."
Nancy dropped her hands, her expression falling into a grimace of defeat. "Nami, the ball is tomorrow. Tomorrow! Every boutique in the city is picked over. All that’s left are the puffy-sleeved monstrosities that look like '70s bridesmaid gowns."
Nami went quiet for a moment, her eyes darting back and forth as her mental gears turned. A thoughtful, gentle smile finally graced her lips. “I have an idea. A perfect one.”
"What?" Nancy asked.
"Vivi's dress," Nami said, her voice growing more confident. "She’s devastated that she’s too sick to go, and she’s been staring at that dress in her closet for weeks. You two are basically the same size, give or take an inch. She’d be thrilled to see it actually get its moment in the spotlight. It’s elegant, it’s stunning, and it’s sitting right there, waiting for a wearer."
Nancy hesitated, the thought of the beautiful, shimmering gown she’d seen Vivi describe over the phone swirling in her head. "Are you sure? I wouldn't want to... I don't know, feel like I'm stealing her night."
"Nancy," Nami said, grabbing her hands with uncharacteristic gentleness. "Vivi loves you. Seeing you go with Ace in her dress? That’s not stealing—that’s a victory for the whole group. Let’s go. We’re going to Vivi’s after school."
"Okay..." She replied reluctantly. "But I hope it doesn't take too long. That bastard Luffy still owes me a smoothie."

It was... weird. The mirror in the foyer of Nancy’s modest suburban home felt less like a reflective surface and more like a portal into an alternative reality. Staring back at her was a vision in electric blue—a dress of cascading ruffles and shimmering flower-patterned silk that belonged to a girl who moved through the world with far more grace than Nancy felt she possessed.
She could still feel the phantom pressure of the previous afternoon’s cosmetic siege. Nami and Vivi, despite the latter’s staggering forty-degree fever, had descended upon Nancy with a ferocity usually reserved for war room stratagems.
The girl recalled the scent of Vivi’s prohibitively expensive nail polish—a deep, pearlescent shade—as Nami meticulously painted her nails, ignoring Nancy’s protests that she would likely chip them within the hour. They had sifted through an avalanche of accessories, discarding necklaces and earrings like dross until, amidst the chaos of glitter and gold, they found it: a delicate, indigo flower hair clip that tucked perfectly behind her ear, pulling the entire ensemble into a coherent, breathtaking whole.
Now, with a face full of expertly applied makeup—shadows that made her eyes look like deep pools of obsidian and a lip tint that felt unnervingly sophisticated—Nancy felt like an alien. A really pretty alien, though.
It was 6:58 PM. The countdown to her heart’s inevitable detonation had begun.
Downstairs, the floorboards groaned under the weight of a man whose emotions were as grand as his facial hair. Vista, Nancy’s father, paced the living room, his magnificent, curled mustache twitching with every frantic breath. When Nancy finally descended the stairs, the sound of her heels clicking against the wood, Vista froze. His eyes, usually sharp and discerning, welled up with a tidal wave of fatherly pride.
"Oh, my dear, sweet rosebud!" her father’s voice cracked from the hallway. He was currently a spectacle of paternal melodrama, clutching a damp handkerchief as if he were mourning the loss of her childhood in real-time. “You’re growing up so fast. Look at you! You’re a princess. I never thought I’d see the day you’d trade oversized t-shirts for... for this. Your mother would be so proud. That red hair styled in waves looks just as good on you as it did on her....”
“Dad, please,” Nancy murmured with a smile, her cheeks flushing beneath the foundation. “I'm glad you feel happy for me, but it’s just a dance. Don’t make it into a Shakespearean tragedy.”
That imposing man's teary-eyed sentimentality evaporated with the suddenness of a lightning strike, as he rolled up his sleeves. “That boy... that hoolingan Ace... I've never liked him. If that thug so much as breathes on you the wrong way, or if he brings you home one second past curfew with so much as a ruffle out of place, he is going to die a slow, agonizing death. My swords are sharpened just in case, Nancy. I’m not joking.”
"Yes, I know, Dad..."
The doorbell chimed—a sharp, crystalline sound that sent a jolt of pure electricity through Nancy’s spine. Her heart didn't just leap; it somersaulted into her throat.
She opened the door, and the world seemed to tilt on its axis.
There stood Ace, and Nancy forgot how to breath for a few agonizing seconds.
He had managed to strike the impossible balance between formal elegance and his trademark disheveled aura. He wore a black suit jacket that sat perfectly across his broad shoulders, but beneath it, he had opted for a vibrant red and orange patterned shirt—unbuttoned just enough to reveal the hollow of his throat and sun-kissed beginning of his chest, and notably devoid of anything as restrictive as a tie. His dark hair was still a wild, artful mess of curls, and that crooked, effortless grin was firmly in place.
He was devastating.
Nancy was momentarily robbed of speech. She felt the sudden, desperate urge to hide behind the door, yet she couldn't tear her eyes away from the sight of him.
Am I dreaming?
“Well, well,” Ace drawled, his voice a low, gravelly hum that vibrated in her chest. He leaned against the doorframe, his eyes sweeping over her with a look of genuine, unfiltered appreciation. “The carriage is waiting, Princess."
She found her voice, though it was breathier than she intended. "You look... you actually cleaned up, Ace. I’m impressed."
"I have my moments," he said, stepping closer.
Nancy’s breath caught as he reached into his jacket pocket. With a surprising gentleness, he took her hand and slid a corsage onto her wrist—a single, vibrant blue flower that matched her dress with uncanny precision. Only then did she notice the identical flower pinned to his lapel as a brooch.
“You’ve thought of everything, haven't you?” Nancy managed to say, her voice slightly breathless.
"I have some experience going to proms, I guess," Ace joked, giving her a quick, knowing wink. "I know how the ritual goes."
“A PICTURE! I MUST TAKE A PICTURE!” Vista's voice boomed from the shadows of the hallway, startling them both. He stepped forward with a camera clutched in his trembling hands. “Back up! Both of you! Get close together. I need evidence... I mean, a memento.”
