I really don’t think it was the villains that played the prank on Bridget. In “love ain’t it” The Queen of Hearts calls Ella (Cinderella) “two faced”. The whole time I was sitting there waiting for Ella to have been the one to prank Bridget. I saw someone else mention how Ella was grounded from going to the ball because Chloe broke the vase, which wouldn’t have happened in the og storyline.

Now, flash forward Bridget isn’t evil. However, we all know what happens when you mess with the past. So, I believe Red and Chloe saving Bridget from the prank changed something major in the present which will led them to have to go back in time again. They figure out the Ella really did do the prank. Etc. Etc. Eventually Red will figure out the only way to save Cinderella and Auradon is to go back and make sure she doesn’t end up going to Auradon, keeping her mom away from it.
