A Positive Disney Princess Prospective

Which one of Ariel sisters is your favorite? Mine have always been Andrina and aquata. Andrina and Ariel are close in my TLM stories. I also have a head cannon for Andrina as to what career she chose and how her life turned out. What about the rest of you? I love Ariel and the mysterious world above because you get to hear from her sisters and their portrayed by the original voice actresses. 

Some people are complaining that Elena can't be heard over the loud instrumental in Be Bold. I was able to hear her just fine. I love Be Bold and Elena's part of the song is my favorite. Elena and Rapunzel do harmonize well together. After listening to Be Bold since last night, I have fanfiction ideas where Elena and Rapunzel are friends. Be Bold means a lot to me as a trauma survivor. While I prayed Elena would have a solo for her first song in RM, I'm hopeful she'll have one in her future episodes.

The Royal Magic soundtrack was hit or miss for me. My favorite songs are Be Bold, Most Magical Me, My Castle Home, Time to Shine and Unstoppable. I'm so excited to experience Xandria's episode debut. Eden is a powerhouse in Unstoppable! I'm glad Rapunzel is in the episode too! It would have been awesome if Elena had been in Xandria's debut episode. But I love Rapunzel too. As for Be Bold, I almost started crying when Elena started singing. I've missed her so much! As much as I hoped Elena would have a solo or duet with Sof where Elena would have most of the song to herself, she and Rapunzel harmonize well together. Be Bold has helped me on my own trauma recovery journey. I love the beat and the beginning intro is awesome! I'm excited to know what Elena says to her chosen sister before she starts singing to Sof when the episode debuts. It's actually sparked some fanfic ideas where Elena and Rapunzel are friends. As for Most Magical Me, I love any Camila solo song. Camila is my first favorite character in the series. My Castle Home is sweet and sincerely Sofia. I've listened to Be Bold since buying it last night. It actually helped me through a hard time trauma wise today. Here's hoping Elena has a solo in her next episode. I'm excited to experience Elena's first episode, along with Rapunzel being there. I love how Elena tells Sof the truth about Sof thinking she doesn't measure up bc she wasn't born royal is a crutch and is holding her back. Her chosen sister had to hear the truth and I'm glad Elena was the one to give Sof a hard truth in a loving way when she assures Sof she's belonged all along.

I'm more excited for Royal Magic than before! And it's all thanks to Eden Espanoza portraying Xandria, the villaness of the series. Eden was amazing as Kass in Rapunzel's Tangled Adventures and the Queen of Hearts in Alice's Wonderland Bakery. She's going to hit it out of the park as Zandria! This character, along with ELena's return, Moana's debut and Jasmine and Raps episodes are going to make this series a hit despite the constraints put on the crew by Disney.

I don't mind that the Mystic isles storyline was dropped in Royal Magic. The overall storyline is going to be awesome! I just wish Disney didn't have control of the series so it could be 23 minutes long and they could do away with the simple storytelling for Season 2 on.

I wanna post my respectful response to someone's meanspirited and invalidating opinion of Elena I read on readit on here, but I don't know how to put text under a cut the non sighted way. Could someone help me? This way I can post some of my Elena fanfics up here and ppl who don't wanna read them can just skip my posts rather than wading through them. Gracias in advance.

I can't believe there's only one more week to go until Sofia the First: Royal Magic premieres come this Tuesday! It feels like it was just February yesterday and the wait felt sooo long! I'm hoping Disney releases previews for the rest of the songs on the soundtrack as well as clips and featurettes.

The frustrating part of Sofia the First Royal Magic is the episode length.  They should have left it at 23/24 minutes long and trusted the fandom.  If Royal Magic was truly for the fans who grew up with the original, then they shouldn’t have shortened the episodes.   They should have combined the storyline for Royal Magic with the more mature storyline from season 4 of the original series.  The overall storyline for Royal Magic isn’t the issue.  You can’t tell a complete story in 12 minutes.  It’s impossible.  It’s unfortunate the series may not survive because of the episode length and simple storytelling.  Royal Magic deserves a real chance to succeed.

I was wondering if anyone found the episode summaries for the first 8 episodes of Sofia the First Royal Magic dropping on Disneyplus on the 26th of this month? If the programming highlights for DJ had been released, we would know wat they were about. But they pulled the programming highlights for Disney Junior back in November of 2025. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