Ace chuckled, pulling Nancy into his side. The heat of his body through the suit jacket was intoxicating. Nancy felt the brush of his arm against hers, a sensation so potent it made her lightheaded. They stood there, blinded by the flash of the camera, a frozen moment of borrowed glamour.
As the flash faded, the man with the moustache stepped toward Ace, pointing a gnarled finger at his chest. “Listen well, Portgas. You have the most precious thing in this house in your care. I have polished my blades this afternoon. If I find out you’ve been anything less than a perfect gentleman, I assure you that you will never walk again. I know where you live. I know your grandfather. Just saying.”
Ace didn't flinch. He simply offered a playful, two-finger salute, his grin widening. “Don’t worry, Mr. Vista. I’ll have Cinderella back before the clock strikes twelve, and I’ll even make sure she keeps both her glass slippers.”
As they walked away, Vista stood on the porch, sobbing, waving his handkerchief and shouting final warnings about the speed limit and the sanctity of his daughter’s honor. Ace opened the passenger door for her with a flourish, the mischievous glint back in his eyes.
"I've always really liked your dad," Ace said, laughing as he climbed into the driver's seat. "He has such a grand sense of humor. Truly, he's the best."
"Yeah... humor. Let's go with that," she sighed, settling into the seat. The electric blue of her dress spilled over the dark interior like a crashing ocean wave.

Ace had swapped his usual bluesy riffs for a cassette of snarling, high-octane punk, the distorted bass rattling the glove box as they sped toward the high school. He hummed along, his fingers dancing a rhythmic, restless pace against the steering wheel to the frantic beat.
A bright laugh escaped Nancy. "I’m serious, Ace! I still find it absolutely incredible that a grown-ass guy agreed to go to a high school ball. You’re such a dork for this."
Ace glanced at her, his eyes flashing with a playful, wicked glint. "Would you prefer that I provide you with the full catalog of 'Luffy’s Brothers' so you can select the one you like best? If you, miss, are not satisfied with the 'Ace Model,' we can always switch to the 'Sabo edition'. I'm sure he’d love to drive across three state lines from his campus just to be your second choice."
Nancy laughed, the sound bright and genuine, and reached over to give his arm a light, playful punch. "Shut up! You know that's not what I meant."
As the tape hissed for a fraction of a second, a legendary, jagged guitar riff tore through the speakers. Nancy perked up. "Wait, I know this. Who are they? The Sex Pistols?"
"Smart girl," he responded, a look of genuine pride crossing his freckled face. "This is Anarchy in the UK."
The song built, the tension in the music coiling like a spring until it finally kicked. Ace, lost in the visceral thrill of the sound, seemed to forget he was driving a car. He began to headbang violently as he tapped out an imaginary, frantic drum kit on the steering wheel.
"IIIIII AAAAM AN ANTICHRIST!" Ace roared at the top of his lungs, punctuating the lyrics by slamming his palm against the wheel. "IIII AAAM AN ANARCHIST!"
In his fervor, the car gave a sudden, violent lurch to the left, crossing the yellow line. The blare of a horn from an oncoming sedan shattered the moment, the sound of the screeching tires echoing in the small cabin.
"ACE!" Nancy screamed, her voice a pitch higher than the music. "THE FUCKING ROAD! LOOK AT THE FUCKING ROAD!"
"Whoops. Sorry. My bad," he muttered, as he yanked the wheel back, the car swerving back into the lane with a sickening sway of the suspension.
Despite Ace’s questionable commitment to road safety, the illuminated facade of Grand Line High eventually appeared through the windshield. The parking lot was a sea of limousines, borrowed family vans, and teenagers in various states of formal disarray.
As Ace killed the engine, the sudden silence felt heavy and profound. Groups of students paused in their tracks as the infamous 'Fire Fist' (known by that name because they say he once punched a guy who was messing with his brother and left his face burning) came to a halt, whispers rippling through the crowd like wind through wheat.
"Is that... Ace?" "Who's he with?" "Is that Nancy?"
Nancy felt the weight of a thousand eyes. Without thinking, she pushed open the door and began to walk toward the gym, her heels clicking nervously against the asphalt.
"Whoa, whoa. Slow down there, speed racer."
The sound of his voice stopped her in her tracks. She turned around to see Ace walking toward her, the light from the gymnasium casting his shadow long across the ground.
"Where are you going in such a hurry?" he said, stepping into her personal space, "If we're going to do this, we have to do it properly. You didn't put on that dress to walk in five paces ahead of me."
Ace offered his arm, bending it at the elbow in a gallant, traditional gesture.
"We have a role to fulfill."
Nancy stared at his arm, then up at him, the crimson tide returning to her cheeks with a vengeance. She hesitated, her heart performing a frantic rhythm against her ribs. But then, looking into his steady, encouraging eyes, she took a shallow breath and slid her hand into the crook of his arm.

The high school gym, usually a place of squeaking sneakers and the smell of floor wax, had been meticulously transformed into a ‘Starry Night’ pastiche. Draped swathes of midnight-blue velvet obscured the bleachers, illuminated by thousands of fairy lights that twinkled with a delicate, fragile brilliance, reflecting off the polished hardwood.
Every soul was there, dressed to the nines. Even the teachers had gone to the trouble of dressing in their finest clothes. No one was missing: not even Principal Newgate himself. Neither Coach Mihawk, serious and with his arms crossed, who was having a one-sided conversation with the impatient Professor Crocodile of economics, who kept his eyes glued to his enormous gold watch as if he was dying to get the hell out of that place.
Near the punch bowl, the social hierarchy of the faculty was on full display.
"Nancy! Look at you!" Nami’s voice pierced the din. She sashayed over, her own dress a masterpiece of sleek pastel orange silk, dragging a preening Sanji behind her. She did a dramatic lap around Nancy, adjusting a stray ruffle with practiced flair. "I told you it was destiny. It’s a tragedy my Vivi isn't here to see how radiant her blue dress looks on you. Right, Ace? Doesn't she look like incredible?"
