No Room for Man

Lilo loves her new comb.

The person who said cats couldn't be trained.... Lilo's a good girl. She learned not to get on the bed while I was eating. I always keep a cat-safe treat with me while I am eating so she doesn't feel alone. She stays out of my food, and so she gets her own.

She likes nose boops. I just have to ask. And yes, I have three cat beds and a cat tree in my room and only one cat to use them.

Who knew walking your dog would lead to you walking your cat as well? XD But this little puppers is named Xena (I'm telling you, my family is a bunch of nerds). She's an almost ten-year old Pomeranian with weight and depression issues and one blind eye. Because she doesn't get out that often, her claws grow too much and end up causing sores as they grow into her pads so we had to cut them often. Well, I offered to start walking her for my parents, who are too busy to do it themselves. Right now, I just take her around the block since she's winded halfway through, but this time we made it to the end with only two breaks! She's been really excited and her mood has gotten better with the exercise. I now ask her "Want to go bye-bye?!" And she runs straight to the door wanting to go. It's amazing how attention, a lot of encouragement, and support helps her. And this is the dog who gets a haircut every summer and then spends the next three days running around trying to get everyone to notice it and be just as happy about it as she is. A little self-conscious puppers, but one I love! <3

Sometimes she insists that I make her a blanket fort. Then she just lies there trying to steal my hand to hug or making cute sleepy faces at me.

This little creature doesn't like to cuddle so I gave her half my day bed and her own little blanket just to get her to sleep next to me.

Tucker yawns and licks you when you rub his nose.

"Hey, Lilo! You have such pretty green eyes. Can I get a picture?"

She woke up when I left my room, followed me upstairs, then fell asleep on the couch next to me. Gotta love the cats who are that bonded to you.

I have trouble sleeping alone.

Mornings are hard for everyone, but this is what it means to choose to wake up positively. <3 Just choose a cat.

I didn't let them in my room last night, but after I woke up from a nightmare somehow they found their way into my room for cuddles. The dogs know they aren't allowed in my room, though. Poor Scooby Doo.

My lightbulb blew about three seconds before taking the picture so he did not appreciate the flash in his eyes. Oh well. He's been helping me get my art done. :}

And last, but not least, meet Lilo. She's my baby girl with a name from Lilo and Stitch. She was named by my cousins and given to my brother, but once she moved out of her kitten stages my brother realized he didn't like how you couldn't punish a cat to teach it like you do dogs so he gave her to me. She doesn't like to cuddle that much, but she is emotionally dependent and both times she's had kittens she's refused to have any of them until I was sitting right next to her and petting her. She does, however, like to "hold your hand" by letting you hold her paw and her laying her head on your hand to sleep. Most cuddly she gets. Every time I've tried to get her spayed she's ended up pregnant before I can take her in. It's getting annoying, but she has an appointment in the only available date next month so fingers crossed.

Meet Thor. Named after the Marvel character, of course. It's hilarious because he's a GIANT cat with a head twice the size of the other cats, but a meow so small and high-pitched you wouldn't believe it. Dragon's meow sounds like a smoker's with how deep it is, but this baby's masculinity is so cute. ^~^ He's an outside cat who comes in for treats and cuddles before going back out for a couple of days... but no matter how many times I've tried to cut out his dreads and give him a good brush he's freaked out so I've (mostly) given up. Love him anyway.
