After the events of War Crimes, Sokka and Zuko have escaped Zhao’s warship and are fleeing across the Earth Kingdom. As well as unfamiliar terrain, they have to navigate their shared trauma, work out where they fit into the war, and their place in each others lives.

Sokka is aware that being friends with the enemy is going to bring complications, but he probably should have guessed that being friends with Zuko in particular, was going to be a bit like dunking your head repeatedly into a bucket of angry Fire Ferrets.

Katara is also grappling with the confusion of befriending an enemy, something that doesn’t prove as difficult as she had expected with the bond of shared, furious grief bridging old wounds. (Learning a new way to look at her bending doesn't hurt either)

Azula, struggling with the Fire Lord’s mistrust, encounters a few nasty surprises and has to make some difficult decisions. Luckily, she is a great deal better at making sensible choices than her brother.

Life under Zhao will not be fun, but things are not going to all go Zhao’s way either, even if he has gained a lot of political power…

No spoilers, but the stuff that happens towards the end of these next batch of planned chapters is going to be fun I think. And of course everyone is looking forward (with dread) to when Shen inevitably Finds Out.

And on that note, here is some Shen

Jianjun was still looking at Shen, staring him down. He was tall, but Shen was taller, broader and had an unruffled calm that seemed to be rubbing Jianjun the wrong way.

Some of the characters will be leaving Ba Sing Se quicker than others…

I was woundering if we're ever going to here more of Kazumas misadventures getting people arrested for Tax fraud? I sort of get the felling that right now Shen is under the impression that the whole thing is because Kazuma is very by-the-book and whatnot, so is there a possabilaty of a sene of Kazuma explaining why he acually targets the tax stuff specifically? Becase i think Shen would find it hystarical, expecially that he got in a Agni Kai over it.

Haha I think Shen would definitely find the truth of that very entertaining! They don't really know that much about each other and I think this sort of thing would be very endearing to Shen if he were to find out about it.

Last chapter was great! Zukka’s date was so cute. I also have been loving all of Zuko and Azula’s scenes. Can’t wait for Azula and Sokka to meet, I feel like they are going to have a really interesting dynamic. I’m very excited to see what they think of each other!

For the ask game, can I get brother or sister?

Azula and Sokka are going to be lots of fun. It might take them a while to get the measure of each other, but when they do they have the potential to either annoy each other to the extent they cancel each other out, or team up and take over the world. Or maybe some middle ground where they can do both?