"Incredible doesn't quite cover it," he said, his voice dropping into a low, sincere register that made Nancy’s stomach do a slow, dizzying roll. "She’s definitely the best-looking thing in this gym. Hottest shits in this prom, yes we are."
Is he just saying that? Nancy’s internal monologue screamed, a frantic mix of skepticism and hope. He’s a performer. He knows how to play the part. Don't fall for the script, Nancy. But god, the way he’s looking at me...
Luffy materialized from the crowd like a projectile, nearly upending a tray of cookies as he collided with Ace and Nancy in a crushing embrace. “ACE! NANCE! You guys made it! This is so cool! Ace, did you see the buffet? They have those little hot do—”
Before Luffy could finish his sentence, Nami’s hand shot out, seizing the back of his collar. “Moving along, Luffy! We discussed this. Five seconds are up.”
“But I wanted to show Ace the punch bowl!” Luffy protested as he was dragged away.
“Interfere and die, Luffy!” Nami’s voice drifted back, sharp and final.
Ace turned back to Nancy, his eyes sparking with a familiar, devious light as he surveyed the refreshment table. “Cool! They have punch! You know, back in my day, we had a tradition for these things. What if I just… ”
"Don’t you even think about it, Portgas D. Ace" Nancy interjected, pointing a manicured finger at him. "No vodka this time."
Ace threw his head back and laughed, a rich, vibrant sound that made the nearby sophomores turn in envy. “Caught red-handed. Fine, fine. I’ll be a good boy. Let me at least get us two cups of the non-lethal stuff. Stay right here.”
As soon as Ace’s suit jacket disappeared into the throng, the 'Gossip Trio'—Usopp, Sanji, and Nami—closed in instantly, their faces twisted into masks of frantic, whispered excitement.
Usopp began to mime kissing with his hands as a way of mocking her.
"I am going to kill all of you," Nancy muttered, though she couldn't stop the blush from deepening. "He’s just being nice. It’s a pity-date."
"Pity doesn't look like that," Sanji said, exhaling a plume of smoke (having ignored the 'No Smoking' signs with Gallic indifference). "We saw it. The way he looked at you when you got out of that car... I don't think he's ever looked at you like that before."
"Either you're stupid, or you refuse to realize it", Nami added. "Did you see his face? That wasn't the 'favour-for-Luffy' face. That was the 'Oh-wow-Nancy-is-actually-a-woman' face."
"Code Red! He’s coming back! Scatter!", Usopp then hissed.
As Ace returned with two sloshing cups of neon-pink punch, the group vanished into the crowd with such synchronized speed it was almost supernatural.
"Hey, it's not that bad. It tastes like melted popsicles and tap water." Ace said, handing her a cup.
Confused, the boy then looked around. "Where'd the welcoming committee go?" he asked. But before she could answer, the speakers erupted with a high-energy, drum-heavy beat. Ace’s face transformed, a look of pure, unadulterated joy spreading across his freckles.
"God, I love this song! We are not wasting this beat. Let's go!"
The song was an upbeat, infectious anthem, and, as Ace set his cup down on a nearby table, he grabbed Nancy’s hand, and pulled her toward the center of the floor.
They plunged into the sea of moving bodies, and to her surprise, Ace wasn't trying to be cool or suave. He was being a complete dork. He started doing a ridiculous, exaggerated shimmy, his arms flailing in a way that was half-rockstar, half-toddler-on-sugar.
She looked away for a second, catching Usopp’s eye across the gym. He was leaning against a wall, a smug, supportive smile on his face as he gave her a frantic, double-thumbs-up. Nancy snarled at him, mouthing the words 'Go fuck yourself,' but when she turned back to Ace, the snarl dissolved.
Ace had spun in a small circle, his eyes locking onto hers, his laughter audible over the music. "What are you looking at?"
"What the fuck is that?", Nancy shouted back between laughter. "You're embarrassing me!"
"Good! That’s what I’m here for!" Ace reached out, grabbing both her hands and swinging them in time with the song. "Life’s too short to look cool at Prom, Nancy!"
In that moment, under the spinning disco ball and the watchful eyes of her friends, Nancy stopped thinking about 'favors' and 'pity'.
I don't care if tomorrow I'm just the 'little brother's best friend' again. Right now, I'm the girl he's holding onto. And for tonight, that has to be enough.
After a while of a pop hits DJ session, the disco ball slowed its frantic spin, casting long, lazy flecks of silver across the blue velvet drapes. The first few notes of a melancholic ballad drifted from the speakers—acoustic guitar and a soft piano—and Nancy felt the air leave her lungs.
No. No. No. Fuck.
The moment she had dreaded most that night had arrived.
This was the moment of truth.
"I’ll be honest," he said with a gentle, lopsided smile. "Slow dancing isn’t exactly my thing. But... I think we can try it. If you're game?"
Nancy let out a shaky chuckle, her fingers trembling as she placed her hand in his. "I don't really know what I'm doing, Ace. I’ve mostly just watched movies."
"Me neither, but I vaguely remember the drill. I think I can figure out the mechanics," he murmured. He stepped closer, the heat of him cutting through the cool gym air. "First... I think I'm supposed to do this."
He placed his hand firmly but gently on the small of her back, the silk of Vivi's dress sliding under his palm as he pulled her closer. Nancy’s breath hitched. He took her other hand, interlacing their fingers, and began to move with a slow, swaying rhythm.
"There," he whispered. "One step, then the other. Just follow me. If I accidentally step on you, you have permission to punch me. Don't think about the feet, Nancy. Just... stay here."
Stay here, her mind echoed. As if I could be anywhere else. Her heart was drumming a frantic, irregular beat against her ribs, so loud she was sure he could feel it through the black fabric of his jacket.
As they began to move, the world outside the two of them ceased to exist. The gym, the teachers, the lingering eyes of their friends—it all blurred into a background of static.
"You're actually a pretty good teacher," Nancy said, trying to find her voice through the haze of her own nerves.
"I guess so," Ace replied. He was quiet for a moment, his gaze drifting over her face as if memorizing the way she looked in the blue light.
"It's weird," he added after a moment. "Seeing you like this. Finishing school, the dress, the whole 'senior' thing. When did you guys get so grown up? I feel like last year, you and Luffy were still playing video games in the basement while I went downstairs to steal your sweets."
"Everything changed so fast," Nancy admitted, her voice barely a whisper against the fabric of his lapel. "It’s actually terrifying. Everyone expects me to know who I’m going to be next month. But I have no idea. I’m scared that once I walk across that stage, I’m just going to be... lost. I'm scared of the real world."
Ace was silent for a beat, his hand on her waist tightening slightly as if to anchor her. "Girl, I'm 20 years old, I'm unemployed and I play guitar in a lousy garage band. The real world is overrated. But you? You aren't going to get lost. You’re the smartest person I know. You’ve been the one keeping us all grounded for six years. If anything, the world should be scared of you."
"You think so?" she looked up at him, her throat tight. "I don't know, Ace... Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck between being an adult and being a kid forever."
"You're not a kid, Nancy," Ace countered. "Not tonight. Not for a long while now, if I'm being honest. I see a wonderful woman who’s finally stepping into her own light. And it's almost intimidating, though."
He gave a short, self-deprecating laugh.
"I'm actually glad Luffy was a stupid, traitorous idiot. If he hadn't flaked, I wouldn't be here with you. I'd be at home, probably burning toast and wondering why the house felt so quiet. But here we are, talking like two actual adults.
Nancy’s heart skipped. "You really see me like that? As an adult?"
"I think I’ve been trying not to see it for a while," Ace confessed, his voice dropping to a low, husky rasp. "Because you were always 'little Nance.' I was the 'cool old brother'. But then, I see you like this... and I realize the scenery has changed. I’ve always had fun with you, and I’ve always liked you, but it’s like... our actual moment just finally arrived. We're finally on the same page."
"And what happens on this page?" she whispered, her courage mounting.
"I think we stop pretending I only came here as a favor," he replied softly.
A sudden, heavy silence fell between them, despite the music. The gym seemed to dissolve until it was just two people in a circle of blue light. Ace’s eyes sparkled, mesmerized, a slow, dazed smile spreading across his face. Nancy reached out, her fingers brushing the fabric of his shirt. Beneath it, she felt it—a thrumming, frantic rhythm.
His heart, she realized with a jolt of electricity. It’s beating as fast as mine.
It was a sign. A green light. A voice inside her, loud and clear, told her that if she didn't do it now, she’d spend the next sixty years wondering 'what if.'
Nancy shifted her hands. She let go of his hand and his shoulder, instead gently reaching up to cup Ace's face.
And at that very moment, the girl dared to do what she believed was unthinkable, unreal, only possible in her fantasies.
She kissed him.
It was soft at first, a tentative question asked in the dark. But Ace didn't hesitate. He returned the kiss with a fervor that suggested he had been waiting for this longer as Nancy expected.
She pulled away for a fraction of a second, her brain finally processing the magnitude of what she had just done. Her face turned a shade of red that rivaled Ace’s shirt, and she felt a wave of sudden, dizzying embarrassment. Ace stood there, stunned, his mouth slightly open and his own face flushed.
He let out a short, nervous laugh, shaking his head as if to clear the cobwebs. "Woah," he breathed. "Brave tonight, aren't we, Nancy?"
Nancy panicked, her hands flying up to cover her mouth as she began to stammer. "I'm sorry. I—I shouldn't have... I didn't want to make it weird, I just—"
A sudden second kiss silenced her again before she could even respond. This one was deeper, more passionate, a claim being staked in the middle of the crowded gymnasium. He tilted his head, his hand sliding from her waist to her chin, his fingers caressing her jawline with a tenderness that made her melt. His other arm wound tightly around her back, pulling her flush against him until she could feel every line of his body.
Nancy let out a soft sigh that dissolved between his lips, tasting of dreams, victory, and cheap cherry punch.
The gym doors had finally closed behind them, the lingering scent of floral hairspray and floor wax replaced by the crisp, biting purity of the midnight air. As the final song faded and the "Starry Night" velvet was unpinned from the walls, Ace had leaned into her ear, his breath warm against her skin. "The night’s still young, and I’m not ready to take Cinderella home yet. I know a spot. No teachers, no gossips. Just us."
They had driven away from the neon glow of the school, climbing the winding, narrow roads that led to the cliffs overlooking the coast. Here, the world was silent, save for the rhythmic, distant crash of the waves against the rocks and the soft whistling of the wind through the tall grass. The city lights were a glittering carpet far below, but above them, the sky was an infinite, velvet expanse of constellations.
Now, they were lying side-by-side on the hood of the hatchback, the metal still ticking as it cooled. Nancy’s electric blue ruffles were bunched around her, and Ace had discarded his suit jacket, his patterned shirt unbuttoned even further in the cool night air. Their fingers were interlaced, palm to palm, anchoring them to the earth.
"I still can't believe this is real," Nancy whispered, her voice barely carrying in the vast stillness. "If you told me this morning that I’d be ending the night on a cliffside with you, after... well, everything... I would have told you to go get a psych evaluation."
"Why?", he asked. "Do you really think I don't have a romantic side?
"I didn't think you'd even notice me like that," Nancy admitted, turning her head to look at his profile. The moonlight caught the bridge of his nose and the curve of his smirk. "I thought it was impossible. I saw the girls you dated in high school. They were all... effortless. Badass. They knew how to walk in heels without looking like a newborn giraffe. I figured I was just the kid who hung out with your brother. The one you’d always see as a child."
Ace turned his head, his dark eyes meeting hers. "I must admit, I was slow on the uptake. My feelings didn't hit me like a lightning bolt—it was more like a slow burn. "
He paused for a moment.
“I think it hit me last summer. Remember when you guys came over to our pool and you were shouting at Usopp because he took your towel without permission? You walked up to me, dripping wet and shivering, and asked if I could lend you one... and I just froze. I suddenly forgot my name. You looked so radiant, so incredible, with your wet hair, in that bikini that was so... god. I kept telling myself, 'No, that’s Luffy’s best friend, don't be a creep.'"
Nancy squeezed his hand, her chest aching with a sweet, heavy relief. "You’re a total bonehead, Ace."
"I’ve been told," he joked. He shifted closer, his shoulder pressing against hers. "So, come on. Truth for truth. How long has this 'crush' been going on for you? Since last summer too? Or maybe the summer before?"
Nancy went tomb-silent. She looked back up at the stars, feeling the heat rise to her neck despite the cool breeze. "Oh, god. Do I really have to say it?"
"Hey, fair is fair," Ace teased, nudging her shoulder with his. "Give me the numbers."
She took a shaky breath. "Six years."
Ace’s thumb stopped moving. "Six years? Nancy, you were what... twelve?"
"I went to Luffy's house to work on a literature project," she said, the words tumbling out now that the dam had broken. "I walked into the living room, and you were sitting on the floor with that beat-up guitar, trying to figure out a Nirvana riff. You didn't even look up at first. You just had this look of total focus, and the sunlight was hitting your hair, and I remember thinking... 'Oh. He’s the coolest person on the planet.' I went home and wrote three pages about it in my diary. It had a lock on it and everything."
"Three pages, huh?" he managed to say, shaking his head. "Six years of me being an absolute moron right in front of you. I feel like I should apologize for taking so long to show up to the party."
"It's fine," Nancy grumbled, though her smile was wide and bright. "I've been able to cope with the seven different girlfriends you've had during that time. It gave me a lot of material for my poetry phase."
"Well, for the record," Ace said, shifting his weight and leaning over her. He propped himself up on one elbow, his face inches from hers, silhouetted against the constellations. "I’m glad you didn't give up on the 'coolest person on the planet.' Because I’m pretty sure I’m the luckiest one right now."
He leaned down, his lips brushing hers in a kiss that was slow, sweet, and tasted of the night air. When he pulled back just an inch, his voice was a low, tender rasp.
"You're adorable, you know that? A diary with a lock. I’m definitely going to have to find that and read it someday."
"Over my dead body, Portgas D. Ace," Nancy whispered, pulling him back down for another kiss.
"We'll see," he murmured against her lips. "There will be time for that later. I've got a lot of lost time to make up for, don't I?"
"I'd say you're off to a good start," she chuckled.
At that very moment, Nancy’s laughter stopped as she felt the gentle touch of Ace’s lips.
His kiss, which had started as a tender promise, shifted into something far more visceral. It deepened, turning heavy and rhythmic, the soft brush of his lips evolving into a wet, hungry demand that Nancy met with an urgency six years in the making.
Her fingers, trembling with a mix of adrenaline and desire, mapped out the familiar yet foreign landscape of his body. She traced the strong cord of his neck, her nails grazing the nape of his hair, before sliding down to the exposed skin of his chest.
Lost in the friction of their tongues and the sheer proximity of him, Nancy felt a surge of boldness. She shifted her weight, hitching her electric blue ruffles up and straddling his lap on the hood of the car. The sudden movement drew a low, guttural groan from Ace’s throat, his large hands immediately finding her waist to steady her, his grip firm and possessive.
Ace eventually pulled back just a fraction of an inch, his eyes dark with a heady mixture of lust and genuine concern. His chest was heaving, his breathing synchronized with hers. He looked at her, really looked at her, his usual playful smirk replaced by a raw, protective intensity.
"Nancy," he rasped, his hands firm on her hips, anchoring her. "Hey, look at me."
She blinked, her lips swollen and her heart hammering against her ribs like a trapped bird.
"I think I know where this may go. I need to know you’re with me on this," he murmured, his voice thick but incredibly gentle. "I’m not just some guy, and this isn't just... whatever. We can go as far as you want tonight, or we can stop right here and just look at the stars and have a silly chat. I’m just happy to have you next to me, okay? You call the shots."
Nancy looked down at him, seeing the fierce protectiveness in his gaze.
"This is all I've ever dreamed about, Ace," she whispered, her voice surprisingly steady despite her nerves. "I don't want to wait anymore. I’m ready. I want... I want to go all the way with you. I want you."
A slow, tender smile broke across Ace’s face, followed by a look of profound, quiet heat. "Okay," he breathed. "Okay."
He leaned up to kiss her again, but this time it was slower, a promise. His hand began a slow, torturous ascent from her waist, sliding under the hem of the blue silk. Nancy gasped as his palm met the bare skin of her inner thigh, his touch calloused and warm. He moved higher, with agonizing patience, until his hand rested firmly over the silk of her underwear. He watched her face closely, his eyes searching hers for even a flicker of doubt.
"You okay? You still sure?" he whispered, his thumb grazing her skin in a way that made her toes curl.
"Yes," she breathed, arching into his touch. "God, yes, Ace."
"Wait," he said softly, breaking the kiss. He glanced toward the dark windows of the car and back to the empty, wind-swept cliffside. "If we’re doing this properly—if it’s your first time—we’re not doing it on a cold piece of metal."
He slid out from under her and hopped off the hood, reaching out to catch her by the waist and swing her down to her feet. He opened the back door of the hatchback, pushing the front seats forward to create a small, private sanctuary.
"Come here," he said. "I know it's not a hotel, but I'll make sure both of us have fun."
Nancy climbed in first, laying back against the upholstery, and Ace followed her, bracing himself on his elbows as he hovered over her, his weight acomforting, solid presence. Even in the dim light, his eyes were mesmerized. "You look incredible," he murmured, his hand sliding slowly down between her thighs. "Almost too pretty to touch. Almost."
He began with a slow, tortousingly gentle caress against her slick entrance, tracing her folds before making deliberate circles on her throbbing clit. Nancy couldn't help but let out little whimpers and moans, sounds she didn't know she was capable of making. And every sound that came out of her mouth seemed to fuel the fire in Ace's eyes, making his own breathing hitch.
"Tell me if I'm going too fast," he whispered against her skin, his lips brushing her collarbone. "Is this okay? You like this?"
"Yes," she gasped, her eyes fluttering shut. "Please, Ace."
"Please what?" he teased, his lips hovering just above hers, his breath hot, without stopping his motion, gently guiding his fingers to her wet opening, but stopping just short of entering her, just to hear her sigh with anticipation. "You've gotta be specific."
In response, Nancy pouted. “Don't be a jerk. You know exactly what I mean.”
"Want to hear it from you, Princess."
She sighed, feeling a sense of defeat mixed with a thrilling rush of embarrassment. But deep down, she reveled in this game, this delicious torment he was inflicting on her.
"Put your fucking fingers inside of me", she managed to say.
"Good girl," he whispered against her lips, his fingers finally entering her with excruciating gentleness, causing her to let out a loud moan at the exquisite stretch. He watched her face closely, his expression a mix of raw heat and fierce vigilance. "Now let's see if I can give you something new to write about in that diary."
He began to move his fingers inside her, slowly at first, then with increasing confidence as her body responded, her inner muscles clenching around him. His thumb found her clit, pressing and circling in a rhythm that had her writhing beneath him. It was rentless. Delicious. So much Nancy even thought she could get addicted to his fingers.
Even though she knew full well that he still had other parts of his body to use.
Nancy's hands roamed his skin, tracing the hard planes of his back through his shirt before moving down to palm the hard, thick length straining against his pants. She was momentarily intimidated by his size, but the low growl that escaped his lips at her touch was all the encouragement she needed.
It felt a little strange, awkward, but at the same time, Nancy was so intoxicated by the growing dampness—the precum soaking from the tip—of his cock that she couldn't stop stroking it.
"Ah... Fuck, Nancy," Ace groaned, his hips bucking involuntarily into her touch. "You keep doing that and this'll be over before it really starts."
"Well, well. So you prefer me to stop?" she teased, immediantly ceasing her motion with a mischievous grin, though her voice was breathy, laced with a desire she could no longer contain.
Ace let out a low, throaty laugh that vibrated through his chest and into her.
"Oh, you're going to pay for that." He curled his fingers inside her, finding a spongy, sensitive spot that made her cry out, her back arching off the seat. The pace fastened, and that wet sound filled the car, an obscene noise that proved her arousal. "Not so cocky now, huh? How's that feel? You like being filled up like this? You like my fingers stretching your pussy open?"
"Oh—Ace. You bastard," she gasped, her nails digging into his shoulders, trying to anchor herself against the tidal wave of pleasure. "God, yes."
"Good," he murmured, his fingers continuing their relentless, expert assault as his free hand moved to the zipper of her dress, deftly undoing it. "Because I've been dreaming about tasting you for a long time."
He shifted positions, spreading her legs wider as he moved down her body, his lips trailing a path of fire down her stomach. Nancy's breath hitched, her heart leaping into her throat as she realized his intentions. Before he could proceed, he paused, looking up at her from between her thighs, his eyes burning with a question.
"You okay with this?" he asked, his voice a low hum of anticipation. "I want to taste you so fucking badly, but only if you're comfortable."
"Get down here, Portgas," she countered, reaching up to pull him by the collar.
Ace's response was a wicked, triumphant grin before he lowered his head, his tongue finding her clit with unerring accuracy.
Nancy cried out, a sharp, broken sound as her hands flew to his hair, her fingers tangling in the dark strands. Waves of almost unbearable pleasure washed over her as Ace began to lick and suck with practiced, devastating skill. His tongue was everywhere—flat and broad, then pointed and precise—lapping at her folds, circling her entrance, and then returning to focus on her pulsing clit. His hands held her hips steady, his grip firm yet gentle as she writhed beneath him, lost to sensation.
"God, you taste even better than I imagined," he murmured against her, his voice a low, intimate vibration that seemed to travel directly through her clit. "So fucking sweet and ready for me. All for me."
Nancy could only moan in response, her mind going blank, every thought consumed by the pleasure he was giving her. The dual stimulation of his tongue and fingers was almost too much, a sensory overload that pushed her higher and higher, her entire body tensing, coiling like a spring.
"Ace," she gasped, her voice high and tight. "I'm going to... I can't..."
"Let go, baby," he encouraged,
his words a muffled, wicked vibration against her swollen, sensitive flesh. "That's it. I want to feel you come on my tongue. Give it to me, Nancy. All of it. Fucking drown me in it. Let me see how good I make you feel."
His permission, his filthy, beautiful command, was the final push. Nancy shattered. A strangled, high-pitched cry ripped from her throat as her orgasm crashed over her, a blinding, all-consuming tidal wave of pleasure. Her back arched violently off the seat, her body a bowstring drawn taut and then released. Her inner muscles clenched rhythmically around his fingers, pulsing, milking them as wave after wave of intense pleasure wracked her body. Ace groaned against her, the sound deep and guttural, as he eagerly drank her down, his tongue tirelessly working her through the spasms, prolonging her ecstasy until she was a trembling, whimpering mess, utterly boneless and spent.
When the tremors finally subsided and she drifted back to earth, panting and dazed, she found Ace grinning up at her from between her thighs, his face slick and glistening with her arousal in the dim light. He looked incredibly smug, incredibly proud, and so fucking turned on it made her ache all over again.
He slowly crawled back up her body, pressing his lips against hers in a deep, possessive kiss that allowed her to taste herself on his tongue. "God, that was the hottest thing I've ever seen," he said, his voice thick and raspy with desire. "You're so fucking beautiful when you come. But I can't hold back any longer. I need to get my dick inside you. Right now."
He shifted slightly, reaching for his wallet on the floor of the car. He pulled out a small foil packet, his fingers surprisingly steady as he ripped it open with his teeth. As he expertly rolled on the condom, he looked down at her, his expression a serious, heated question one last time.
"Final chance to kick me out into the cold," he teased softly, though his eyes were dark with intent. "You sure you're ready for this?"
Nancy met his gaze, her own eyes heavy with lust and a new, tender emotion. A boldness she didn't know she possessed surged through her. "Can you please stop asking, Ace? I told you a thousand times I was okay with it!" she chuckled with tenderness. "Just fuck me already."
Ace smiled, a slight blush on his cheeks. “I'm sorry. It's just that I really like you, and I truly want this to be something special for you.”
He positioned himself between her legs, the thick head of his cock nudging against her still-throbbing entrance. "I'll be gentle at first. Just breathe. Tell me if it hurts, okay?"
Nancy nodded, bracing herself as he began to push into her slowly, carefully. There was a sharp, brief sting as her body stretched to accommodate his impressive size, a foreign, full sensation that made her whimper and tense. Ace froze immediately, his body tense above hers.
"Easy, girl. Breathe," he murmured, his forehead resting against hers. "That's it, you're doing so good, taking me so well. Fucking perfect." He stayed perfectly still, letting her adjust, pressing soft, distracting kisses to her lips, her jaw, her neck. "Such a good girl, taking all of me."
His praise, his gentle dominance, worked like a charm. Gradually, the discomfort faded, replaced by a strange, intense pleasure in the feeling of being so completely filled, so utterly claimed by him. She experimentally shifted her hips, and a jolt of pure electricity shot through her.
"Okay?" he asked, his voice strained with the effort of holding still. "You okay for me to move?"
"Okay," she breathed, a small, sly smile playing on her lips. "More than okay. Move, Ace. Go ahead."
His eyes darkened with a primal heat. "Careful what you wish for, princess."
Ace began to move, slowly at first, withdrawing almost completely before sliding back in, each stroke deliberate and deep, stretching her, filling her completely. The confined space of the car made their movements awkward but intensely intimate, the sound of their breathing and the slick slap of flesh meeting flesh filling the small sanctuary.
"Fuck," he groaned against her neck, his voice a low growl. "You feel incredible. So goddamn tight and perfect. You like it when I fuck you hard? When I pound this tight little cunt?"
"Oh, Ace," she gasped his name, her nails digging into the muscles of his back, urging him on. Nancy cried out his name again and again from pure pleasure, savoring every letter, letting her voice revel in every second of it. She couldn’t believe she was finally moaning the name of the boy she liked, right there beside him, lost in his eyes, his skin, his warmth, his body.
Her legs wrapped tightly around his waist, pulling him deeper, wanting more. The car windows began to fog up completely, sealing them in their own private, steamy world as their bodies moved together in a frantic, desperate rhythm.
"Oh god, that face, Nancy. You're gonna be the death of me, I swear," he grunted, his thrusts becoming more powerful, more demanding.
"You gonna come for me again?" he taunted, his voice rough with exertion. "You gonna soak my cock this time? I want to feel it. Come on, Nancy, look at me. Don't you dare take your eyes off me."
Nancy forced her eyes open, meeting his intense, burning gaze. The raw emotion and desire she saw there was her undoing. That, combined with the relentless stimulation of his thick cock hitting that perfect spot over and over, sent her hurtling over the edge again.
Her second orgasm tore through her, even more powerful than the first. Her entire body seized up, a white-hot explosion of pleasure that radiated from her core out to every limb. Her pussy clamped down around him like a vice, pulsing and milking his length as a gush of wetness soaked him.
"I'm... I'm gonna... Oh, Nancy." Ace mumbled, his control finally snapping. He thrust into her once, twice more, hard and deep, before his own orgasm overtook him. He buried his face in her neck with a raw, choked groan, his body shuddering violently as he emptied himself into her, his hips jerking erratically as he rode out his release.
They collapsed together in a tangled, sweaty heap, the only sound in the car their harsh, ragged pants as they struggled to catch their breath. The air was thick with the scent of sex and sweat, a heady, primal perfume. After a long moment, Ace shifted, carefully easing his weight off her pulling out, taking off the condom and and tying a knot in it.
He pressed soft, gentle kisses against her forehead, her temple, the corner of her eye, his skin sliding against hers with a soft, tacky sound that made Nancy’s face heat up all over again.
"Jesus Christ," Nancy whispered, her voice barely audible, her limbs feeling like they were made of jelly. "You... you're trying to kill me."
“Hey, I can be a gentleman when the stakes are high,” he teased, though he squeezed her waist a little tighter. “And you… God, Nancy. I didn’t know you were that loud. I think I think the people in town can hear you from down below the cliff.”
Ace let out a soft, breathless laugh, nuzzling her neck. "Not yet, princess," he teased, his voice a low, contented rumble.
"I can't believe this actually happened," she whispered, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw. "You're much more gentle thank I expected".
"Ace!" she chirped, even if she was still smiling.
“What? It’s a compliment,” he grinned, his eyes sparkling with that familiar, mischievous glint. “It means I was doing my job right."
Ace leaned down, kissing her forehead with a lingering sweetness.
"Damn, I like you. I really, really like you so much, Nancy. I want to be be stucked up with you here forever."
Nancy beamed, her heart swelling with a joy so intense it rivaled the pleasure from moments before. She opened her mouth to reply, but her gaze inadvertently flickered toward the green glow of the digital clock on the dashboard.
1:30 AM.
The silence that followed was deafening. Both of them froze, the blood draining from their faces in synchronized terror.
“Oh, no,” Nancy whispered, her eyes wide with a sudden, sharp realization.
“Fuck,” Ace choked out, his voice dropping an octave. “Your old man's gonna kill me for sure.”
Nancy bit her lip, a wave of genuine anxiety washing over her. "He’s going to kill us. He’s going to kill you, and then he’s going to lock me in the basement until I’m thirty."
Ace stared at the clock for another three seconds, looking like he was calculating his odds of surviving a duel with a master swordsman. Then, to Nancy’s utter disbelief, he started to laugh—a low, helpless chuckle that turned into a full-blown grin.
“What is wrong with you?” she hissed, trying to untangle her dress ruffles. “He’s going to turn you into a kebab!”
"You know what?" he said, leaning over and caught her by the waist, pulling her in for one last, hard kiss.

I apologize to all of those who requested a matchup back in January. My life has been a bit chaotic lately, and I didn’t feel inspired to write. However, I now feel inspired, so let’s dive in and see how many matchups I can get through.
Hello, my darling <3
It feels wrong to pair you with anyone other than Sanji, even if it is the most obvious answer.
He’s just your perfect match— what can I say?
Sanji is the perfect lover. He loves the idea of love. He’s a hopeless romantic who adores romanticizing it all— the dates, the courting, the gifts, the poems, everything.
He’s also a gentleman: kind, smart, and thoughtful, someone who would treat you like the queen you are.
He’s a Pisces man (first time that’s not a red flag), and so are you. I think Pisces + Pisces relationships are probably the most emotionally deep. Sanji is very perceptive— he just knows when you’re starting to feel off, and he’s always there to either talk about it or offer you a hug.
You two would probably meet in a very whimsical way. Maybe in a coffee shop or at a baking class (Sanji hates to admit it, but baking isn’t always his forte).
He would approach you first, smooth as ever. He’d charm you with honey-drizzled words, then top it off with a kiss on the back of your hand, pulling a rose out of who knows where just to wrap up the interaction nicely.
(He’s so cheesy, yuck— I love him)
Once you’re dating, he goes all out: flowers here and there, love letters, cute dates, and Tupperware with meals he prepared for the crew but wanted you to taste too. That last thing is like a ritual to him, you better believe you’re going to get fed by him every chance he gets. He’s the embodiment of all love languages at once, but his most personal one is cooking for his loved ones.
He would frame any drawing you gave him. He’s so proud to have an artistic girlfriend who gives him lovely drawings of himself, it just makes him fall even harder for you.
When you two spend time together, it’s probably something cozy— like a rainy night preparing a warm meal, then cuddling while watching a movie.
Maybe baking together and going to a park for a nice picnic. And museum dates, too.

I was wondering if you could do a little zodiac compatibility reading for me and Vista 🩷 since you wrote up his entire chart (love you for that) and opened matchup requests !
I’m a Cancer Sun, Scorpio Moon, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Virgo, and Scorpio Rising 💕
Thanks in advance!
-bouquet 🎀
Bonsoir, chérie <3
Starting strong: Vista and you are very compatible in the love department (huzzah to that!)
I think this is the peak of compatibility in both your charts, since you both have such strong water sign energy. Cancer and Pisces Venus are super intense placements; usually very emotional, hopeless romantics. In a way, you’d match each other’s freak— meaning you’d both be all about fairy tales, princess x knight vibes, 90s rom-com energy, and every type of corny shit imaginable. This man would learn French, swim across oceans for you, and then write poetry about how the light reflects in your golden hair just because (yuck, so corny… who would even want that… I wish it happened to me 😔).
Although it might seem overly sugary, I feel Vista has a way of balancing it out with his other placements. He’s actually a pretty chill guy in everyday life— but when it comes to love, the man loses his chill demeanor just a bit (if not a lot).
I think that if he has a crush on you, he will straight-up malfunction around you, and once you two have your first kiss, I can see him having a humbling little moment where he blurts out “I love you” right after pulling away to catch his breath.
Which… okay, you go king, but chill the fuck down.
Now, there are a couple of “Compatibility? It depends” placements.
SUN: Vista is an Aquarius man while you’re a Cancer. In my experience— don’t. Luckily, Vista has all those water placements that make the irreparable damage of being an Aquarius man… manageable.
Aquarius and Cancer tend to clash (I looked it up: apparently they form an inconjunct, which is basically an awkward aspect that means the two signs have almost nothing in common). Aquarius is very independent, detached and reserved, while Cancer is usually nurturing, emotional and open-hearted.
Once again, Vista’s heavy Pisces influence saves the day, so I think you could make it work just fine.
MOON: This one can be a bit trickier. You have a Scorpio Moon (me too, twins!) and he has a Libra Moon. You may approach your emotions very differently, which can create conflict. Libra placements are all about harmony and diplomacy, while Scorpio placements are intense as hell.
This one is all about balance, and since Libra is literally symbolized by a fucking scale, he’s going to make it work one way or another.
MERCURY: Gemini and Pisces are both very creative in their own ways. Geminis are the OG communicators (ruled by Mercury), sharp-minded, witty, really fun to be around and yappers. They yap and yap and sometimes struggle to listen. Vista’s Pisces Mercury unfortunately doesn’t balance this out. I feel he comes across as reserved at first, but once he meets someone who matches his freak, he physically cannot shut up.
That said, Vista is also a man who listens (a fucking diamond among men, if you know what I’m saying). He enjoys talking just as much as he enjoys listening, so I think he’d be the one to balance out the absolute chaos that would otherwise happen in conversations between these two placements.
I know this is the most expected part… LET’S TALK ABOUT SEX! 😋
His Mars is in Pisces while yours is in Virgo— they’re opposite each other, which usually means high sexual compatibility in astrology. They’re sister signs; they complement each other perfectly. Pisces Mars is all about fantasy, while you bring balance with your Virgo “down-to-earth” energy.
In a way, you’re both perfectionists when it comes to intimacy. He’s very idealistic—rose petals on the bed, red candles, old tunes in the background kind of lover—while you’re more practical and detail-oriented.
Virgo Mars can be a bit reserved at first while testing the waters, which is just fine by Vista because Pisces is the most adaptable sign. Once you open up, you can unleash all the kinks and sexual preferences and Vista will probably be into most of them since he’s very adaptable and open-minded.
He probably loves role playing a bit too much. He gets lost in the fantasy and if you feed into his delusions, the role-play can get out of hand— a week-long kind of roleplay. But hey, if he wants to be the white knight while he gives you princess treatment, who are you to refuse?
Another thing about Vista: he cries when having sex. I don’t think it always happens, but it has happened enough times to be A Thing. He gets overwhelmed by love, and since sex is probably the moment he’s most vulnerable, he releases everything.
He’s probably very clingy too, in a “I want to merge your soul with mine” kind of way.
I also get the vibe that he’s all about eye contact— I think he lives by the philosophy that the eyes are the mirrors of the soul.
